Chapter 564

The routine of almsgiving is almost the same, just read Journey to the West, knock on the door and ask if there is food, don’t ask why you don’t ask passers-by for food, whoever walks with leftovers, if you go out, they don’t have enough for themselves Use it, where can you find the leisure to give alms to the monk?

So I still have to look for the houses where I live, but I can’t choose those poor houses. Not to mention the burden, the monks also want to eat something good.

Even rich and noble families must have a limit. If you come today, you can’t come again tomorrow. You can think about whether you can come the day after tomorrow. In short, you have to give people a time interval. The monk's heart can't be fed just by eating.

Also, consider returns.

Maybe the monk's reward is to recite a scripture, keep a scripture book, or give two strings of prayer beads or the like. These seemingly small things are useless, but whether they have it or not is a matter of thought.

Ji Mo didn’t know if monks in other worlds would even leave something behind for begging to show that they didn’t get food for nothing. Anyway, in his opinion, what Guangji did was very good. I won't be annoyed because he went for the second time, and even have some minor problems, ask for advice for minor troubles, and I can talk a few more off-topic topics after coming and going.

One day, at the house of a shopkeeper, Guangji and the shopkeeper were drinking tea and chatting in the courtyard. When it came to rebuilding the temple, the shopkeeper stroked his goatee and pondered: "It's not easy to rebuild this temple!"

In two years, the road up the mountain can still be recognized vaguely, and the foundation of Buddhist belief is also there. The only worry is that the rumors of haunting are not easy to dispel.

Ghosts are invisible and formless. If you say they exist, they cannot be seen or touched, and cannot be judged. If you say they don’t exist, you can’t see them. Why do you say they don’t exist?

No matter what, it's hard to convince the public that it's safe there. I'm afraid it will take a long time to verify it. Before that, no one would throw money into the water to listen to the sound.

"That's true. After the reconstruction, the poor monk wants to hold a puja first to reassure people's hearts."

If you want to exorcise evil spirits for this, it seems that there are evils in the first place. It is not as good as a Dharma meeting, which does not show mountains or dews, but can wash away the strange stories of the past with the solemnity and cleanliness of Buddhism.

When Guangji said this, the shopkeeper also nodded slightly, which is a good idea, after all, his family is also a believer, otherwise he would not give meals to the monk.

Hearing that Guangji was successful, and seeing his generosity, he simply gave money to the monk to rebuild the temple.

Guangji thanked the other party for his kindness, and accepted the money, but it was not in vain, and said that he would engrave it on a monument, so that people could know the kindness of the shopkeeper.

Unexpectedly, there was such a good thing, the shopkeeper agreed wholeheartedly, and smiled more sincerely.

When Guangji left his house and went to a few more, Ji Mo saw that there was no sign of rebuilding the temple, and the merit monument was erected first, not in front of the deserted temple on the mountain, but at the foot of the mountain, not far from the main road. It's not far away, you can see it wherever you go, and you will know that there is a temple on the mountain when you see it.

Isn't this just advertising?

Ji Mo suddenly felt that Guangji had great wisdom. After expressing his opinion, Guangji said: "You still lack a little wisdom, and you have missed a little bit."

"Which point?"

Ji Mo is not convinced. Standing on the shoulders of giants with his own wisdom, isn't what he has seen far enough?

"My merit monument is completed, and this temple will be completed soon."

Guangji said this, but did not explain further.

Ji Mo didn't understand, wasn't this what was meant to be done?I have raised some money, the framework of the temple is still there, and the foundation is not lost. The so-called reconstruction is actually a major repair. On the basis that the labor is worthless, and there may be believers who work for free, how can it be unhappy?

What does it have to do with the monument of merit, can it attract more attention?

Afterwards, although they had money, they were still begging for money. Guangji did not spend a single penny of the money that belonged to rebuilding the temple, so they were still begging for money before they had enough money.

The shopkeeper saw them again and asked about rebuilding the temple.

"Amitabha, the poor monk also wanted to make this vow as soon as possible, but he didn't have enough money, so he didn't dare to move the ground."

It is not acceptable to stop and wait in the middle of the drive. It is best to do it in one go, so that there is a sense of smoothness.

The shopkeeper also knew this truth. When he heard Hua Tou, he sighed and asked again: "But how much is the difference? Why don't we make up for it?"

Guangji didn't say the exact amount, only that the price was about the same, the shopkeeper didn't ask any more, and took money to make up for it. This time, it seemed that his flesh was hurting, and he immediately urged Guangji to start work quickly, don't delay until winter, The weather is cold and the permafrost is difficult to dig.

"Thank you for your kindness, as the benefactor said, it should be so."

Guangji responded unhurriedly, and took Ji Mo around again, and after a while, the people who had donated money all expressed that they could contribute more money and efforts, so Guangji was asked to start work quickly.

Ji Mo looked at it, a little confused, why the situation was reversed.

Before, it was Guangji who begged everyone to give money, and it was better to contribute more so that the temple could be rebuilt, but everyone didn't care too much, everyone said that it was not haunted?Isn't it so?In short, he had doubts and was unwilling to contribute money, and he was willing to contribute a little money after getting acquainted with Guangji. How could a monument of merit and virtue still have the effect of making people actively contribute money?

