After a while, the crowd dispersed, but Huiming was still standing in front of the Buddha statue.A monk whispered a few words near him, but Huiming was slightly taken aback, seeing Pei Yu walking in slowly from outside.

Huiming smiled and said, "In less than a month, I will see Mr. again."

He was talking about the events before the Obon Festival, and Pei Yu only smiled when he heard it, and said, "Don't come here in good health, great monk."

At this time, Pei Yu recalled the old affairs of the previous dynasty, and his heart was filled with emotion. After a moment of silence, he turned around and said, "It is disrespectful to say such things in front of the Buddha."

Huiming just smiled and said: "There are a few people in the world who can really leave the world, otherwise, they don't need to practice."

Pei Yu also nodded and smiled, and the two walked out.Pei Yu said, "Why is the mage teaching the Dharma in this cave?"

Huiming said: "Actually, this cave was originally the lecture hall cave. In the cave dug by the local monks before Emperor Wen moved the capital, there was also a living room, which was the monk's room cave, and the one dedicated to meditation was the Zen cave; It is rare to find such things that were built by the royal family. It is said that this grotto was originally a place to stay away from the mundane world and meditate in meditation. The so-called good view of the truth is to pay attention to the mind, to meditate on the Buddha, and to seek harmony with the Buddha. Unity, transcending life and death, is the realm of Nirvana. Buddha statues carved in grottoes are just for the sake of seeing Buddha in front of you when you sit in meditation. , this place is also good, people in the world regard the Buddhas built in caves as good fruits to worship, and they have fallen into a wrong path."

Pei Yu said: "Master feels that we and the worldly people worship the Buddha for the sake of worldly affairs, and we cannot be regarded as true believers."

Huiming smiled and said: "I just said that if you are born with a vision of the world, you don't need to practice. Since it is practice, how can it be true or false?"

After all, the two of them left the cave.Seeing Li Jihou outside, Huiming glanced slightly at Pei Yu and said, "Then why are you here, sir?"

Pei Yu said, "For meditation."

Therefore, Pei and Li followed Huiming and turned to go down the mountain. Along the way, they saw cliffs standing upright, and the Tangtang River was under their feet.Pei Yu said, "Is this also Luoshui?"

Huiming said: "It is actually Yishui that flows through Longhua Mountain. However, Yishui is also a tributary of Luoshui. If you go eastward for more than ten miles towards Luocheng, the two rivers, Yi and Luo, meet." He stopped, He said with emotion: "Yi and Luo Rivers, east of Songshan Mountain, have been home for three generations since Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, in the world..." Suddenly sighed, but didn't say anything further.On the side, Pei Yu remained silent, turned his head slightly to look east, and saw that the nails in his sleeves had pierced his palms.

Huiming led Pei Yu to a cave in the middle of the mountain, and saw a statue of a strongman carved on the left and right outside the cave, but the inside was not very big.There is only one niche on the front side for carved statues.Seeing that there was a statue of Buddha sitting cross-legged inside, Pei Yu couldn't help asking, "Why isn't Kaye behind the main statue, Ananda?"

Huiming said, "This is the image of Maitreya."

Pei Yu was a little puzzled, and said, "I've never seen a single worshiper of Maitreya before. There is only Maitreya here, but not Sakyamuni. Why?"

Huiming said: "Mr. used to worship the Buddha of the third time. When sitting in meditation, he saw the Buddha statue and remembered the real Buddha. If he couldn't remember it, he couldn't see the Buddha. It is rare to see the Buddha, so he has to practice. But he practiced every day. If you don't see it, you will inevitably have doubts in your heart. If you have doubts, you need to ask for answers. Since the Buddha is far away in the Western Paradise, the one who can be asked and explained here is the future Buddha Maitreya who lives in the world. The statue of Maitreya is enshrined for the purpose of asking questions. Maitreya and remember the Buddha."

Pei Yu said indifferently: "Does it have to be the same with the way of the Great Monk?"

