Chapter 17, Episode 17

Episode 17

The big event of the fifth grade, the OWLs exam, finally started at the end of the semester.Everything is under control - obviously impossible.Perhaps it was because she had studied too much black art this semester, and during the Defense Against the Dark Arts exam, her wand began to behave differently, completely contrary to the exam requirements.Frustrated, Alex began to take Charms.

The Slytherin and Gryffindor exam rooms were lined up right next to each other, and her place was just behind Sirius Black. All the hijackers were in the same exam room as her, and Lily Evans was assigned to a classroom in front. The Charms exam was fairly standard, with no surprises, except that James Potter had been playing a Snitch with "LE" stamped on it, which Alex guessed meant Lily Evans.

But this is too naive, he wants to catch Lily like he caught the golden snitch?Alex felt a sudden chill.

It's time for the exam to end.Professor Flitwick said, "The test papers are coming", and more than a hundred parchments were collected.

"Okay, you can go!" Professor Flitwick, who was almost overwhelmed by the test papers, waved his hand with difficulty.

Alex saw James couldn't wait to go out with Sirius and the others. Severus Snape was near the door, still reading the test paper seriously, his greasy hair sticking to his face .

"Evely! Are you looking for Evans?" James Potter said loudly.

Alex turned around: "No, I'm going to the long table in Ravenclaw. Lily has other things to do." She didn't want to review Transfiguration, not to mention that Lily asked Mary MacDonald to read the book together, so she didn't have to bother .

"If, if you meet Evans this afternoon, you can ask her for me—"

"No, please be clever, Potter." Alex waved her hand, she would never help Lily again, it was too much of a headache. So she glanced at Sirius who was happily advising James, and turned to leave the noisy classroom.

Alex went to find Helen Claude and Heidi Parker, they are both in the sixth grade, without the ravages of OWLs, everyone can get together to have a harmonious lunch, and Alex doesn't like to be in the exam Then answer.

When she was about to go back to the classroom after lunch, she heard Lily's angry voice by the lake.

"Let him go!"

Pink soap bubbles came out of Severus Snape's mouth continuously, and even made him cough continuously, almost out of breath.

"Lily!" Alex walked over.

"Alex! Look! They are childish bastards." Lily blushed and turned to James Potter, "Let him go! Did he do anything to you?"

"Well... his existence is a problem, if you know what I'm talking about..." James Potter said casually.

The surrounding students started laughing, including Sirius Black and Peter Pedillo, but Lupine never laughed, and neither did Alex and Lily.

"You think you're funny," Lily said dryly, "but you're just a pompous, bullying bastard, Potter, let him go."

"If you go out with me, I'll let him go, Evans," James quickly compromised. "If you...you go out with me, I'll never point my wand at him again, okay?"

Severus Snape suddenly seemed to be put down by something, he kept spitting soap bubbles out, and got his wand that was blown away by Potter before.

"I won't go out with you," Lily said.

"Bad luck, Prongs," Sirius said jokingly.

Alex saw Snape raised his wand viciously at Potter, she secretly thought it was bad, and Slytherin's vengeance would make Potter suffer a lot sooner or later.

"Snape, no!"

However, a bloodstain had already appeared on James Potter's face, but before the second hit fell on his face, Snape was hung upside down. His robe was turned upside down over his head, revealing a pair of thin legs and a pair of graying underpants. Most of the people present laughed, including Sirius, James and Wormtail.

Alex suspected that she had really misjudged—how could such a person deserve her liking? But now the point is not that, she has more important things to do.

"Lily, come with me. Don't stay here anymore." She grabbed Lily.

"Why? Wouldn't it be nice to show Evans how ridiculous the snot is?" James Potter yelled loudly, as if he wanted the whole universe to hear his voice.

Alex gave Potter a stern look. "You shut up."

