Chapter 52 Escape from the Dead

Snape apparated outside St. Mungo's with Esther. "Can you go in by yourself?"

Esther nodded, shook, and threw up.

Snape clicked his spell to clean the traces from the ground, and led her into St. Mungo's. "Where do you live?" he asked.

Esther took out the key and handed it to Snape, and Snape stumbled up the stairs.

Once inside, Snape checked Esther's defenses and was satisfied.

"I had a chance to visit Nott's house today. But you are a drunk bat when you turn into a bat like this, and you can't do anything." Snape curled his lips and handed her a glass of water, "You have to keep Sober, Esther, don't allow yourself the chance to indulge."

"Professor, do you think you will die? How will the Dark Lord kill you?" Esther took a sip, put it on the cabinet next to the door, and leaned against the door and asked in a murmur.

Snape didn't speak for a moment, just looked at her quietly. After a while, he said calmly, "It's possible to die anyway, and you'll know when the time comes. There's no need to worry about it in advance."

"Aren't you scared?" Esther looked at him with wide eyes, like a frightened fawn.

"It's useless to be afraid, it will only make you die faster." Snape's dark pupils remained calm.

"I saw Mr. Weasley's injury. Now I close my eyes and see big patches of red, and then I see myself lying there, unable to breathe... I was very nervous last night when I was on duty outside the Department of Mysteries... ..." Esther's voice became softer as she spoke.

"It's normal, nothing to be ashamed of." Snape said what Esther was thinking.

"I'm a coward," Esther murmured.

"It's not a coward to be afraid of death. It's a normal human reaction. You're braver than most people if you know you're going to die and you keep going." Snape showed much more patience than usual, "Wilker Si just hid, didn't he?"

"You know?" Esther asked.

"I helped them leave. The Dark Lord really hoped that St. Mungory would have his people to help him deal with some troubles. But Wilkes' mother kept off Lucius again and again, which made the Dark Lord very dissatisfied. The Dark Lord planned to use Her mother threatened him. I sent an alert to Wilkes. He wanted to leave England, and I told him to find a way to take Miss Brown with him, so you can be safer."

"Thank you—" Esther said softly.

"Okay, stop thinking about it. Get a good night's sleep and it'll be over. Don't drink any more next time." Snape walked in front of Esther, ready to leave through the door behind her.

"Professor, if one day I die—" Esther bit her lip, as if making up her mind, "I—I want to say—"

Esther looked up and saw those dark eyes, which seemed to have a huge attraction for her.Her brain stopped thinking, and her instinct drove her closer to a glimmer of light in the blackness. When she regained consciousness, her lips were pressing Snape's warm but tightly closed thin lips.

There was a complicated look in Snape's eyes.He neither refused nor accepted. He just felt Este's movements stiffly.

Esther didn't know what he should do next, and he didn't know if he had expressed his mind clearly. She tried to smooth the line of Snape's lips with her soft lips, but the latter still didn't respond.Esther backed away in frustration, stepped aside, and let the door open.

"Esther, you need to know—" Snape's voice was dry and distorted, "I'm your—professor."

"Once," Esther said listlessly.

"I'm seventeen years older than you," Snape said irritably.

"You're good at math." Esther shrugged.

"I'm a Death Eater!" Snape yelled.

"I will try my best to remember." Esther responded flatly.

Snape stared into Esther's eyes, looking for the slightest hint of her loathing him.The black eyes are no longer empty, painful, hesitant, longing, struggling... Esther didn't know that a person could have so many emotions at the same time.

Esther moved closer to Snape's lips and pecked lightly.Snape finally gave up insisting, pulled Esther over, and kissed her fiercely.Esther felt her lips hurt, and subconsciously wanted to escape, but Snape held him with one hand from behind his head and couldn't break free.Esther whimpered in pain.Snape froze for a moment at the sound, then slowed down and became gentle. He licked Esther's swollen lips, easing her pain. Then drive straight in and explore the soft inner walls inside.

Esther responded to Snape jerky, feeling the blood rushing in his brain. She could no longer feel the pain, and the lack of oxygen made her dizzy and weak. She leaned feebly against Snape's hot body, her arms wrapped around his waist unconsciously.

Just when Esther thought she was going to pass out without breathing, Snape finally let go of her lips. She gasped for breath, and the cold air squeezed into her chest, bringing a chill.Esther involuntarily pressed her body against Snape, letting his body heat penetrate her robes to warm herself.

