Chapter 5 Don't Hate You

Although the war was not long, everyone was exhausted.

No one had anything extra to talk about, everyone was busy arranging the wounded, and the school hospital was already full of injured people.

Mrs. Hodge's bright blue eyes were bloodshot. She and several professors helped Mrs. Pomfrey treat patients non-stop.

The hospital smelled like potions. Harry had never liked this place. It was always filled with despair, especially after the war started.

Every bed is full of people, their chests are heaving, but the mist in their eyes, whether it is fear or weakness, such fragile eyes are like sharp daggers to those who are standing. Ling Chi was in unbearable pain.

"The idlers wait and get out!" Madam Pomfrey held large and small potion bottles in her hand, and Harry recognized at a glance that some of them were brought by Malfoy last night. "Get out of the way kids! Nothing to see!"

Madam Pomfrey pushed Harry and the others away with one hand. Her hair seemed to have not been combed for a long time, and the brown hair was tangled like broken spider webs.

She looked back at them with blinking red eyes, and said in a heart-wrenching, crying voice

"War is a horrible thing, I don't know why...why this happened...how poor the children are."

"We'll get through it." Hermione turned back and gave her a hug. "Madame Pomfrey, you have done a good job, we are very grateful to you."

"Thank you, you are a kind girl." Pomfrey gently pushed her away, "I will continue, even if it will cause me pain." After speaking, he rushed to the next patient without looking back.

"..." Ron put his arms around the pale Hermione and looked at Harry, "Let's get out of here."

Harry nodded, fisting and releasing his hands at his sides.

When they returned to their room, exhaustion flooded through their bodies.Ron collapsed on the bed in one fell swoop.

"This room is small, but it's really nice." Ron stared blankly at the dark red lattice pattern ceiling "because it's simple, and it doesn't attract other people's attention. What a luxury of privacy. I can come here and sleep on the floor ?"

"Of course, Hermione can come too." Harry sat on the window sill again. This window sill was so big that it could accommodate one person to sleep. "We take care of each other."

Hermione smiled and nodded, "I should go to sleep."

"Don't you want something to eat?" Harry pointed to the fresh snacks on the small coffee table, "Or drink some milk?"

"I'm so tired, Harry." Hermione crawled under the blanket, revealing only her furry head.

"Hermione, sleep on the bed." Ron said softly, he got up, stretched out his long arms and picked her up.Hermione sank her head into his chest.

"Hope, this is the only time today, if there is another attack..." Hermione muttered while she was half asleep.

Harry felt a little helpless watching his old friends swagger to sleep in his bed. What about laying the floor?

He looked out the window, it was already dusk. The gray sky is mixed with a little yellow, and the sun has sunk below the horizon.

The war lasted only a few days, and it seemed like years. The oak trees surrounding the castle were languishing, and even the Whomping Willow had nearly doubled in size. There are no white swans with bright red beaks in the black lake.

The only thing that hasn't changed is the Forbidden Forest, which is still so mysterious. Occasionally, Ye Ji can be seen flying to the treetops and biting an innocent black bird that flies by.

Harry remembered what Luna had said to him, that only those who have seen death can see it.He thought Ye Ji was no longer alone, and almost everyone here could see it, witness its existence and agree with it.

The breeze brushed his eyes, and Harry felt a burst of weakness, and gradually closed his eyes, leaning against the window sill and falling into an unfathomable sleep.

Harry was lying comfortably in a piece of green grass. He squinted his eyes and enjoyed the rare dream. Suddenly he felt a little itchy on his cheek. He pushed it with his tongue. The itching disappeared, and immediately the other side began to itch. When he got up, he was still too lazy to raise his hand to rub it, so he pressed his tongue against his cheek again.Hope the naughty little bug leaves him, there are always a lot of things in the grass.

Then, he found out, it was the nasty goblin, the guy stretched out his claws and grabbed his nose! He couldn't breathe!Harry raised his hand to grab it, but it was in vain.

"Stop scratching!" said Harry.

The goblin got angry, suddenly became several times bigger, and rushed towards Harry, grabbing his face tightly and shaking him from side to side.

Harry muttered angrily in a daze and opened his eyes.Surprised to find that the goblin grew a head of pale golden hair and a human face.

"Potter! If you don't wake up, I'll cut your nose off."

The familiar lazy and long accent, and the real touch on the face.

Horse...Malfoy? !

Harry gasped.

Keep your eyes open and feel your surroundings.Familiar room, and window sill.It was now fully night, with the moon hanging high outside.

"You... when did you come?" Harry avoided his hand, feeling a pain in his cheek.

Draco leaned on the other side, a smirk on his delicate face. His robe was a bit dirty and his face was not very good, but he looked much better than yesterday.

"It's been a while." Draco's eyes were full of smiles, "I saw the whole process of the great savior licking his gums in his sleep."

Harry's expression suddenly became embarrassing, and he made a complicated expression in shame.

Draco couldn't help laughing, silver moonlight shone in his gray eyes, shining one after another... Strands of light golden hair swept across his fair forehead, softly and softly, the corners of his mouth The canine teeth revealed inadvertently carried a youthful innocence.

