I almost ruled the world
Chapter 10
Brianna followed Clark out of the taxi and took out her luggage from the trunk.
But as soon as it was taken out, Clark took it.
She smiled happily at Clark, then turned her head to look at the dusty apartment building in front of her, "Is this where you live?"
Clark coughed softly, "Considering the price, this is already a good choice in Metropolis."
Brianna gave him a suspicious look, then leaned towards him and whispered, "Doesn't Superman have his own little vault?"
Clark's glasses slipped a little, but he didn't care because he was holding the luggage in both hands, "Why do you think I have a small coffer."
She thought for a while in confusion, and then whispered, "You are the soul of the Justice League, one of the Big Three, don't you have any subsidies?"
"I'm not doing this for the money, Brianna." He stepped back a little, putting some distance between them. "Let's go."
Brianna shrugged and followed Clark into the elevator. The elevator door trembled and made a high-pitched voice like a grandmother clearing her throat before closing slowly.
Facing her questioning eyes, Clark Kent pretended not to see it, and stared at the crack of the elevator door ahead, as if there was something very interesting in the crack of the door.
Brianna was in a bad mood suddenly, but she followed Clark and stood in front of his door, watching him take out the key and open the door.
The door was opened, but fortunately, the decoration inside the room was not bad, and it was barely clean.
Brianna wandered curiously in Clark's apartment. There was a potted plant on the table. The sunlight outside the window poured in through the cracks in the curtains. The light was full of floating dust, and the trash can was filled with food that hadn't had time to be thrown away. Package.
The kitchen didn't seem to be a decoration either, half of the jug under the coffee machine was still unfinished, and I don't know why he didn't clean up his things before going out.
Brianna had thought that Clark Kent would live in a mansion full of modern decorations, so otherworldly that everything seemed like a decoration.
Just like a real god, he sympathizes with the world from above.
But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Clark put the luggage aside, stretched out his hand to adjust his glasses, and pointed to a door at the corner, "This is your room, Brianna, it will be smaller than before, I hope you don't mind."
She pushed open the door in the direction Clark pointed and turned on the light. It took five seconds for the bulb to light up with difficulty.
This seemed to be a utility room at first, and it could be seen that Clark had cleaned it briefly, but after a few days, a thin layer of dust still accumulated here.
Brianna's room was smaller than the previous room in Smallville, Kansas, and obviously not as well-furnished as Martha's room in Kansas.
A single bed takes up almost half of the room, and there is nothing left in the remaining space except for a small desk, a chair, and a wardrobe.
But even so, she looked up at Clark and said sweetly, "Thank you, Clark."
Clark Kent didn't seem to understand Brianna's thanks at this time. He touched his nose and looked at the room that he hadn't put much effort into tidying up before, "You're welcome...do you need help?"
"Can you?" Brianna looked at him expectantly.
"Of course." Clark nodded.
Brianna sent Clark to help her put her winter clothes at the top of her closet.
With Clark's height, he put her in easily. She had a plan in mind, and she could find a chance to use Superman again in winter—if her plan lasted until winter.
Then there was the light, which was clearly in a state of disrepair, at least in need of a bulb change.
Clark also easily changed the light bulb for her, floating in mid-air without even using a chair.
Brianna idly watched his back from the bottom up, resisting the urge to whistle.
Unfortunately, she always kept in mind her purpose of ruling the world, and she had no interest in him.
Yes, not interested.
Even very disgusting and jealous.
But she will do things even against her will.
Who told her that she just wanted to rule the world.
……
Everything else is ok, the most important thing is the dust, if it is not clean, Brianna is not comfortable to live in.She went out of the room to look for rags and brooms, but she couldn't find them after searching the house for a long time.
She stuck her head into her room. "Where are they, Clark?"
Clark looked a little embarrassed, and then opened the window in front of Brianna. The window was as small as a pillow, and the opposite of the window was the wall of the opposite floor, which could at least reduce the possibility of being peeped.
"Stand back." Clark held Brianna's shoulder and motioned her to step back.
"Huh?" Brianna didn't respond.
Suddenly, Clark beside him took a deep breath, and the surrounding air quickly rushed into his body, puffing out his broad chest.
"What are you going to do?" She felt that something was wrong and looked at him in surprise.
In the next second, Clark spit out a large amount of air, like a small hurricane, Brianna's hair was blown into a mess, and the clothes that had just been put in the closet became a bit messy because of this.
Clark helped her close the closet door, and then awkwardly stepped forward to close the window of the room.
Brianna straightened her hair speechlessly, and then looked at him angrily, "Is this how you usually clean? Please buy the broom and rag tomorrow, Mr. Clark!"
……
After cleaning Brianna's room, she kindly offered to help Clark pack his luggage.
Although Clark tactfully refused, Brianna still insisted.
She went directly to Clark's room door and opened it. Although the room was a little bigger, it wasn't actually that big.
The suitcase was placed in the center of the room, and Briana just knelt down to help him unpack it.
Of course, Brianna had no good intentions.
Seeing a beautiful and cute little girl help me organize her underwear, I can't help but dream about it,
"Thank you for your kindness, Brianna. But I'm afraid it's too late, I have to take you to the new school to report." Clarke's words made Brianna stop her movements.
The smile on his face immediately collapsed, "Oh, well, if that's what you want."
"It's for your own good, Brianna, you need to fit in," Clark reassured.
"For my own good." She muttered annoyedly, "I really hate it when you say such things to me, I thought you could understand me."
Clark looked at her with a hint of sympathy and concern in his eyes that he didn't realize, "But you can handle it, right?"
Brianna pouted, "Will you always listen to me then?"
"Listen to you?"
"Pay attention to what happened to me in school. After all, I am an ordinary person with no power to restrain a chicken. What if the person who looks after me doesn't find out if I am bullied?"
"I can't guarantee that all the time..."
"Then if I call your name, will you hear me?"
Briana's dark eyes were fixed on him, her long eyelashes fluttering slightly.
Clark felt as if he could see a lot of indescribable emotions in it, and even, he saw his own reflection.Obviously, she was expecting an affirmative answer from herself.
"Yes, I'll hear it."
"The wind will bring your voice to me."
But as soon as it was taken out, Clark took it.
She smiled happily at Clark, then turned her head to look at the dusty apartment building in front of her, "Is this where you live?"
