Chapter 4 Ghost Lesson

04

Nothing is right.

None of this is right.

Riddle felt that he must be crazy, or else he was angered by that ignorant ghost, so he really came to the classroom of ghost research in a flash of his brain.God knows that when he just stepped into the classroom, the eyes of the whole Slytherin were glued to him, as if he was some strange alien species that broke the ecological balance of the earth.

Yet nothing could stop what Lord Voldemort had already decided.

Although the boy's complexion was already comparable to his hair color, he still moved forward unswervingly until he took a seat in the front row of the classroom.

He didn't know why he sat at the front. Given the boy's good eyesight, he was always used to the middle position, a place not too far from the teacher, and he didn't have to worry too much about his small movements.

But this time was different.

Not the courses he had planned, not the topics he was interested in, not even the professors he knew.

A book was handed over from the seat next to him, and he glanced over his head. Malfoy grinned wildly. "I have an extra textbook for you," he added, blinking his gray eyes, " The book isn't expensive, but I don't think it's cheap, is it?"

Riddle was stunned for a moment, then he also laughed: "Thank you."

He spread out the book in his hand, seeming quite distressed: "Then Malfoy, what should we do with this one?"

Malfoy's smile froze on his face, he turned his expression twice, and then sneered, "So you prepared the textbook."

Riddle looked at him with a chuckle: "It doesn't count..." He shrugged and continued: "But I always have textbooks."

Malfoy's pale face seemed even paler, but his ears turned red with anger: "Then throw it away." He said coldly, "Anyway, my family doesn't lack these things."

"No." Riddle looked at the textbook in his hand, and handed it out again: "I remember that Stian should be missing one, and I thank you for him."

He looked at Malfoy's more icy expression, and added slowly: "Anyway, you don't have any shortage at home, right?"

An innocent voice that seemed to be unconscious suddenly broke into the subtle confrontation between the two:

"Have you met the professor of this class?"

The two turned their heads at the same time, it was Nord.

Malfoy snorted: "Do you have any?" He glanced at Riddle: "Aside from you, maybe Riddle has seen it?"

Nord shook his head innocently, Riddle just narrowed his eyes slightly, noncommittal.

"I dare say that this professor is definitely the biggest name in the history of Hogwarts," Malfoy clasped his hands and said dissatisfiedly: "I didn't attend the sorting ceremony, and even the names on the class selection form are abbreviated. So far, no student has seen him." A new professor from the east... I hope it’s not Principal Dippet who will come in later and say Happy April Fool’s Day to us.”

"Your idea is very interesting."

Riddle laughed again: "But I want to say... the professor seems to have arrived."

A light purple skirt floated in front of the classroom door. He tilted his head slightly, but he still couldn't see the girl's slender figure.

But he knew it was her.

The smile on the corner of the mouth is stronger, but the meaning is not very clear.

It seems that he still remembers coming to class, and it seems that amnesia is not too terrible.

"Have you seen her?"

Nord asked quietly.

The boy smiled, did not answer clearly, but adjusted his tie unconsciously.

Riddle's smile froze completely in the next second.

A small witch appeared out of nowhere from the podium, as if she had just fallen from the sky and landed on the podium. She adjusted her olive hat, her gray hair was disheveled back, and her emerald green eyes seemed shrewd, but Riddle could only think of chopped kiwi fruit.

Damn, who is she?

The boy clenched his fists. Fortunately, Nord and the others were all attracted by the witch who appeared out of thin air, and no one noticed his sudden change of mood.

"Sorry dear students, I'm late." The witch didn't get off the desk, but stood directly on the desk.Riddle noticed that she was actually less than half the height of a normal woman, like a dwarf.Maybe she was a hobbit.

"My name is Rosie Duff, you can call me Professor Duff, and I will teach you the course 'Ghost Studies' this semester. By the way." She patted herself on the head, and her short hands were ridiculously short: " I should first thank you for choosing this class, let me see how many people came... Well, everyone is more enthusiastic than I imagined..."

Malfoy couldn't help snorting, expressing his dissatisfaction with the lengthy opening remarks slightly.

Dwarf Professor Duff didn't seem to hear: "I'm sorry I missed our important sorting ceremony, but please believe that everything I do is to let everyone enjoy the fun of this class better..."

Riddle couldn't help but rubbed between his eyebrows, he didn't want to hear that noisy voice at all, his attention was all on the corner of the skirt by the door, but the corner of the skirt disappeared from his sight when the professor appeared .

...maybe just passing by.

It took a lot of effort to restrain his urge to chase after him.

A bigger anger suddenly swept over him, the anger of being cheated.

But who lied to him?Riddle couldn't tell either, he'd rather put all the bad debts on that girl.

It doesn't matter, sooner or later he will get it back.

"Professor" Malfoy's lazy voice finally interrupted the endless chatter: "We heard that you just came back from the East and know Eastern magic. Is this true?"

After finishing speaking, the corners of his eyes swept over the silent crowd, as if laughing at their lack of courage.

Professor Duff was stunned, and then laughed: "Of course, my dear children, so that's why you came to class." She stroked her gray hair again, and continued: "I really just came back from a trip to the East. ..."

There was a sudden excitement in the classroom, Riddle glanced to the side, Nord's eyes were undoubtedly shining.

"But I don't know oriental magic..."

The high-spirited atmosphere in the classroom instantly froze, and Riddle couldn't help but sneer.

"I stayed in the East for too short a time," Professor Duff blushed. "The war has limited my itinerary...but I can assure you that it is really a magical place. If you have the opportunity in the future, you can Go and experience..."

The voice of disappointment was about to overwhelm the professor's voice.