Huiming smiled wryly and said, "To understand life, old age, sickness and death in this world, and see prosperity and decline without disturbing one's mind, don't you think it's not difficult?"

Pei Yu said: "Since this life is full of joys and sorrows, and what you cultivate is the next life, why bother to be blinded by the illusion of death and life in front of you."

Huiming looked at him for a while, then smiled and said, "Sir, you can see through like this, you have the root of wisdom."

Why can't Pei Yu hear the sarcasm in this voice, but he is doomed to be involved in a sea of ​​blood in this life, and all he can ask for is the next life.At this time, he was not in the mood to argue with Huiming, so he just said in a long voice, "Master please recite a passage."

Huiming saw that although his expression was indifferent, there was worry and worry between his brows, and he said with emotion: "I only know that this person is hard-hearted, with a heart of stone. Sure enough, mortals are full of worries and distresses when they are alive."

So he raised his arms silently, showing Pei Yu to sit under the statue of Maitreya.Li Ji waited outside the cave since he came, and there were only two of him in the cave for a while.For a moment, Huiming's chanting sound echoed leisurely.The corners of the Maitreya Buddha statue's lips are lightly raised, and its eyes look down like a smile. The autumn wind pours into the cave, and the statue's belt seems to be blown by the wind, floating and moving.

When the sound of chanting stopped, Pei Yu still kept his eyes closed. After a long time, he raised his eyes, but Huiming suddenly asked, "What is Mr. worried about?"

Pei Yu stared at him for a moment, and then said for a long time: "I was walking in the mountains just now, chopping down miscellaneous trees all the way up. However, the more I went up the mountain, the more thorns grew in front of me. I got the peak. I just looked at the mountain top in front of my eyes, but my heart suddenly became troubled."

Huiming said: "The chaos is all caused by the heart, and the master has worked hard." After a pause, he couldn't help but said again, "You know that the sea of ​​suffering is boundless, and the shore is the same when you turn back."

Pei Yu's brows moved slightly, but after a while he let out a chuckle, the corners of his lips raised, but there was no smile in his eyes, and he said, "Your Highness, do you know what I see when I look back at the road?" He saw Huiming smiling Shaking his head, he said in a long voice, "There is a cliff behind me, and there is no way out."

Huiming was slightly surprised, but turned away and said: "No matter how scary the thorny cliff is, it is just an illusion. The master said to meditate, it is to purify the hostility in the heart."

Pei Yu heard what he said inside and outside the words, and he just let out a chuckle and said, "I have no turning back."

Huiming looked at him indifferently for a long time, and finally nodded and sighed.

When the two stepped out of the cave, the sky had already seen the setting sun.Pei Yu said: "There are a lot of troubles today, but there is still one thing that bothers me." Seeing Huiming put his palms together and smiled, he said, "The Heluo area is where the Chinese ancestors originated. The mountains and rivers are so rich and magnificent, but I have no time to appreciate them one by one. .I heard that there are many geography records in the area of ​​Los Angeles in the treasure temple. If I have a look, I will make up for some regrets. I wonder if the mage would open my eyes?"

Huiming smiled and said, "Mr. is really well-informed. There are indeed some notes of different people, which were handed down by senior monks, and are now stored in the mountain temple. But the number is quite large. I'm afraid I won't see anything at a quick glance."

Pei Yu said, "You're exhausted," and turned to Huiming, "I've been bothering you a lot today."

Huiming said indifferently: "Written scrolls are meant to be passed on to the world, and it is most boring to hide them in a dark room. Reading scrolls allows people to know the world without leaving the small room, and it is also a great pleasure."

Pei Yu said sincerely: "Master really has a great realm." He thanked him twice before sitting in front of the case to look carefully.I saw that the books were all arranged according to categories, and one by one, I saw the item of hydrology.He raised his hand to rummage through it, and found the "Luohe Hydrology Research" mentioned by Fan Yi in it.