"I hope you won't regret it, Miss Collins," Snape hissed into Esther's ear.

"Never, Professor." Esther replied softly.

"Don't call me a professor, it makes me feel like I'm committing a crime." Snape pushed Ace away and frowned.

"Then please don't call me by my last name, Severus." Esther grabbed his hand, kissed the thin calluses on his fingers lightly, and rubbed his face against it.

Snape's eyes were tinged with desire. He stroked Esther's cheek for a while, then withdrew his hand to suppress his emotions. "I have to go, you go to bed early."

Esther was surprised by his sudden stop, "Don't continue? Although it's a bit late, I thought you would like to get a special Christmas present today?"

"No, you can't. I accept your wishes, but I can't go on. The Dark Lord is still here, and it's too dangerous to be with me. And maybe someday I'll—"

"You're kidding me!" Esther growled angrily.

"I'm doing it for your own good," Snape said calmly.

"I can be responsible for myself, and I don't need you to do my best!" Esther yelled at Snape.

Snape looked at Esther without saying a word, waiting for her to calm down on her own.

"Give me hope and make me despair. Do you know how cruel it is? Men are all the same." Esther said in a crying voice.

"If we had won, if we hadn't died, if you'd still be with me then—" Snape said slowly.

"If I die tomorrow, I hope you won't regret and blame yourself!" Esther opened the door, pushed Snape out, and closed the door heavily behind him.

As soon as Esther entered the office the next day, he saw Bivis was busy sorting out the medical records.Seeing Esther, he had an apologetic smile on his face, "Good morning, Esther. I'm so sorry about what happened yesterday, are you feeling better now?"

"Well, it's much better. You don't need to apologize, your method is still very effective, and I feel much more energetic today." Esther politely smiled back at Bivis.

After finishing the day's work, Esther went to Mrs. Straw's ward after dinner to check on Bode's condition.Bode's condition has improved and he is staring at his Christmas present in a daze.

"What kind of plant is this? Do you know it, Mr. Bird?" Esther spoke to him.Bode grunted indistinctly.

"Is there any plant more attractive than my signature?" Lockhart muttered dissatisfiedly behind Esther.

"It's still very interesting, you can see its leaves are moving." Esther comforted Lockhart, "Mr. Bird, do you mind if we take a look?"

"I don't want to read it. Come here quickly after you finish reading. I still have to sign your autograph." Lockhart turned and returned to his hospital bed.

Esther continued to chat nonsense with Bode, trying to stimulate his brain to help him recover.Seeing him staring at the potted plant, Esther reached out to hand it to Bode.Unexpectedly, Esther's hand accidentally touched the trembling leaf, and the vines inside suddenly stretched out and attacked Esther. In the blink of an eye, Esther was already wrapped around his neck by vines, and then his two hands that were desperately grabbing the vines were also tied up.Oops, it's the devil's net, Esther had a thought. She struggled with difficulty and fell to the ground, hearing the sound of flower pots breaking and a few barking sounds. Her face was flushed with suffocation, and she couldn't take in any air through her open mouth. She knew she would soon lose consciousness from suffocation. She must save herself before that, or she will die.

Esther struggled to reach for the wand in her pocket, but it was no longer there, probably dropped when she fell.Esther tried to concentrate on casting the Summoning Charm on the wand, expecting it to jump into her hand. But the feeling of suffocation became more and more intense, and it was difficult for her to concentrate on using wandless magic. She desperately remembered what she said last night, maybe today is really her own death day.

Just when Esther was about to accept his fate, he suddenly felt something was stuffed in his hand. She found it to be her wand. She didn't have time to think about swiping her wand quickly, and a large white light spewed out from the tip of the wand immediately. When the devil's net encountered the light, it immediately retracted.Esther was lying on the ground gasping for breath, the strangled tears flowed down her eyelids into her hair, and the purple marks on her neck made her look embarrassed.

"Are you all right? I saw what you were looking for, so I gave you the stick you dropped. What was that just now? Where did it go?" Lockhart babbled.

Esther didn't expect that it was Lockhart who saved his life. She glanced at him gratefully, and said thank you hoarsely.Esther sat up and put away the devil's net, wondering if Mrs. Straw put it here on purpose to assassinate Mr. Bird.

