Chapter 33 Chess Game
Hotch took Elle and Morgan to the raided laboratory first, and Gideon took the rest of them into the gate of Guantanamo Prison. Under the leadership of the head of the CIA, they met JindAllah, who had been imprisoned for two months.
"There is a clock in the interrogation room." Jessie stood outside the monitoring room and said to herself.
Gideon was about to go in to negotiate, but stopped after hearing this, "Will it affect the interrogation?"
"If it's a terrorist event and there's a clock in the house, he'll know the time has changed." Jessie looked at Gideon. "We've got less than 48 hours, we can't let him take the initiative, and we're in a passive situation."
Gideon nodded, looking at the muttering man in the interrogation room, "I know how to deal with him, you stay here and watch his body language at any time."
The three watched Gideon go in, listening to the voices from the interrogation room.
"When Gideon went in, he stopped chanting," Emily said. "He was also watching Gideon."
Reid picked up a pencil, wrote and drew on the paper, and marked Jind Allah's different body movements.
Jessie took out her phone that rang a few times, and just after she pressed it, she heard Elle's voice: "I'll read you the names of some chemical substances, please pay attention..."
"They are cultivating anthrax spores, and these chemicals are used to make anthrax easier to spread. Bacillus anthracis is easy to "weaponize", which means that it can be produced in a stable state and easy to spread widely." Jessie heard several familiar "If these terrorists intend to create panic, anthrax is perfect. Its initial symptoms are usually mild, causing fever, fatigue and muscle aches, similar to flu or pneumonia. But infection Anthrax patients will suddenly develop symptoms such as difficulty breathing, blue lips, and chest fluid a few days later. When the disease develops to this point, death is usually difficult to avoid."
"I understand." Elle nodded, "Morgan said that Gracia and JJ have investigated another den of terrorists, and we will go there later. How is your place?"
"Gideon went in to negotiate." Jessie watched the situation inside through the glass. "You just said that you are going to the second base soon?"
"Yeah..." Elle tossed her hair, "it's right there at... Annandale."
Jessie thought something was wrong, "Don't go in rashly when you arrive. Can you call us first?"
"You suspect it's a trap?" Elle reacted immediately.
"It's hard to say..." Jessie frowned, "I think the possibility is very high."
"I understand." Elle nodded, "I'll let you guys know when we get there, and you'll pass the news on to Jind Allah to see his reaction."
"Yes." Jessie smiled, "Be careful."
At this time, Emily was listening attentively to the conversation between Gideon and Jind Allah.
"So, what's Gideon's name?" Jind Allah asked Gideon back.
"The name of America."
"I almost forgot." JindAllah sneered, "Your rules, the country is above all else. Then there is the warrior (Gideon means 'warrior' in Greek.)
"He is from Cairo." Emily listened carefully to JindAllah's pronunciation, "It may also be from Yemen... No, he is from Egypt." She picked up the intercom and said to Gideon, "Sir, he is from Egypt, He habitually makes the "G" sound like a "J" in his pronunciation."
Gideon heard the news from Emily through the headset and asked Jind Allah, "What about you? As an Egyptian, a standard Muslim..."
A rare smile appeared on Jind Allah's unsmiling face, "In the short 2 minutes since you came in, you learned more than the CIA gang learned in two months."
Reid looked at Emily approvingly, "That's great!"
Emily was still thinking about it, and always felt that something was wrong... Turning her head to look at Jessie, "From a medical point of view, are these terrorists capable of producing anthrax bacteria by themselves?"
"It depends on their technical level, but I think..." Jessie thought for a while, "they are more likely to directly steal the finished or semi-finished products from the laboratory."
"In other words, we can check to see if there are reports of stolen anthrax germs..." Emily took out her mobile phone and called JJ, "Little J, it's me..."
Reid, who was doing behavior analysis, heard Emily calling JJ affectionately, the pen in his hand paused for a moment, and resumed his profiling again.
In less than 5 minutes of confrontation, Gideon seemed to have noticed the cunning of the old fox in front of him. Then he stood up and left the interrogation room, and walked towards the three people outside the door, "Is there any other news?"
"Elle said they were rushing to the terrorist's second den." Jessie shook the phone in her hand, "But I think it's a fraud, their base won't be so easily obtained from a few stolen recordings." been speculated."
"Tell Elle not to act rashly when you arrive, and call us first." Gideon frowned as he looked at the man who had fallen silent again in the interrogation room.
"I have already notified."
"Very good." Gideon nodded, "He deliberately registered a wireless phone to lead us here, and learn about the situation outside through our reactions."
"Sir." Emily hung up the phone and looked at Gideon, "I suspect members of the organization may have stolen anthrax bacteria from other laboratories, and I'm asking Gracia to investigate..." As soon as the words fell, Morgan called Reid
Reid pressed speakerphone, and Hotch's voice came out, "We're in Annandale. What's next?"
"Stay away, don't act rashly." Gideon put down these words and hurried into the interrogation room.
"I have to tell you something." Gideon walked into the interrogation room, looking at Jind Allah who was sitting on the chair, "Our group of members just raided an Omega gang base, and our people are in the aforementioned Annandale."
Gideon had expected Jind Allah to show disbelief, at least a hint of surprise.Unexpectedly, after listening to his own words, his originally clenched fists loosened and lay flat on his knees. ,
"Something's wrong." Reid lifted his head from the pen and paper, "After hearing Gideon's words, he relaxed, as if he had completed some task..." Jessie hurriedly grabbed Reid's phone: "Hotch, don't go in, the farther you get away The better."
