After passing Lingyundu, when I continued to go up, I felt that I was more relaxed than ever. It didn't take long before I saw Leiyin Temple.

Outside the temple, there are many green pines, and many upasakas, upasiks, monks, nuns and monks are practicing under the trees. I just want to salute, but they avoid me and urge me to go into the temple to see the Tathagata.

In front of the mountain gate, the Four Great King Kongs were already waiting here, reporting layer by layer. After waiting for a while, they led us into the temple, passed through three gates, and came to the Daxiong Hall.At this time, many gods and Buddhas had gathered in the Daxiong Hall, calling out loudly from the inside and outside: "Holy monk, come in."

I took a deep breath and stepped into the Daxiong Palace.

"Poor monk Xuanzang, I have seen the Tathagata Buddha." I ignored the pressured gazes from both sides, and looked at the Tathagata sitting on the top seat.

The Tathagata looked at me, and when our eyes met, I knew the pretense I had put on had failed.

However, now that I have arrived at Lingshan, I don't expect to keep it a secret.

"Kasyapa, Anuo, please lead all the eminent disciples to Zhenlou first, so that you can entertain them." Tathagata ordered, "Xuanzang has a relationship with me in his previous life, please come and talk with me."

"Master." Brother Hou looked at me with anxiety in his eyes.

Instead, I breathed a sigh of relief, and took a good look at the few enlightenment, "It's okay, you go out first."

When they were far away, I could still hear Zhu Bajie's grumbling voice, "...don't worry, even if the master doesn't like the Buddha anymore and can't get the scriptures, let's go back if it's a big deal. There is still a big field..."

I don’t know the expressions of Kasyapa and Anuo who lead the way for Brother Monkey and the others, but the expressions of the other Bodhisattvas in the hall are wonderful enough, and some of them couldn’t help but look at me. I returned a bright smile.

Then bow your head and chant sutras again.

"Follow me." Tathagata stepped down from the upper position, left a word, and then walked back.

The land of western bliss is not something you can talk about casually. At least, on the path we walked, there are fairy flowers and grasses on both sides, and fairy fruits on the trees. .The sound of Buddha lingers in the ears, and you can breathe freely.

"How about Dongtu Datang?" Tathagata asked me.

Before I saw the Tathagata, I had imagined the scene when we met, but no matter which one, there is no peace now. There is compassion and compassion in his eyes. Just being seen by him, I have a kind of desire to be with him The urge to tell my grievances, because there is a feeling in the dark that tells me that no matter what I say, it can be tolerated.

but--

I closed my eyes and suppressed the impulse, "It's not as good as I imagined, but it's still a safe place to live."

"How does it compare with Western bliss?" Tathagata asked.

"It's a world of difference." I didn't try to be brave on this point. The reason why I said that Datang is not as good as I imagined is because the reference comes from thousands of years later, but even after a thousand years, I want to find a place that can be compared with Lingshan. Comparable boundaries are also impossible.

"Then why are you unwilling to learn from the scriptures?" The Tathagata looked at me, his eyes were still compassionate, but it gave me great pressure.

"The people of the Tang Dynasty in the Eastern Land, can they turn the Eastern Land into the Western Heaven by reading the scriptures of the Western Heaven?" I also asked.

"If people want to be kind, why not?" Tathagata answered me.

"There pays attention to benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trustworthiness, how can it be unkind?"

"It is true that Kong established the teachings of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith, but most of the punishments for criminals are exile, hanging, beheading, and excessive persuasion. How ignorant and ignorant. Only relying on the height of the sky, the depth of the land, the density of the population, the more greed, the more killing, the more There are many deceits, many deceptions, many crimes, endless crimes, evil permeates, and falls into the netherworld forever. Some people enter the animal realm, pay their debts with their bodies, and feed their meat to others; There are three Tibetan scriptures in the Western Heaven, which can relieve troubles and disasters, and spread the Dharma to the East, with immeasurable merits and virtues, but you are unwilling to do so and deviate from the scriptures. Now I ask you, what do you say?"

I never knew that the most powerful country in the world in this era, in my mind, had such a low evaluation from Tathagata. He belittled so thoroughly that I didn't know where to start for a while.

Confucianism, Confucianism, is certainly a signboard erected by the rulers in order to maintain their own rule, but it has been developed and infiltrated for thousands of years, and it is by no means without merit. But now that Tathagata said this, I actually feel that the entire Dongtu Tang Dynasty is a den of bandits and robbers.