Esther checked all of Mr. Bird's belongings again and left the ward without finding any dangerous items. She Apparated to Grimmauld Place right after she came out of St. Mungo's.She needs to report what happened to the Order of the Phoenix as soon as possible. As soon as he entered the door, he heard Sirius growl from the kitchen, "Harry—get out of the way—"

Esther thought that there was some old enchanted object in the old house attacking Harry. She quickly drew her wand and rushed into the kitchen. But she was taken aback by the scene in front of her. Snape and Sirius pointed at each other with their wands raised, and Harry stood in the middle with his body in front of them.No silverware like spiders, no ghouls or boggarts, just two angry men in a confrontation.

"Disturbing you?" Esther asked, putting down her wand.

"Esther stop them for me," Harry begged for help.

"Don't worry, I'm looking forward to the duel between the two of them." Esther said with great interest with an expression of watching the excitement. "There are two vacant beds in Bivis' ward today, two next to each other."

Both Snape and Sirius lowered their wands, but still looked at each other with the utmost contempt.

"No more?" Esther said disappointedly, "Well, if you don't plan to continue, can I have a chat with Sirius?"

Hearing Esther's words, Snape turned his head and looked at her suspiciously.Immediately afterwards, his eyes fell on the bruises around Esther's neck.He frowned and strode up to Esther, held Esther's chin with his hands, and carefully looked at the circle of strangle marks. "How did you do it?" He asked eagerly.

Esther turned her head away from Snape's hand.A blush blushed on his face from embarrassment. "I was not careful just now," she said, "I just wanted to talk to Sirius about this, and you want to hear it too?"

Snape opened his mouth to say something, but no sound came out.You could tell he had used a great deal of willpower to refrain from showing more concern.

Finally Snape regained his indifferent expression. He turned to Harry and said, "Six o'clock on Monday night, don't be late, Potter." Then he glanced at Esther's neck and strode out of the kitchen.

"What did Professor Snape want from you?" Esther turned to Harry after watching Snape leave.

"He's going to teach me Occlumency," said Harry distressedly.

"That's pretty good, he's a master, and I learned from him." Esther said lightly, "It's just that the process is painful, um, very painful."

"Thank you for your comfort, I don't want to learn now." Harry was a little frustrated.

"Then why did you learn?" Esther felt strange.

Harry said, looking reluctant, "I saw in my dream that Mr. Weasley was attacked. That day, I, I was the snake that attacked him..."

"Did you see that?" Esther narrowed his eyes and looked at him.

Harry nodded unnaturally, and touched the scar unconsciously, "I don't know what's going on, I also wanted to bite him when Professor Dumbledore and I looked at each other—"

"Harry, as I said, it's just your illusion, you're just too tired." Sirius interrupted their conversation, "Go back to the room first, I'll talk to Esther, okay?"

Harry looked at Sirius, then at Esther, nodded and left the kitchen.

"What the hell is going on?" Esther asked Sirius.

"Harry saw Mr Weasley's injury through Voldemort's snake eyes. It seems Dumbledore knew it was going to happen and asked Snape to teach him Occlumency. But why didn't he teach it himself?" ? Snape, hum!" said Sirius.

"Harry and Voldemort are united with his snake?" Esther struggled to understand Sirius' words. "He was possessed?"

"It wasn't possessing, Harry was at Hogwarts at the time. I don't know what happened, it seems like it just entered his mind." Sirius said, "Don't talk about it, what do you want from me?"

"It's Bod's situation, and Professor Dumbledore needs to be told." Esther told Sirius exactly what happened just now.

"I'll pass it on to him as soon as possible. Be careful, they might do it again," said Sirius.

She wanted to chat with Harry again, but the twin Weasleys took her to talk about their latest products and sales for a long time, reassuring their investors.Esther finally found an excuse to get away from the two humanoid financial statements.

Back at St. Mungo's, Esther kept thinking about Harry and stayed up late. The next morning she vaguely heard a knocking sound.Esther rubbed her eyes and sat up from the bed, only to find a brown owl standing outside the window, which looked like Hogwarts' public owl.

She opened the window to let the owl in, and removed the wrapping from its talons. The owl shook its feathers solemnly, and flew out of the window again.Esther opened the package, a bottle of ointment and a brief note. The sharp dark green handwriting almost tore through the parchment, and it said: Apply once in the morning and at night.

Esther rubbed the medicine bottle and smiled.Feel the whole person lighten up.