"Then Professor" is still the lazy Malfoy, but this time the person he is staring at is not on the podium, but the culprit Nord: "Have you ever contacted an Eastern wizard?"

"Contact?" The dwarf patted her on the head, suddenly excitedly said: "Look, I almost forgot the most important thing, contact... We will have a very, very different research course this semester, maybe you are choosing courses Sometimes I wonder what is the point of studying ghosts. After all, the school is full of Mr. and Miss ghosts that we are familiar with, but have you really understood them? I don’t think so... Besides, we have a lovely guest who came from afar this year... ..."

Riddle's heart suddenly tightened.

The professor turned her little head to the door of the classroom, and waved excitedly: "Come in, dear, I'm sorry to keep you waiting for so long..."

Xu Shi saw that there was still no movement outside the door, so the professor simply jumped off the desk, her whole body was like a light green ball, but she arrived at the door in less than a second, as if she disappeared and reappeared out of thin air.

Finally a slender figure slowly moved out from the door, Riddle held his breath, as if he was afraid that he would scare her away.

In a snow-white skirt, covered with a light purple gown, with his hands hidden under the slightly long sleeves, with jet-black hair and eyes full of water, it was the oriental ghost that had made him angry several times in the past two days.

He raised the corner of his mouth slightly, her appearance was probably the only thing that satisfied him this afternoon.

Riddle was obviously not the only one who was surprised, the eyes of the whole classroom were glued to the new girl, he turned his head and met Malfoy's disdainful gaze, the boy with light blond hair curled his lips at him, mocking it goes without saying.

Riddle followed Malfoy's gesture and turned his head, it was Nord.

When the girl came in, he stared at her like a maniac.

Although the girl did attract the attention of the entire classroom, Nord's expression was like... Riddle didn't know how to describe it, and he decided to classify this expression as a fool.

Riddle suddenly pushed Nord with his elbow, and the other party was obviously taken aback. Seeing that it was Riddle, he smiled shyly: "She's so beautiful, isn't she?"

The boy didn't answer, he turned his head to look at Daiyu again, just in time to meet her watery eyes.

My heart skipped a beat.

Daiyu also seemed a little surprised by this unexpected encounter, she seemed to want to back away, but stopped again, just lowered her head slightly, as if she wanted to laugh, but also seemed to suddenly remember something, and dissatisfied him With one glance, she decided not to look at him anymore.

She still remembers herself.

The corners of the mouth couldn't help but rise, not knowing whether to be satisfied or to show off.

The annoying Professor Duff spoke again, and she jumped back onto the desk: "Dear students, this Ms. Lin is from the real East. I think this is an excellent opportunity. So I have hired With Miss Lin as our special teaching assistant for this class, I think we will be able to get along in harmony, right?"

She blinked again, and the classroom erupted in applause, and Nord blushed, almost slapping his hands as red as his.

She won the favor of most people without any effort.

It's just that there are bound to be one or two discordant voices.

"Sorry, Professor," said Malfoy's voice again, "I want to know what's going on with Miss Phantom. She hasn't spoken so far. Are we going to have a dumb teaching assistant?"

"Malfoy!"

It was Nord who spoke first. He clenched his fists and said angrily: "You are too much! You should apologize to Miss Lin for your rudeness."

"If I'm wrong," Malfoy raised his head and continued without flinching, "I'm sorry. But I hope this Miss Phantom can show us how she's going to do the job, otherwise I recommend Bloodman Barrow came to fill this teaching assistant position."

Riddle snorted lightly, watched the two quarreling with interest, and even had time to appreciate Daiyu's gradually frowning.

The girl just sneered, as if she didn't intend to talk to them.

Malfoy's dissatisfaction pointed to her again: "Miss Ghost, how will you help us learn this lesson? Do you know magic?"

Riddle's finger tapping on the table lightly stopped, and he raised his eyes to look at the girl.

"Of course I don't know your tricks," Daiyu finally sneered and said, "But I've heard a saying that the frog at the bottom of the well doesn't know the sky, and the half-jar of vinegar is clanging. I don't know what kind of person you are." , why do you only know about your Barrow brothers?"

Riddle, who was watching from the sidelines, finally couldn't help but laughed out loud first, but Malfoy froze in place, a little confused about the situation.

It was Nord who came to his senses first, he couldn't breathe with a smile: "Miss Lin is right, Professor Duff didn't say anything, so what's the use of Malfoy talking about it?"

The Ravenclae student next to him couldn't help interjecting: "The frog in the well should go find your Barrow, how much class time was wasted."

The Gryffindor students laughed in agreement: "Malfoy at the bottom of the well is really suitable, Malfoy, you might as well turn into a frog in the transformation class, you will definitely get a high score hahahaha."

The wind of ridicule changed rapidly, and Malfoy's face turned red and pale.

"Miss Lin," Riddle finally said, his black eyes locked on the girl, and the corner of his mouth was a playful smile: "It's a frog or a swan, you have to get along to know it, right? But haven't we delayed too much class time, I I think Professor Duff still has a lot to say..."

The ghost glanced at him lightly, but retreated to the other side of the podium.

Riddle looked casually at the vacant seat on the left.

She still doesn't know how to do it, he thought a little regretfully.

Obviously this is the most suitable seat for a teaching assistant.

They'll still have a lot of time, though.

He will figure out where she came from and find a way to live forever. He will let her understand that he is not that ridiculous frog in a well, he is different from those people.

She will eventually pay the price for her offense.

Thinking of this, he smiled and looked at her again.

The other party returned him an unceremonious white eye.

The boy couldn't help laughing even more.
