Harriet Potter
Chapter 51
I open my eyes.
The wind blows on me with steam and salty smell, the sound of the tide echoes below me, and the fine foam wets my skin.I was cold, but nothing compared to the feeling in my chest: it seemed that my chest was pierced by a piece of ice, which was still eating away at my nerves and freezing my flesh and blood.I moved my numb neck and looked down to see the locket in the middle of my chest.I grabbed the chain and pulled it out, as if trying to pull my heart and lungs out of my chest, and the chain snapped and snapped in my face. The locket seemed to come to life in my blurred vision, digging into my heart, I scratched, blood seeped from the edge of the locket, and soon my fingers began to slip, but the locket remained motionless. So I couldn't care less about whether I would be found, screaming and prying it out with everything I could grab, and desperately stuck something in along the edge of it.
Pain flooded me like a dark tide, someone was calling in my ear, I thought it was hallucination... Then I found myself curled up on the hard rock, the bloody locket dropped in front of my eyes. The first thing I did after regaining control of the limb was to knock it aside, the excessive movement involved the wound on my chest, new blood came out and mixed into the ones that had become cold and viscous.I lay down for a while, waiting for the dizziness to pass, and slowly got up and knelt down. During the process, I was caught by a corner of the tent that was pulled out of the mouth of the donkey skin bag.The rest of the pain still washes over me, but it's a clean pain, just from broken flesh and bruises, nothing to worry about.
I fumbled for a while, picked up my wand and lit it.I was standing on a tall boulder, and all kinds of odds and ends that were originally stored in donkey skin bags were scattered all over the ground. A few feet behind me was a steep cliff.I've been to this place before, and in the darkness below there's a portal to the cave where Tom Riddle terrorized the two children. For a moment I wondered why I'd been hiding here in a moment of crisis, and then I saw the locket, perilously resting an inch or so from the edge of the boulder, glimmering in the cloudy night sky.The urge to kick it into the water below, to get rid of it for good, was so strong that I had to clench my fists to stop myself lest I have to fish it later when things calmed down.
Something pierced into my palm, and I raised my hand with difficulty to take a look, and I was holding a lens that was as bloody as my hand.A pair of blue eyes appeared behind the gore, and I almost thought that Dumbledore had finally appeared, but the voice from inside was anxious and rough, which was completely different from what I wanted to hear.
"Potter! Where the hell are you? What's with all this blood?"
I tossed the glasses away, it didn't matter what Aberforth was saying. My rucksack was dropped at Bathilda's house, and the only set of clothes left was not enough to cover my body in the cold wind after being burned by the flames.I was shaking, my jaw was chattering, and my cock's skin was covered in scrapes and burns.Baixian can cure them, the bottle fell next to me, Tohermione's blessing of the strong charm was not broken, but I don't even think I have the strength to pick it up.I don't know what else is important, I've just used up what little clue I had, and it leads to nothing but traps.
Aberforth was still calling in the mirror, and it sounded like a broken radio in my buzzing ears.I wiped my two hands on a part of the jeans that was still intact, and started to pick up the fallen things with the light of my magic wand.Dumbledore's Snitch rolled a little far away, I moved a few feet half-walking and half-crawling, and picked it up, its wings were still flapping weakly, the shiny surface was stained with blood from my hand.It suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't tried this method yet, and I waited for a few seconds, but nothing changed.Fury swept through my body all at once, and I threw it against the stone wall with all my might.
"I'm dying!" I yelled into the icy void. "That's what you want to see, isn't it? To watch me ram around and kill myself—"
The Snitch broke in two, and something black fell out, bouncing and rolling into the darkness.I scrambled to catch it on the edge of the boulder, backed up until my back was against the cliff, and only then looked at the things in my hand by the light of the wand.It was a black stone with a split in it, and I looked it over a few times and recognized it as the gem that had once been set in the Slytherin ring.
Like pouring a bucket of water on the embers, the excitement dissipated and I just got another Dumbledore conundrum, another puzzle.Fuck it, he probably thinks it's hilarious to be dead and play me around, and I'm going to throw the damn thing in the ocean with all the goddamn things—
"Harry."
I froze, staring at my hands, not daring to raise my head.Of course I recognize this voice, this is the person I think about the most tonight, but it's impossible... I must be crazy...
"Harry," said the voice again, lower this time.
I looked up, and Lily Potter was kneeling before me, those same green eyes, like mine, weeping and never getting enough of me.
"……Mother?"
Saying the word took what little strength I had left, and it nodded, so I stopped wondering if it was a phantom created by my broken mind.I looked at it, she was wearing the clothes she died in, her long dark red hair fell on her shoulders, her young and beautiful face was only a few years older than mine, I could just sit here and watch her till the end of time .I thought maybe I was really going to die, but as a final scene, it wasn't too bad, it was way better than I thought it would be.
"Someone is waiting for your reply." The phantom said, the voice was ethereal, and seemed to carry an echo, "He is very worried about you."
"I don't..." Care, I wanted to say that, but Phantom disapproved, so I reached out and groped on the rock, keeping my eyes on her.The glasses had quieted down by this point, and I had to glance at them to get the blood on them in the right place.
"Aberforth?" I whispered, looking at the phantom, which looked at me encouragingly, still weeping.
There was silence for a moment, then Aberforth's voice reminded me that I was not in a dream. "What's wrong, Potter? You look as bad as hell."
"It's all right." I looked at Phantom and said, "It's all right now, I'm fine."