In the afternoon, Esther took some biscuits and went to Mrs. Straw for afternoon tea.During the conversation, Esther judged that she was not a Death Eater, but was cast with a confusion spell, and firmly believed that it was a crab claw.Esther didn't say anything. This method can only be used once. If they want to harm Mr. Bird again, they have to cast the spell on Mrs. Straw again. She just needs to keep an eye on everyone who visits that ward.

Early the next morning, she returned to the office after secretly checking Bode's belongings.Beavis was frowning at the Daily Prophet.Usually Sunshine likes to laugh, he rarely has such a serious expression.

"What's wrong, sir?" Esther asked casually.

"The "Daily Prophet" said that there was a mass escape in Azkaban last night, and ten Death Eaters escaped. The Ministry of Magic said that someone was deliberately creating panic. It is very likely that Black's crazy anti-social behavior. He and his Both godsons have serious mental problems. He is No.1 who escaped from Azkaban, and he has the conditions to help others escape from prison. And among the fugitives is his cousin Bellatrix Lestrange. Magic The Ministry of Magic has launched a hunt for him and other people who escaped from prison. I remember that the Ministry of Magic just rehabilitated him the year before last, and now it is said that he organized Death Eaters to escape from prison. I really don't know what the Ministry of Magic is doing." Bivis slipped the newspaper to Ai ster.

Esther read the news carefully, memorizing the pictures of the Death Eaters. The only woman Bellatrix Lestrange and Kreacher kept in the photo had changed a lot, except for the eyes and the proud smile.I don't know if Sirius is in the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix now, and whether it is safe.

After work in the evening, Esther went straight to Grimmauld Place.A lot of people came to the headquarters, and they were discussing enthusiastically around Sirius.

"...There is no way to clarify it now, and he will be controlled as soon as he shows up." Kingsley said in a thick voice.

"Then I can't hide in this room all the time!" growled Sirius.

"Once the Ministry of Magic admits that the mysterious man has returned, you will be cleared of all suspicion." Mr. Weasley said kindly.

"Then if he keeps hiding his head and showing his tail like this, I have to keep hiding?" Sirius said.

"This is also Dumbledore's opinion, Padfoot, you can't be impulsive now. We have already lost Sturgis, and we can't lose another one." Lupine patted Sirius on the shoulder.

"But what can I do here? How is it different from being imprisoned in Azkaban!" Sirius clenched his fists.

"If you go to the Ministry of Magic to confront it, you probably won't be able to wait to go to Azkaban. I believe Fudge will give you a dementor kiss the moment you step into the Ministry of Magic." Moody snorted coldly.

Sirius' shoulders shook slightly, and he buried his head in his palms.

Esther saw that there were enough people around Sirius, so he didn't stay in the restaurant any longer. She went upstairs and turned around, and saw Kreacher in Regulus' empty room.

Kreacher looked at the door in disgust, and when he found that it was Esther, he immediately narrowed his eyes, put on a respectful look, and bowed.

"Dear Miss Collins, do you have anything to do with Kreacher?"

"Sit down and talk, I want to talk to you." Esther walked to Kreacher and sat on the ground.

Kreacher hesitated for a moment, then sat down too.

"Bellatrix Lestrange escaped from Azkaban, I think you already know." Esther stared carefully at Kreacher's expression, not missing the cunning and slyness in his eyes. eager.

"Yes, miss, Kreacher heard about it." Kreacher resumed his respectful demeanor.

"But you should know that she is different from Master Regulus. She is a loyal supporter of Voldemort. And Master Regulus was killed by Voldemort." Esther deliberately pronounced Regulus's name heavily .

Kreacher really showed a painful expression.

"I know you like Miss Bella, but if you are really loyal to Master Regulus, you must know that she is your enemy. And Sirius is Master Regulus' ally." Este let himself The voice seemed approachable.

Kreacher looked at Esther with wide gray eyes and seemed to be struggling to understand Esther's words.

"Master Regulus would not like to see someone approaching Miss Bella, because they are enemies." Esther said bluntly.

Kreacher finally shook his big bat-like ears with white fur, and nodded slowly.

"If you don't want to see those people downstairs, you can go here. Or you can go to Hogwarts, where there are house elves, and you are not alone." Esther finally suggested.

"Kreacher belongs to the Black family, Kreacher is not going anywhere, just stay here." The elf said firmly.