"Get." Hotch was leading the others to retreat in an orderly manner, when he heard a loud noise, and the house in front of him was instantly wiped out.
"Hotch?" Reid called tentatively through the microphone.
"Gracia..." JJ, who stayed at the headquarters, saw the news of the explosion on the CCTV. "Is that the Annandale that Hotch and the others went to?"
The hands that kept typing on the keyboard stopped suddenly, Gracia looked up and saw the flames on the TV screen soaring into the sky, and her whole heart was raised. The left hand was typing rapidly on the keyboard, "Moragan, please, you must answer the phone, answer the phone..."
"We're all fine," Hotch replied amidst the deafening roar of the explosion. "Evacuation was just in time."
Morgan rummaged through a pile of smoke and found a cell phone that kept ringing, "What's the matter? babygirl."
Hearing Morgan's witty tone, Gracia burst into tears, "We saw the explosion on TV and worried about you..."
"Don't cry." Morgan said lightly, "You won't get rid of me so easily."
Elle was about to tease Morgan, but suddenly she also received a call from the little doctor.
"Are you OK?"
"It's okay." Elle let out a long sigh of relief, "There are no gang members here, and there are no laboratories or radioactive devices. It really is a trap."
"As long as you're safe." Jessie felt relieved.
"I seem to understand why you are worried about me going out to work..."
"Huh?" Jessie was puzzled.
"The field work is really dangerous. Every time I escape from death, I feel that I love you." Elle looked at the fire not far away, feeling a little sad.
"I will always be with you." Jessie hooked her lips, "I never thought that you would learn to be romantic in the midst of the danger in the field."
Elle hung up the phone with a smile, looking at Hotch and Morgan who also just ended the call.
"It feels good to be taken care of by my own people." Hotch looked at the sky that was getting redder under the dotted firelight. Although he was still hindered by this terrorist activity, the care of the people in Guantanamo could not help adding to the cruelty. A warmth.
"I found it!" Gracia dialed Reid's phone, and the joyful cheers made JJ stand behind her and stare at the computer. "According to the information provided by Reid about Jind Allah himself, there was a bombing in the Cairo bazaar 7 years ago. Your despicable prisoner was named Jamal Abaza. His son, Amir Abaza, died in the bombing."
"What else?" Reid stared at the man who had recovered his silence, and picked up the walkie-talkie, "Gideon, he is the Jamal Abaza that the CIA has been looking for."
"There are others I can't find." Gracia said, "I can't find news about the theft of anthrax bacteria abroad. If the CIA can share information, I think I should be able to."
"I understand." Gideon walked out after listening to Reid's narration, "I will negotiate with the person in charge here, and in addition, inform Gracia to find a news report on the bombing, without any keywords, as long as the host says Words like 'heavy casualties' and 'bad impact' will do."
"What is he going to do?" Emily didn't understand.
Jessie looked at Jamal Abaza who began to pray devoutly again, "Prepare to scam him."
Gideon walked into the interrogation room quickly, with a painful expression on his face, "How could you let so many people fall into fear and pain? At sunset? The door of the interrogation room was ajar, and the host's eager and panic voice could be heard faintly.
"This is war." The person in front of me argued, "If there is a war, there will be casualties. Just like the public doubts about aviation after the 911/[-] incident, will the public doubt the same when there is a store opening ceremony next time?" ? Maybe the next time the school starts!"
"Gracia." Gideon turned away, "You can turn off the video now."
In an instant, the lights were turned on, and only Jamal Abaza was left muttering, "You lied to me...the time is not up yet..."
Reid poked his head in from the door, "Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Jamal Abaza, you can continue to pray." After saying that, he ignored the man's desperate screams and closed the door.
"'National America's Largest Mall' opened today, the third largest in the country." JJ said to the Hotch group who returned to the headquarters, "It's in Marklin, Virginia, you have to be careful, terrorists are in Germany A whole 20 grams of anthrax virus was stolen from a medical laboratory."
"20 grams?" Elle shook her head, "Enough to kill 5000 million people."
Hotch's expression froze for a moment, and he sighed, "Let's go."
Hotch drove the car very fast, scowling all the way.
"What's wrong?" Morgan looked at Hotch.
"I made an appointment with Haley to take Jack to that mall to take a photo tonight." Hotch still showed a trace of panic and nervousness on his pretendingly calm face.
"Why didn't you tell them?" Morgan asked.
"It's against the rules..." Hotch hung his head, struggling.
"They won't go." Elle, who was sitting in the back row, said suddenly, "It's a family activity like taking pictures, and no one is perfect without it."
Hotch didn't speak anymore, and stepped on the gas pedal to the bottom.
"Tonight at the newly opened 'Great Store of America', the police stopped a public robbery. Without this quick attack, I don't know what kind of tragedy this grand opening would have become..."
"Blazing robbery?" As soon as Jessie entered the headquarters, she saw the news broadcast on the screen.
"To prevent public panic, Morgan and I shot one person at a time on the roof of the shopping mall, perfectly preventing their crimes." Elle walked over and grabbed Jessie by the corner of her clothes, "Wait for you for a long time, go home."
Jessie nodded with a smile, and stared at the office with the lights still on from the corner of her eye.Intentionally or unintentionally, the voice raised a little, "Gideon took Reid and Emily to play chess together, and I came back by myself first."
"Playing chess?" Elle put her arms around the little doctor's arm, "Did Reid win?"
"I was still checkmate within three steps..."
JJ listened in the office, went to play chess with Gideon? It seemed that I couldn't wait for Emily in the office tonight.