Even if there is, it is for new customers!

They are all old customers, and they have paid money before. The merit monuments are not ranked according to the amount of money. As for striving for the top?

The key is that if you give too much money, you can't move up any more!

Ji Mo couldn't understand the reason for their urging, and asked Guangji, but the other party only smiled: "So, you still lack a little bit of wisdom!"

That being said, the money was collected, and Guangji didn’t delay any longer. They booked wood and labor with great fanfare. Some shopkeepers heard that they were going to rebuild the temple, and thought it was a good thing to accumulate virtue. They only charged the capital, and some simply gave the work for free. , You can eat as much as you want.

The restaurant responsible for the meal package also stated that it can provide vegetarian meals for free...

With such concerted efforts, Guangji can actually be just a shopkeeper, just waiting for acceptance.

Ji Mo is still not at ease, he knows that there are many places that can be manipulated in such a large-scale project, and maybe the money that seems to be enough may not be enough in the end.

What's more, people's hearts are not ancient, and it doesn't mean that ancient people were pure and kind. If these people are not managed well, and some of them fish in troubled waters, what should they do?

"Under the eyes of the Buddha, it's not like this."

Guangji asked what Ji Mo was worried about, and he couldn't help laughing. The attitude of believing in the Buddha to solve all difficulties made Ji Mo feel that he had nothing in common with this master.

Two chickens and ducks talk, no one can convince anyone, and in the end they go their own way. Guangji went down the mountain to spread the brilliance of Buddha, explain Buddhist scriptures to others, and make alms by the way, while Ji Mo helped work on the mountain every now and then. It's just that it's not easy to make it clear, so as not to be annoying.

Many people come to work for free. What does he mean by supervising the work here? There are many things to do without paying money, I'm afraid it's not just looking for something to do.

Therefore, every time Ji Mo stays, he will pretend to be ignorant, and work together with the assignment of the laborers. They will also laugh and call him "little master", and will not assign him any heavy work, and occasionally chat Ask him some stories about learning Buddhism.

In this regard, Ji Mo felt that he was still very eloquent, not to mention extravagant hype, at least there were not many big discrepancies.

And then make the scriptures more colloquial to make it easier for everyone to understand the stories in them. Whether it is the Gods List, Journey to the West, or the prehistoric Difu, you can tell them. One set of theories absorbs the essence of the scriptures. What the Buddha said in the book sounds more and more realistic.

It was just talking and playing in an unsystematic way, and talking a lot, it seemed like a matching set. Those workers also liked to listen to it after work, so they simply gathered people to listen to storytelling during their breaks, listening to Ji Mo's narration.

Ji Mo's ass is not too crooked, and he knows what his main job in this life is. Tell a story, not to mention deliberately putting a crown on the Buddha, at least there must be some Buddhist thoughts running through it.

Although he doesn't really believe in some things, he has to say that if he takes Buddhism seriously, he can't say that he will live a good life. At least he will be more open-minded and calm in his mentality, so that he will not go to a dead end in his thinking. Come on, thoughts affect temperament. When the temperament is good, it cannot make the appearance better, but it will make people feel more comfortable and make one or two more friends.

I don't know if this counts as promoting traditional culture, Ji Mo occasionally thinks this way, anyway, he didn't promote it so that everyone will not be productive, and he will pay back in the next life for all the crimes he committed in this life.

To be honest, I occasionally think, if there is reincarnation, what does it matter to me in the next life?Enjoy everything that should be enjoyed in this life, pay debts casually or not, accumulate virtues but not accumulate virtues, and save the "self" in the next life to slowly pay off debts and accumulate virtues.

——I cheated myself series.

Guangji would come to the mountain every day. They live in the temple on the mountain now. When he went down the mountain to beg for alms, he would leave a portion of food for Ji Mo. Once he came back early and heard Ji Mo’s story about traveling to the west to learn Buddhist scriptures. Stopped and listened for a while.

In the evening, it was still the side room, so he asked Ji Mo how he remembered such a story?

If you ask me this way, my words will be long, and I have to start from Pangu opening the sky, Hongjun proving the way, Nuwa mending the sky, Fengshen Yanyi, etc. Of course, Ji Mo will not be so long and cumbersome, his eyes rolled, I was about to exchange questions with Guangji, "Master, a question is difficult because I haven't thought of the answer for a long time. Even if I have less wisdom, I will admit it. I just ask Master to give me some guidance, and I will tell Master the answer later."

He said this with a smile, with a bit of childish naughtiness.

Guangji did not get annoyed by this exchange, agreed, and told him the reason why he was urged in the opposite direction, "The stone tablet is erected by the roadside, with a great book of merit and virtue on it. If someone with good deeds walks up the mountain, the deserted temple will remain as before When you see a new scene, could it be that you are joking and fooling all living beings? You can know that people's words are terrible from the ghosts, and from this, the fame and reputation are like fire, and they are ruined in just a moment."

The ghost of nothingness, the monument of majesty and righteousness, one yin and one yang, both worrying about the heart, slaughtering the four directions. ——This is psychology!

Ji Mo bowed, "I am not as good as Master."
