A meow and a dog

Chapter 66 Compromise & Rejection

1. "Bruce..."

The voice trembled.

"Bruce..."

Difficulty.

"Bruce..."

The most powerful man in the world knelt beside the white coffin, staring in despair and pain at his friend's pale, sleeping face.

"Bruce..."

Superman supported his body slowly, with his bloodshot eyes wide open, he approached the smiling person in the coffin tremblingly.

"Bruce..."

Pious and praying whispers, slowly approaching the body.

"Bruce..."

The freezing temperature and slightly raised lips.

Maybe, Superman thought, he had a taste of blood.

He finally burst into tears.

2. "Clark."

"What?" Clark turned around blankly, and a fleeting warm weight met his mouth.

"Remember to bring coffee back."

Clark couldn't help showing his teeth exaggeratedly, but saw the man in the nightgown give him a haughty white eye: "Oh, come on, you look like a polar bear that caught fish."

3. "What do you think?"

"What do you think?"

The hero in the black bat suit pondered for a moment, and finally inserted red candles in the cake.

There are also a few black ones scattered around.

"Birthday kiss, Bruce?"

"Oh, shit."

4. "Um, what should I say, Bruce?"

"It can't be 'ok', it can't be 'oh you're here', it can't be 'hey you're in the shower'."

"So—can I come in?"

The man with a few drops of water rolling off his face squinted at the smirking Superman, and after humming a resolute "um" in his nasal cavity, he closed the door neatly.

——The door panel was punched with a big hole by the tip of the nose of someone outside the door.

"That kiss—oh, you can't put it on the nose!"

Water spewed out of the hole in the door like flying.

Pouring Superman all over.

5. "Good night kiss, Bruce."

"I thought you might need a bedtime story for Robin?"

The man in red pajamas shrugged indifferently: "I think it's okay."

The other man gritted his teeth hard, and pressed a simple kiss on the other's forehead: "Forget it."

The other laughed like a successful fox.

6. A green halo shrouded the metropolis, and scattered green stars danced in the air, reflecting Superman's stiff body.

His lover held him in his arms, trying to pass the only harmless air with his mouth like a human.

Both of them could taste the fishy smell on each other's lips, it was like a worm, piercing each other's heart tenderly.

7. Everyone can learn the meaning of the beautiful word "kiss" in his life.

Heroes are no exception.

When Superman put his lips to the forehead of a tear-stained little girl in Metropolis, the Flash in Central City also tried to use this gesture to stop his girlfriend from complaining about his speed.

When Wonder Woman kisses the President on the cheek as a diplomatic ambassador, Green Lantern sends that warmth to a photo of his father in his hometown.

When Martian Manhunter represented the Justice League and faced the kisses and cheers of a group of children at a loss, Hawkgirl kissed the sky and white clouds on a distant planet.

Oliver Queen in Star City kisses the cold and beautiful neck of a strange female companion, and Green Arrow kisses his bow and arrow.

When the waves of the sea embraced the reef again and again, Aquaman kissed the gentle and naughty waves.

As for Gotham in the farther distance, under the blowing of the evening wind, the Dark Knight once kissed the few red roses that were entangled like blood scattered in Crime Alley devoutly and passionately.

8 "What do you think?"

What do you think about this kiss?

Thousands of answers flashed through Batman's mind, but looking into Superman's eyes, he finally chose the coldest and most realistic one:

"It shouldn't be." Sin.

He swallowed the last two words.

Because it makes us forget about ourselves.