Moreover, Buddhism claims to be the savior of the East, where does it put the Taoist heaven?

I don't know if this counts as preposterous.

"Create evil causes and bear evil consequences." I said in a low voice, "Since you have created evil karma, then no matter whether you fall into fame or Abi, don't you deserve it? Don't those people's bodies are full of sin? Disappeared?"

"Who can be without fault?" Tathagata asked, "If one abandons evil and pursues good, it is considered a merit."

"Abandon the evil and turn to the good, so what is the guilt of the victims who were bullied by the evil before? Seeing that the perpetrators are not only not punished, but have a new creation?" I asked.

"If you devote your whole heart to Buddha, you will have a heart of forgiveness." Tathagata said, "I thought you had realized something over the years, but if you don't want to, you will be even worse than before."

I was taken aback by this evaluation.

rude?I?

Am I being rude if I don't agree with this statement? But not everything is worthy of forgiveness, the harm has already been done, is it necessary to choose to forgive because of the perpetrator’s true or false awakening, otherwise is there no heart for forgiveness?

Those who choose to forgive certainly have a tolerant heart, but should those who refuse to forgive be blamed?

I shook my head, "That's not right. Believers are devout for the comfort in their hearts, not to be toys in the hands of gods and Buddhas, and they can't help themselves."

"Since you have sincerely believed, you will not be selfish, and you will entrust your family, life and other things together." Tathagata said, "Only those with impure minds will care about these things."

"So, for the merits of the gods and Buddhas, pious believers can die calmly, and those with impure thoughts will have more than a lingering death?" Believers, "Who the hell is selfish?"

"It's because you are too utilitarian, you only look at the present." Tathagata looked at me as if I was hopeless, "Cultivation in this life will bring blessings in the next life. The lives of mortals are nothing but life and death, and the soul does not change. Why bother?" For a while."

What is the conflict of three views, this is the conflict of three views.I said this life, he said the next life, as long as I live well in this life, I don't care about the afterlife, drink a bowl of Mengpo soup, who will know who?

However, I can't say this to Ru. He stands too high and sees too far. If I were in his position, I can't guarantee that I would think the same way.In other words, if I really inherited Jin Chanzi's memory, I would probably agree.

The thought flashed through my mind, and then it flew away.

If Jin Chanzi really thought this way, things like this wouldn't happen now.He had made a choice long ago, and he naturally knew what consequences he would bear. But he did it anyway, and this was his final answer.

"Dare to ask the Buddha, what happened to Jin Chanzi when he was demoted to the earth?" Under the gaze of Tathagata, it was difficult for me to keep silent, so I could only change the subject.

"Don't you remember?" Tathagata asked me.

I felt a little more at ease in my heart, "I only remember that I am Jin Chanzi, and I was demoted for neglecting Buddhism. This is what other people who know Jin Chanzi told me, but is there any inside story?"

"You have indeed neglected the Dharma, and you are stubborn, so I want you to practice in the lower realm." The Tathagata said, "In the previous nine lives, although you had no memory, you devoted yourself to the Buddha. No, you will definitely be able to complete your merits and virtues and live up to the previous hardships. As a result, you only missed a few glances, and you actually became more stubborn than the former Jin Chanzi."

"What did Jin Chanzi realize at the beginning?" I simply asked directly.

"You don't remember." This time, Tathagata's voice was not only affirmative, but also helpless, "You don't remember, but it still hasn't changed. Is this really God's will?"

What I heard was inexplicable.

Tathagata took me into a pagoda and walked to the top step by step. He pointed to a row of sealed boxes and said to me, "These are what Jin Chanzi realized."

I took a look at Tathagata and saw that he had no objection, so I opened the box, and with the excitement of opening a treasure box, I flipped through the papers that had been sealed for an unknown amount of time.

I don't know how much Jin Chanzi's attainment in Buddhism is higher than mine. When I read them all, the sun and the moon outside have changed several times, only the Tathagata is always on the side.

"What do you think?" Tathagata asked me.

"The following scriptures are a bit messy, and there are a few self-contradictory places." I wondered in my heart, "Is this the only one? There is nothing unusual in it. Buddhism is tolerant. I have also seen unique people. Why did you come to Jin Dynasty?" Is the cicada so harsh here?"

