Chapter 20 Flight Lessons
As time goes by, the friendship between Jane and Hermione has become deeper and deeper, because many times I can see the shadow of Zhirui on Hermione. They are equally brave, strong and smart, the only difference is that Zhirui is more bold and unscrupulous, while Hermione always has her own rules and requirements. However, having a friend like Hermione at Hogwarts is still a very good thing, especially when doing homework, this advantage can be more obvious.
The relationship between Jane and Harry is not as good as that of Neville, even though Harry once helped her win Raphael, but because of Ron's rejection of Hermione, Jane and Harry have always kept close distance.
"I'm very surprised, what happened to you, why does Ron seem to dislike you so much?" Jane put down the quill in her hand and blew on the paper she had just written.
Hermione was a little unnatural, and her face was a little unhappy: "Maybe he thinks he is too stupid standing in front of me."
Jane raised her eyebrows and put the finished paper away: "Maybe you hit him too hard."
Hermione fell silent and continued working on her paper.
"Whether it's Charms or Transfiguration, you are the best." Jane smiled and said, "His self-esteem has been hurt."
"Then he should seriously review his homework instead of just playing around." Hermione said sharply: "Look at his grades, it's really terrible!"
While they were talking, a notice was posted on the bulletin board in the Gryffindor common room.
Jane saw it and said, "There is flying lesson on Thursday, and we have it with the Slytherin students."
For flying, Hermione showed a nervousness that was different from other courses.Jane guessed that it was because Hermione couldn't hold the textbook to preview the flight lesson, all the content was based on practice, and the theory and flying had nothing to do with it.
Jane herself didn't have much feeling for flying, because she was born as a fairy and lived in the fairyland of Zhongtian since she was a child, so flying was as normal as walking for her. It's just that she has no mana now and has become an ordinary human being, so at present she can only rely on a broomstick to go to the sky like other little wizards.
Since she learned about Quidditch that day, she specifically searched for information about broomsticks. After the investigation, she found out that the broomstick was equivalent to a special flying machine for wizards, like an airplane for ordinary people. The difference is that broomsticks are controlled by magic, while airplanes are controlled by fuel.
On Thursday, Neville had received memory balls from his grandmother, which would help him remind him of things he had forgotten.
Jane is not optimistic about this kind of props, because she thinks that according to Neville's personality, it is very likely that he will lose the memory ball in a certain month of the year.
At 03:30 in the afternoon, Jane and Hermione came to the clearing outside the castle. They were taught flying lessons by a witch with gray hair. They called her Mrs. Hooch.
"Well, what are you all waiting for?" she snapped. "Everyone stand by a broomstick. Quick, quick, hurry up."
Jane stood beside a broom that looked fairly new, and followed Mrs. Hooch's instruction to let her broom fly.
"Get up." Jane said, and the broom obediently flew into her hand.
Hermione's eyes widened, and what surprised her even more was that after Jane got her own broomstick, Harry got her own broom at the same time. And her broom is still spinning on the ground!
By the time everyone had their broomsticks in their hands, it was almost half the lesson, and Mrs. Hooch spent the rest of the time teaching them how to use the broomsticks smoothly.
"Okay, as soon as I whistle, you kick your legs off the ground and kick hard." Mrs. Hooch said: "Hold the broom steady, rise a few feet, then lean forward slightly, and fall vertically back to the ground. Listen to my whistle: one, two—"
Before Madam Hooch could say the "three", Neville took off on his broomstick.
Jane didn't know why, she had a hunch that Potions class was coming back.
Mrs. Hooch's eyes widened as she watched Neville fly higher and higher. Jane guessed that this might be the first time she had encountered a strange creature like Neville since her coaching career. So when Neville fell from the broom that was flying high and high, Madam Hooch forgot to cast him a buffer spell such as the Levitation Charm or the Cushion Charm.
Jane made a decisive decision, directly pulled out her wand, and said in the direction where Neville fell, "Wingardim Leviosa."
Since everyone's attention was attracted by Neville, and Jane's voice was soft, no one noticed Jane's move at all.
She put away her wand, not wanting to attract anyone's attention, but she clearly felt a gaze falling on her from the inside of the castle.Jane looked up, there was a long window, but there was no one there.
Mrs. Hooch took Neville to the medical wing, and the remaining little wizards started chatting about various topics.
Jane noticed the blond boy in Slytherin, whom she knew from Harry as Draco Malfoy. She saw the boy pick up the Remembrall that Neville had accidentally dropped, and purposely get Harry's attention.
This may be the natural enemy.
Jane watched Harry chasing Malfoy regardless of Hermione's dissuasion, so she simply let her broom hang in mid-air, and then sat sideways on it to watch the show.
Malfoy threw the Remembrall, and Harry caught it at the last moment. Then Jane saw Professor McGonagall appearing in front of everyone in a hurry. Seeing this, Jane immediately stood up from the broom, looking cute.
Professor McGonagall took Harry away, and Malfoy hid aside and gloated.
"I knew it would be like this." Hermione complained on the way back to the dormitory. "They will deduct points for it."
"But they managed to save Neville's memory ball." Jane comforted her and said, "Without Harry, Neville's memory ball would definitely shatter."
"But I heard Malfoy asked them to a midnight duel." Hermione said worriedly: "Harry agreed to the appointment."
"It's really normal. Boys have this kind of heroism complex. They always try to defeat their enemies." Jane said calmly, then she stopped, looked at Hermione and said, "You must to dissuade them."
Hermione gave her a "shouldn't I do that?" look.
Jane smiled and walked on: "I think both Ron and Harry have rejected your offer."
"They're breaking the school rules all the time!" said Hermione angrily.
"Forgive these boys, if you really don't want them to go, you can try to tell Professor McGonagall." Jane and Hermione came to the door of the Gryffindor lounge, she gave the password to the fat lady, and then drilled Entered: "If you don't tell the professor, then it's best not to stop them. Because that is, useless work."
"Jane, sometimes I really don't understand why you don't care about it." Hermione followed Jane's footsteps back to the dormitory: "We belong to the same college, don't you want to win the college cup?"
Jane actually wanted to say that winning the Academy Cup didn't appeal to her at all, but she looked at Hermione's eager eyes and felt that she still couldn't say it.So she nodded against her will and smiled: "Of course."
"Well then, tonight, let's stop them from participating in that duel." Hermione said firmly: "If we tell Professor McGonagall, everyone will think we are snitches, so we It’s up to us to stop them from continuing to make mistakes.”
The relationship between Jane and Harry is not as good as that of Neville, even though Harry once helped her win Raphael, but because of Ron's rejection of Hermione, Jane and Harry have always kept close distance.
