Chapter 1 Colored Glass

11 is old.

There is no sunset in the cloudy evening, and there are only thick lead gray and dark blue intertwined in the gloomy, which makes the atmosphere in the room even more depressing.

The old man squatted at the door, muttering in the light of the burning paper money: "Son, you have been away for almost a year, how are you doing over there... Chenchen and Xixi are fine, you Don't worry, take good care of your mother with your wife over there..."

On the sofa in the living room, the little boy and the little girl were sitting side by side, the little girl looked sad.

"Oh, Xixi, don't be like this all the time." The boy squeezed the girl's hanging face with his hands, showing a grin, "Come on, let's go find it and play!"

As he spoke, he grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her up from the sofa, "Grandpa! Let's go out to play!"

The boy ran to the window of the next house with the girl, "Ah! It's Mujin!" He tiptoed as hard as he could to reach the window and knocked.

The boy with the pot head lying on the desk doing homework in the room turned his head to look at the window, lowered his glasses with a smile, and ran to open the window, "What are you doing?"

"Come out and play!"

"I'm doing my homework." On her immature face, there was a maturity that didn't match her age, but the silly hairstyle made people think that the child's maturity was extremely cute.

"Oh! Write after dinner. You see, I didn't write. Xixi is in a bad mood today. Aren't you her husband! Come out and coax her!"

"Brother!" The girl behind shyly blushed and shook off her brother's hand, "You are so annoying!"

"Oh~ I'm shy, I'm shy~" the boy made a fuss and grimaced.

"He Yingchen!" Xixi pointed at the boy's face, "If you do this again, I'll tell grandpa about your failing the exam, eating snacks in class, and a bunch of other things!"

"Hey, sure enough, you regain your spirits once you get angry, so it's not very good! Ah, let's go, didn't you say that there is a building near the school that is haunted last time, go and play!"

"Okay," Ah Liao put away his homework, "I'll go and tell my mom, you guys wait for me at the door."

Under the gloomy sky, the dilapidated Tongzilou looked particularly eerie. Looking in through the broken glass window, there was only a black hole, and the three children stood in front of the building, hesitating.

"Hey, let's go back, shall we?" Xixi tugged at the sleeve of her brother's gray coat, "This place is so scary, can't there really be ghosts?"

"It's all here, wouldn't it be embarrassing if you don't play?" Although he was also very scared, the child's vanity immediately swelled up in front of his sister.

They walked up the damp and dirty stairs, and the atmosphere became more and more cautious because of the silence. He Yingchen couldn't help breaking the silence: "Oh, it's said that there are ghosts here?"

"I heard from adults that it seems to be the innermost room on the top floor." Ah Liao replied in a very calm voice, without any fear at all.

"Oh, oh." He didn't really want to ask, so he agreed casually after hearing it.

The three children moved forward cautiously in the lifeless corridor covered with dirt.

"That, that room?" Yingchen pointed to a rusty iron door and asked.

"No, that's right there."

"Why aren't you nervous at all?" He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked into his calm eyes under the big glasses.

"I've never been afraid of these since I was a child. Besides, I don't believe in ghosts. If you're afraid, we'll go. I don't think Xixi wants to play."

"Who's scared?!" Xiao Yingchen stomped her feet anxiously.

"Shh! Don't make noise!" Xixi covered her brother's mouth, "Listen!"

From the concealed iron door came the faint sound of metal rubbing against air, and the sound was repeated at a not slow speed.

"What's the sound?" Yingchen asked in a low voice, pulling away her younger sister's hand.

"Hmm..." Ah Li shook his head, "Let's take a look? Is there someone in there?"

They quietly approached the crack of the door, the inside was covered with dirt just like the outside, and there was no one there. What was out of place in this dilapidated room was a clean fax machine on the table. Suddenly, a certain Dancing, reflective objects caught their eye.

Taking a closer look, a coin is bouncing and flipping in mid-air above the old, wine-red flannel sofa, just like an invisible person is sitting on the sofa and tossing a coin.

Seeing this scene, the children were terrified, and Xixi ran back after screaming in fear.

"Ai Xixi!" Ah Le followed closely behind and also ran away.

"Dang Langlang" screamed like a hand, turning off the switch of the coin toss, and the coin fell to the ground.

"You, you wait for me!" Yingchen wanted to follow, but he tripped over something beside his feet, so he simply wailed while clutching his bruised knee.

After crying for a while, he found that there was no scary thing in his fantasy around him, so he wiped his nose, wiped his tears and ran downstairs with choked up sobs.

Downstairs, Xixi and Ah Liao were discussing whether to go up to "save" him.

"You two scoundrels! You actually left me and ran away!" Yingchen complained while limping while covering her bleeding knee with tears in her voice.

"Are you okay bro!" Xixi immediately supported him, "Is there any ghost following you?!" She asked while looking at the dark corridor.

"Oh?! Will ghosts follow people?" He also looked back in fear, "Shouldn't there be?"

"Could it be that we got it wrong?" Ah Liao frowned and pondered, "Aren't there supposed to be no ghosts in the world?"

"Don't talk nonsense! You haven't died before, how do you know?! It was horrible just now, you, you guys are so bad...Wow..." Yingchen cried again.

"Brother! I'm sorry! Don't cry anymore..." Xixi shook Yingchen's arm and started crying too, "Let's go home, Grandpa should be worried if we don't go back."

"Hmm...hmm, but I can't tell grandpa that we came here, or I will be beaten again! Let's just say that I broke my knee while playing."

"Ah."

16 is old.

The harsh sunlight in summer makes the concrete road look like a pancake.

Two men and a woman who looked like teenagers walked side by side in the crowd.

"Wow, it's so hot, why are there so many people?! Crowded and fried buns!" Among them, the cute-looking young boy fanned the wind with the booklet in his hand and complained.

"Okay Yingchen, calm and cool naturally." The tall young man next to him patted him on the shoulder to comfort him. This young man had oblique bangs cut to a suitable length. He was handsome and very eye-catching in the crowd.

"Stop trying to persuade him," the cute and sweet long-haired girl next to him rolled her eyes, "He's just that irritable."

"Yes, yes! She was abducted to Mu's house before she got married!"

"I'm not going to Mu's house with an elbow," the girl took the handsome boy's arm, "I'm going to the handsome guy, who looks like you with a girly baby face and pretends to be pitiful in front of girls!"

"Ahhhh!" Yingchen was so angry that she clutched the back of her neck, "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Xiaohua, Xiaohua! Please hold your arms! The fever and sores will hurt you to death!"

"Okay, okay," the handsome boy looked at his face flushed with anger, "wouldn't it be hotter to be angry?"