Plop, plop, heart beating.

Harry felt that he hadn't woken up yet, and that his soul and body hadn't fully joined together, otherwise...how could he see Draco's non-hostile, natural smile?

How long has it been since you saw such a smile?Harry felt a warm current wake up from his body, spread through his limbs, and finally return to his heart, merging into the blood, merging into every cell in his body.Like willow branches in the spring sunshine, and like the crisp wind chimes ringing in the greenhouse...

Harry couldn't help but smirk a bit.

"You're not stupid, are you? Potter." The inappropriate voice always sounded just right.

"Of course not!" Harry struggled to jump off the ledge, not daring to look up at his face. "I should wake Ron up."

Harry felt as if his heart was about to be spit out by himself, flustered and a little sick.

"When did he come?" Hermione quickly woke up. "I was too negligent to sleep so deeply, which made me feel scared."

"Obviously Ron doesn't think so." Harry slapped Ron again. The guy had his eyes closed even when he was sitting up.

"God, I'm still dreaming!" Ron opened his eyes in pain.Harry tossed him the robe, which he put on slowly.

"Sorry, Draco." Hermione looked apologetically at the young man leaning on the windowsill.

"It's okay, it's rare to appreciate Gryffindor's various sleeping positions." After speaking, he glanced at Harry with disgust.

"..." Ron glared at him and opened his mouth, remembering Hermione's instructions and said nothing.

"Draco, in general, welcome back." Harry spread his hands awkwardly. "Here are some desserts and milk, if you want to eat, you can..."

Draco took a sandwich biscuit in a rare obedience, and ate it slowly and gracefully with the milk.

Harry looked at the surprised Ron, and felt relieved involuntarily.

"Sit down and eat something, I'm starving." Hermione sat across from Draco.

Ron quickly sat down next to Hermione, leaving Harry the space next to Draco.

After everyone settled the late dinner in an eerie quiet atmosphere.Draco spoke.

"The Dark Lord is attacking the Ministry of Magic." He changed his sarcasm and said solemnly.

"Sure enough," said Harry worriedly, "he's just trying to trap us."

Several people lost their appetite.Thinking silently.

"Draco, I want to tell Professor McGonagall about you." Hermione looked at Draco and pursed her lips.Harry looked at Ron in surprise. "You deserve the respect you deserve. Everyone here... hates you. Their disappointment in you from the beginning has been honed in battles and battles into hatred imposed on you."

Draco didn't say a word, all kinds of emotions rolled in his eyes.

After a long time, he raised his head and laughed at himself, but his gray eyes looked at Harry.

"Do you hate me too, Potter?"

Harry hadn't expected to be questioned. He dodged his eyes, hate?Does he still hate Malfoy?

Harry missed the disappointment and gloom in Draco's eyes.

"I don't care what they think, and I don't want too much bondage. So keep it a secret for me, Granger." Draco said, with the usual smirk on his pale face.

"I don't hate you, Draco, if I may call you that." Harry looked at him firmly. "We are friends... Even if it doesn't count, we are also comrades-in-arms, right? After all, you have paid such a high price and deserve to be respected."

Draco froze for a moment, his eyes filled with unknown emotions.

"Long thought, Sage Potter, even though you gave me goosebumps," he murmured, smirking amusedly again.

"Merlin, I can't accept calling each other Christian names with you." Ron was disgusted.

Draco snorted coldly and didn't answer.

"The Dark Lord is still raising troops, and it seems that the Ministry of Magic is the main target of his attack." Draco said, he took out a carry-on box and put it on the table. "I was sent there."

Hermione put the box back to its original size, filled with potions as always, and even some protective equipment.

"Thank you, Draco."

"They actually let you fight with a group of adults?" Harry was surprised.

"Don't look at me with that pitiful look, Potter." Draco frowned. "At least I'm freer than you."

"Where did you have the chance to get these things?" Ron picked up a bottle of potion and sniffed it.

"It's from my house," Draco said perfunctorily.

Then Hermione asked Draco a lot about the outside world.Find out that most things are terrible.

"I think, you should have plans?" Draco said, "About how to win."

Hermione, Harry and Ron looked at each other.

"Don't tell me that you are being beaten?" Draco said incredulously.

"There's no way, isn't it?" Harry smiled bitterly.

"Harry, Malfoy is from our side. If he is a spy, he can..." Ron said pleasantly, "Oh, what are you doing, Hermione!"

Hermione withdrew her hand from pinching him and glared at him.

"Do you want to kill him?"

Harry was also mad that Ron wanted to send Malfoy to finish their unfinished business. Not to mention how difficult it is, as long as he does it, he will be completely sentenced to death.

Draco glanced sullenly back and forth between them.

"It's great, I'm actually helping a group of self-righteous Gryffindors." He said disappointedly, "I thought you trusted me."

"No, it's not like that. Draco, you can't meddle in this matter, we're sorry for you, but we can't hurt you."

"How great." Draco stood up, and it was obvious from his expression how unhappy he was.

"If there's nothing else, I should go." He glanced back at Harry, then lowered his eyes and disappeared by the window.

"Look! We ran him out of anger, and now there is no source of potion." Ron said angrily.