"Where are you?"
"I am fine."
"Yeah, I'm still a fucking blond hottie," Aberforth said in a nasty voice. "What the hell have you been staring at since?"
"I..." I subconsciously looked into the mirror, and Aberforth's piercing blue eyes peeked out, startling me, "How could you...?"
"I bought it from Mundungus about a year ago, one of Sirius' relics." Aberforth said, "I see that this mirror should be a pair, and I am a little curious about who has the other half. Summer vacation I saw you from inside. You left too hastily last time and didn’t have time to give it to you. "
I don't want to explain it, "Is Ron and Hermione still with you?"
"They've been away for two weeks."
"Then Kingsley...?"
"I can't die. I've got Madam Pomfrey. He's probably at Muriel's talking about those indecent dresses now, hapless fellow."
"Ron and Hermione went with him?"
"No, I guess they're waiting for someone. They stayed here for another four days after Kingsley was moved, and had to leave during a routine Death Eater search. You have the Invisibility Cloak and Polyjuice Potion. "Aberforth was clearly trying to arouse my guilt, and perhaps succeeded a little. "Should I contact them?"
"No." I replied quickly, "No, I left for...a reason."
"Of course, you have learned this too." Aberforth snorted, but his eyes revealed that he was not as disdainful as his voice. "If you need anything, Potter, you can come to me."
"No, I'm very..."
"Do yourself a favor and return the innocent word 'good' to its original meaning," said Aberforth bitterly. "I mean it, tell me what you need and I'll deliver it to you No one will find or follow you, or ask you what you want them for. As long as I can get it."
"I... thank you," I said, swallowing a sudden choke, and Aberforth tapped the frame twice impatiently.I wanted to say I didn't need it, but the bone-chilling cold and pain reminded me that it wasn't true. A long white hand left an illusory warmth on my shoulder, and I thought I needed help. "I need clothes, food, and medicine."
"Okay," said Aberforth dryly, "what kind of injury?"
"Normal wounds, non-magical," I said. "I'd probably need other kinds, if I could."
Aberforth snorted again, presumably in agreement.
"Then... that's it, I'll contact you later." I said, stuffing the fragment of the mirror into my pocket.
It's kind of rude, but I've been looking at that mirror for a while, and if I do come back to reality, the phantom will definitely disappear.Thankfully it didn't, the hand was still steadily radiating warmth on my shoulder.I put a hand on it, and my hand pressed through it and pressed the charred cloth, and the burns under it stinged, and the cold cloth and skin did not catch a little warmth.I withdrew my hand as if I had been scalded, and it also retracted its hand, which was placed by its side with such a sad smile.
"Why did you..." Resurrected?came back?I opened my mouth and started again, "Are you a ghost?"
Phantom shook his head and pointed to the black stone in my hand.
"It brought you back?" I asked.
"It's you," said the Phantom. "I miss you, Harry."
The true feelings in the words pierced my throat like a sharp arrow, "Me too, you don't know how... oh my god..."
Blood roars in my ears, I know what it is but I won't allow myself to look away.Lily's mouth was moving, I couldn't hear her voice, I looked at her and gripped the stone until she had both hands on my shoulders.I closed my eyes, counted the beats and slowed my breathing, and felt the salty sea breeze return to my lungs again, and the temperature never disappeared.
"You won't... you won't leave, will you?" I asked, "as long as I hold this rock?"
"As long as you miss me. I'll never leave," Lily said softly.
lie.I want to say, you never showed up, you are not by my side. But meeting her eyes, I can only say one word in the end. "Very good."
"You're cold, Harry," said Lily. "You've got to keep yourself warm."
"Well, yes..." My body suddenly trembled for a while as if remembering it, and I was suddenly a little ashamed, "But I haven't learned how to, uh..."
"It's okay, I'll teach you."
I've probably never learned a spell so quickly, a childhood dream came true after successfully surrounding myself with a harmless hoop of fire and getting a "Wonderful, Harry, you did it" by a third.I looked up excitedly, Lily was smiling proudly, and I saw that she hadn't stopped crying. But I guess I probably haven't either.
"Next, treat your wound with fresh water."
"That's going to hurt," I mutter, picking up the bottle dawdly.
"Be... be a brave child." Lily said, she choked up a bit, and I poured Bai Xian on the hole left by the locket on my chest purely to avoid thinking about the meaning. It was really painful. I heard the hissing and growing of flesh, and I grabbed the ground tightly. Then the wound stopped bleeding and was covered with a new layer of skin, as if it had been growing for a while.I let out a breath and pulled my clothes back together.
It took nearly a third of the contents of the bottle to heal the wounds all over my body, and the burns on my back were a bit of a hassle, but with the hovering spell and Lily's guidance, I managed it.After the wound was treated, I repaired the torn clothes as much as possible and removed the blood on them.It was very warm inside the fire circle, even though I was leaning against the solid rock wall, the exhaustion from the whole night still surged up uncontrollably.
"Sleep, Harry." Lily said softly, and I couldn't keep my eyes open.
"Someone will see a fire below the cliff," I whispered.
"I'll wake you up if someone comes." Lily put her hand on my cheek, "Sleep, I'll watch over you."
I tried to struggle a little longer, but Lily began humming softly, melodiously, sadly and lovingly, and my consciousness slid uncontrollably into the silent darkness.Half-dream and half-awake, I felt a careful touch, like a puff of smoke on my cheeks, forehead and the back of my hands.