"I am naturally happy with my disciple's success in learning, but if..."

I heard the Tathagata tell another story.

Tathagata really doesn't mind his disciples going out to set up households, and there are not one or two of his disciples who have Taoist temples outside. If they can bloom everywhere and make the surrounding believers wholeheartedly devote themselves to the Buddha, that would be the best of course. So, if Jin Chanzi got something back then, wouldn't Tathagata be unhappy?Although Jin Chanzi realized this when he was forced to practice closed mantra, what does it matter?

But I think that if you want a talkative person to force his mouth to shut up, humane and inhumane will be discussed separately, but that person has been suppressed for a long time, and he can't say anything, and he may mutate in his heart.

The Tathagata has a discerning eye and can calculate, but he couldn't hold back for a while, forgetting to calculate the future achievements of his clever second disciple who is talkative and unprogressive. It's a pity that the result is completely different from what he thought. Jin Chanzi will become a Buddha, but Tathagata sees a future that he can't let go of through Jin Chanzi who became a Buddha.

The Lingshan is gone, and the gods and Buddhas are gone.

"I don't think this has anything to do with Jin Chanzi." I felt my voice dry up, "Since Lingshan and all the gods and Buddhas are gone, Jin Chanzi can't be alone."

"It's true that he didn't take care of himself alone, but the result has already been caused." Tathagata said, "I traced back to the source and made one or two speculations. All of this is actually related to Jin Chanzi's enlightenment."

I recalled the scriptures I read just now, and desperately recalled several times of ideological liberation. Even if I was killed, I would not believe that this could have something to do with Jin Chanzi. It's not impossible. How did the Buddha determine that Jin Chanzi was the culprit?"

"This matter may be related to him, or it may not be related to him, but I can't let him continue to understand." Tathagata said.

"That's why there is negligence of Buddhism, reincarnation for ten lives." I whispered, "The Buddha believed that this matter was related to Jin Chanzi, so he let him reincarnate, sealed his memory, and asked him to pursue the Buddha's Dharma for life after life, but he couldn't get it until Ten lifetimes of hard work is over, forget what you have realized, obtain the scriptures, bring them back to the Tang Dynasty, spread them to believers, and complete your merits and virtues."

"It's just a failure in the end." Tathagata sighed.

I shook my head, "This won't change anything. Even if I really bring the scriptures back to the Tang Dynasty and let the people of China recite the Buddha's name, the final result will still not change. The moon waxes and wanes, and when there is brilliance, there will be decline. This is not something that can be changed by a little change.”

Tathagata looked at me and said nothing.

I finally understood why the bodhisattvas I met along the way were quite different from what I had imagined. If the time when the gods and Buddhas died as mentioned by the Tathagata is consistent with my imagination, then the number of years to come is only a thousand years. time for them. For mortals, this is a long and desperate time, but for gods and Buddhas, what is this time?

Monkey King has been suppressed for 500 years at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain, and the time left for them is not enough to suppress Monkey King three times.

If Tathagata were an ordinary person, I would say that he is too pretentious. But in fact, the Tathagata is much more powerful than me. What I can understand, he may not be unable to understand. Now he is obsessed with variables and wants to change to the future, but he just refuses to accept that future.

"You came in a hurry." Tathagata said, "If you continue to study on the road, and you can't use your abilities freely, wait until the day when the Dharmakaya is unified, maybe you will understand what I said."

"Will Buddha give me so much time?" I disagree.

Tathagata looked at me, "No, you've already wasted too much time on the road."

I'm not surprised by this result.

"Tang Sanzang will bring the Mahayana scriptures back to the east." Tathagata said.

"But I won't." I agreed.

"I tried my best to lead you back to the right path, and now I have exhausted my benevolence and righteousness, as well as my mentor-student relationship."

"I know." I looked at Tathagata, "but this still won't change the future. I used to think that gods and Buddhas represent the way of heaven, but I was wrong. Xing, will die."

"What I'm doing now is for a chance to change." Tathagata raised his palm, "I will make all families in the east recite the scriptures, everyone will do good, and the true Buddha will never die."

"I guess I can't see the day."

"You had a chance."

"Master." I read this unfamiliar word, "You know I won't sit still."

"Namo Amitabha."

In a golden light, I heard someone sighing.