Alex had never liked Severus Snape, he was too sulky, he was always doing unknown things, and he really did hang out with the pure-bloods all the time. But that doesn't mean he deserves to be treated that way.Now that Dumbledore has dealt with that, it's all over, maybe Severus Snape isn't playing with them anymore, maybe he's still unrepentant, but that should all be submitted too Give it to a higher-level professor or principal to solve it.As far as the facts are concerned, it is wrong for James Potter to bully him, and this will not have any results other than exacerbating the conflict.

Potter froze. "Evely, are you blaming me?"

"Otherwise? Do you blame Merlin?" Alex retorted, and then she turned to Lily, "Let's go, don't stay here, it's useless for you to watch here."

"Why should I go, Alex? Potter is bullying my friend." Lily was trembling with Potter's anger. She pushed Alex away and said angrily to Potter, "Hurry up Come down!"

Alex stared at Snape intently, although his face was covered by the hanging robes, she could feel his desperation. It's not that she didn't know how much he valued Lily-Evans. Although she didn't feel it very clearly, she was definitely not ignorant. It was obvious from the fact that she always brought Lily to find Snape's displeasure.

"If I drag you away now," Alex glanced at Severus Snape who was suspended in the air, "do you believe that Snape will be grateful to me for the rest of his life?"

"What's the trouble with it, I'll just let him go." James snorted, swung his wand, and Snape fell to the ground. As soon as he put on his wizard robes and raised his wand, he heard Sirius waving "Petrify All" casually, and Snape was immediately frozen.

"Let him go!" Lily pointed her wand at James and Sirius.

"Lily, no, don't take the wand. Now. Come with me." Alex held her back, but couldn't help but glared at Sirius Black and James Potter, who were still indifferent. What did they think it was?Is it a fun game?

"No!" Lily shook her off forcefully, pointing at James Potter, "Undo his spell!"

James sighed forcefully, and softly said a counter-curse to Snape.

He motioned Snape away contemptuously. "Lucky for you, if Evans wasn't here, snotty you—"

"I don't need a dirty mudblood like her to help me!"

Lily froze.Alex was also stunned.

"Okay," Lily said coldly to Snape, "I don't give a damn about you, and if I were you, I'd wash my trousers, snot."

Alex sighed inwardly, she couldn't bear to watch it any longer.

"Sorry to Evans!" Potter yelled at Snape, holding him up with his own wand.

"I don't need you to make him apologize, you and he are not good people." Lily shouted at him.

"What? I never, never called you—that," Potter said in surprise.

"Always messing your hair up because you think you're cool, always showing off that stupid snitch, casting spells on everyone who doesn't like it, just because you want to. You make me sick."

Lily left quickly after speaking.

"Evans! Hi, Evans!" Potter called after her.

Lily didn't look back.

"What's the matter with her?" James Potter asked as if trying to ask an insignificant question.

"What else could it be? She thinks you're an egomaniac." Alex explained indifferently, and she decided to go find Lily - if she could catch up. "It's not a joke, Potter. "

"It would be presumptuous to punish a dirty Slytherin," Sirius said dismissively.

The question of Slytherin and Gryffindor has always been the thorn in Alex's heart. She was suddenly irritated, glared at him angrily, and asked word by word: "Siris- Black, please explain, what is a dirty Slytherin?"

"Isn't he?" Sirius asked contemptuously.

Alex almost sneered. "What about me? I'm a Slytherin too."

"This question has nothing to do with you." Sirius pouted his chin indifferently, motioning her to stand aside, "Don't involve yourself, Everly."

Alex asked through gritted teeth. "Blake, when will you let go of your Gryffindor arrogance? You look like this... you are no different from the 'those Slytherins' you hate."

"What do you mean?" Sirius frowned.

"Noble Gryffindor," she almost laughed angrily, and the anger drilled into her heart, bit by bit her restraint, "I never thought how much my words and deeds could bring to others." The hurt of others, the arrogance of basing one's own happiness on the suffering of others. Sirius Black, you are - selfish. And so are you, James Potter."

Snape didn't know when he picked up his wand, and swung his unknown spell at Potter vigorously. Potter barely dodged it, and wanted to return Snape with a more powerful spell. curse.

