Chapter 246 Hogsmeade (4)

In mid-October, they went to Hogsmeade for the first time.As the security measures around the school became more and more strict, they all thought that the school would not allow them to go to Hogsmeade village. This morning, a strong wind began to blow outside, and the rain and snow came to this land in advance.Jane didn't want to go out at first, but she was forcefully dragged out of the common room by Hermione. In Hermione's words, she was too depressed in this short period of time, she basically seldom spoke or participated in any activities, as if she was no longer interested in anything.Ever since Snape left her, Hermione had been very concerned about her situation, especially since Hermione hadn't dared to tell anyone about it, especially Harry and Ron.

Jane wore a thick cloak and went to Hogsmeade with the three of them. Many places in Hogsmeade were closed due to Death Eaters, but fortunately, the Honeydukes Candy Store was still open. They walked in quickly and met Professor Slughorn, who was buying candy.

Slugne invited Harry to his party again, having declined more than once before. This time Harry refused Professor Ghorn's invitation again on the grounds that he was going to Dumbledore's class on Monday night.

"What a coincidence!" Slughorn yelled exaggeratedly. "Ah, well...you can't hide from me forever, Harry!" He waved his hand pretentiously and walked out Candy shop. From the beginning to the end, he never looked at Ron and Jane as before.

As they were leaving the Honeydukes Candy Shop, they happened to meet Mundungus. He was carrying a box in his hand, and when he saw Harry, the box in his hand fell to the ground, and things were scattered.Harry's sharp eyes recognized that Mundungus's trunk contained many things from Black's house, which made Harry very angry.

"What did you do? You went and ransacked the place the night he died?" Harry growled.

"I—didn't—" Montgomery stepped back in a panic, and then he apparated away with a snap.

Harry originally wanted to catch up, but was stopped by Tonks who suddenly appeared.

When Jane saw Tonks, she understood why Dumbledore would allow the students to come to Hogsmeade. She believed that Tonks was definitely not the only Auror in this village.

Because of this incident with Mundungus, Harry was in a very bad mood for the next period of time. They drank a little butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks and were about to be sent back. Neither Harry nor Hermione was in the mood to stay in Hogsmeade any longer—Harry was because of Sirius and Mundungus, And Hermione is because since Ron entered the Three Broomsticks, his eyes have been lingering on the charming proprietress, Mrs. Rosmerta.Jane keenly felt that Hermione might be really jealous. And this feeling directly shows that her good friend may have fallen in love with another good friend of hers.

Jane glanced at Harry, she wondered if Harry had noticed the problem. But seeing Harry's angry look, she knew he must not have noticed the problem.

The trip was no fun and the weather would only get worse if we stayed any longer. So they wrapped their cloaks tightly again, put their scarves over their faces, put on gloves, and followed the two girls who happened to be going out too, out of the bar and back down the road. They walked in the direction of Hogwarts with difficulty stepping on the frozen slush on the road.Jane walked behind Ron, her neck locked tightly, until a shrill scream blew into her ears along with the cold north wind, she straightened her neck and looked forward.

It was the two girls who had walked in front of them before, and Jane recognized one of them as Katie, and the other she didn't recognize for a while because they had been facing them.

"It's none of your business, Lini!" she heard Katie say.

They turned a bend in the path, and the rain and snow fell more densely and urgently. At this moment, Lini suddenly reached out to grab the package in Katie's hand.Katie yanked back hard, and the package fell to the floor. All of a sudden Katie was up in the air, she wasn't hanging upside down with Ron's ridiculous ankle hooks, she was very graceful, with her arms outstretched as if about to fly. However, there was something weird about her, something was wrong... Her hair was blown about by the fierce wind, but her eyes were closed, and there was no expression on her face. The four of them and Lini They all stopped and stared at her blankly.

Then, six feet above the ground, Katie let out a horrific scream. Her eyes snapped open, and what she could see or feel clearly caused her terrible pain. She screamed one after another.Lini cried out too, grabbing Katie by the ankles, trying desperately to drag her back to the ground.

The four of them immediately rushed to help, but just as they grabbed Katie's legs, she fell on top of them.Harry and Ron jumped on her and held her, but she was writhing so much they couldn't control her.So they put her on the ground. She writhed violently and screamed, apparently not recognizing any of them.

Jane held Katie's writhing hand tightly, and she called out to Harry, "Get help!"

Harry stood up immediately and ran to find someone.

In the snowstorm, the biting cold wind made Jane feel that her exposed hands were about to freeze. She lost consciousness and only felt a kind of numb pain, and she couldn't even feel the cold.Katie writhed under her hands, but she fixed her upper body numbly like a pair of pincers until Harry rushed over with Hagrid.

Hagrid stared at Katie for a second, then bent down to pick her up without a word, turned and ran in the direction of the castle. After a few seconds, Katie's screams were inaudible, and there was only the whistling of the wind.

Hermione hurried over to Katie's wailing friend and put her arm around her. "You're Lini, aren't you?"

The girl nodded.

"Did this happen suddenly, or—?" asked Hermione.

Jane stroked her hair that was blown by the wind with numb hands, and then stuffed her hands into her pockets to try to relieve it, but in fact her hands were still unconscious.

"An accident happened as soon as the package was torn open." Lini said sobbing, pointing to the soaked kraft paper package on the ground. The package was torn open, and something glowed green inside.

Ron bent down and reached out, and Harry grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"Don't touch it!" snapped Jane, and then she pulled a scarf from her own neck and handed it back to Harry. "We've got to get it back."

Holding the scarf, Harry bent down to see a gorgeous opal necklace peeking out of the paper bag: "I've seen it before," Harry said, looking at the thing, "it was on display at Borgin & Bock's a long time ago. Trademark It says it's enchanted. Katie must have touched it." He looked up at Lini, who was shaking uncontrollably now. "How did Katie get this thing?"