Alex couldn't bear it any longer, and took out her wand and pointed it at Potter. "Cut it off, Potter, haven't you had enough fun yet?"

"Don't make me cast a spell on you, Everly." Potter was furious because of what happened to Lily before, and pointed his wand at her aggressively.

"Oh? Then try it." Alex swung his wand and said a spell that no one had ever heard before, and a strange black lightning shot out from the top of the wand and struck straight at James- Potter's arm.

There was only a stabbing sound, and the crowd was in an uproar. There was a long tear in the sleeve of Jaime's wizard robes, exposing his entire arm to the air.

"What is this, Everly!" cried James Potter.

Alex smiled angrily and sullenly. "So what if you know? Punish me? Hang me upside down, or give me a 'petrify everything'?"

"Evely! You're inviting me to cast a spell on you!" Potter had no trouble with her before, and was even considered a friend at one point, but since Alex didn't give him face in public, then he still What is there to worry about?

"I wish for it, Potter. Why don't you show me your skills and let me see how good you are?" Alex even took a step forward.

"Okay! Calm down, all of you!" Lupine finally couldn't stand it any longer, and stood between them, "As long as I'm here, none of you will even try to do anything."

Alex glanced at Lupine, retracted her wand, turned and left.Sirius froze in place, watching her disappear from sight.

--

At night, Regulus Black stood waiting for her in the common room with a potions textbook.

"We will take the potion test tomorrow, can you help me review it again?"

"Okay," Alex said, still aching from anger over what happened in the afternoon, she sat on the sofa next to Regulus, "you can ask."

"Hmm...it's about distillation." Regulus lowered his head and started flipping through the book.

Halfway through their discussion, the door to the living room opened.Snape walked in in a panic, his steps were messy, as if he had lost his soul, his face was very pale - no, pale was not enough to describe him, it was already a kind of paleness like a wall.

Neither Alex nor Regulus greeted him.

Snape glanced at them, as if surprised that they were still in the common room at this time, but he didn't speak, and ran back to his dormitory.Alex looked at him calmly, as if he could see a heart with one horn cut off through his dejected expression, and the bright red blood dripped onto the ground bit by bit along his steps.

"Where did he go? It's long past the curfew." Regulus looked at his pocket watch, thankful that Snape wasn't caught by Filch, the deduction of points was no joke.

Alex sighed. "Probably went to Lily Evans to apologize."

"why?"

"Haven't you heard?" Alex looked at him suspiciously.

"He told Evans... that. Did he?"

Alex was noncommittal, the subject was too sensitive to be brought up, especially in the Slytherin common room.

"Do you have any questions?"

Regulus looked down at the book. "there is none left."

"Then it's time for me to go back. It's too late. Have a nice night, Blake." Alex stood up.She was just about to go back to the dormitory when she heard Regulus calling out to her.

"Evely."

She turned around. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Regulus stood there with the textbook in his hand and said. "If you encounter this kind of thing in the future...don't stand up alone, it's too dangerous. Consider the situation and protect yourself first."

"I see," she nodded wearily. "Thank you, Blake."

--

On the second day of the transfiguration test, Alex went to the Gryffindor girls as soon as she left the test room, but she couldn't find Lily Evans.

"Where's Lily?" She found Mary MacDonald and looked at her tentatively. "She's here for the test, isn't she?"

Mary sighed. "Here she is, she passed the exam and left immediately."

"Where is she now?"

"I don't know, maybe she has gone to pack... She is not in a good mood, Everly."

Mary looked at her a little strangely. She was there yesterday, and witnessed the unknown spell that Alex cast on James Potter - it was obviously some kind of weird dark magic, plus... she was a Slytherin .After what happened yesterday, the opposition between Gryffindor and Slytherin became more obvious.

Alex pretended not to notice the faint hostility of the other party, and nodded lightly. "Thanks."

The author has something to say: Snape's most regretful day finally came.Alas, lion snake.

In fact, every time I write about Regulus, the stupid author is just giggling...
