Was taken away by seniors after breaking up
Chapter 6 Stomach Disorders
-past-
"It's still raining outside, Danny," Pei Yan leaned over, and took the pen from Zheng Lan's hand from behind, "It's too late, it's time to go."
It has been raining in Palo Alto for almost a month, sometimes heavy and sometimes light.
Zheng Lan raised his head from the data on a screen and rubbed his eyes.
"Don't mess with your eyes." Pei Yan patted his hand and turned to pack his schoolbag.
After a while, the two walked out of the classroom together.
Zheng Lan turned off the light at the end, closed the door and looked into the corridor, Pei Yan supported the wall with one hand and covered his stomach with the other, bent over and lowered his head.
Zheng Lan ran over to support him, and anxiously asked what's the matter, Pei Yan could still laugh.
"I have a bad stomach, it's an old problem."
It was almost early morning when Pei Yan was sent to the hospital.
The doctor directly asked him to hang the water, and Pei Yan lived in a single room.
The nurse came in and gave Pei Yan an injection. Zheng Lan stood up and tucked the quilt for him, then asked, "Do you want some water?"
Pei Yan nodded, and Zheng Lan poured him a cup of hot water, and pressed the side of the paper cup to his palm.
"It's still a little hot."
Zheng Lan sat down on the chair beside the bed, opened another cup, and poured hot water back and forth in the two cups.
Pei Yan was leaning on the pillow, his stomach still aching. He looked sideways at Zheng Lan's careful movements, and suddenly said, "Don't go back today, it's too late, it's not safe outside."
Zheng Lan's hand paused, a few drops of water splashed out, and some landed on the back of his hand, causing him to shrink back.
After some careful consideration, Zheng Lan said, "Okay."
When the water was almost cold, Zheng Lan stood up holding the cup, and put the edge of the paper cup to Pei Yan's lips.
Pei Yan bent forward, her two lips covered the rim of the cup, and the warm water flowed into her mouth.
Seeing that he had had enough, Zheng Lan took the cup away and did not sit back on the chair, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that you had a stomach problem?"
"It's always been there," Pei Yan thought he was angry, "Today was just an accident."
"I'm sorry," Zheng Lan looked into his tired eyes, "If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have kept you up so long every night, and I would have reminded you to eat on time."
Zheng Lan herself is a person with bad habits. When she is busy, she often forgets to eat, and when she recovers, she is already hungry.
"Don't join in the fun," Pei Yan raised his hand, put the palm on the top of Zheng Lan's hair, and rubbed it weakly, "It has nothing to do with you, I will pay attention to it in the future."
Zheng Lan nodded and said that I would go out to fill a pot of hot water again, and wondered if I had listened to Pei Yan's words.
There is a high probability that there is no, Pei Yan laughed, lay down on the pillow, and fell asleep somehow.
When Zheng Lan came back, Pei Yan was still.
Zheng Lan watched him finish hanging the water, asked the nurse to bring an extra blanket over, turned off the light, and lay down on the sofa in the room and squinted.
It is impossible for him not to blame himself for Pei Yan.
He brought people into the project team, but being in the team doesn't mean working day and night with him, not to mention that he promised Pei Yan at the beginning that he only needs to be a similar technical consultant, and now he is still tossing I'm sick.
Zheng Lan deeply reflected on his recent behaviors, and found that he really had too many omissions.
He didn't close the curtains before going to bed, and the light from the street lights in the hospital leaked in. When Zheng Lan opened his eyes, he was able to meet Pei Yan's face.
What a senior brother he is, how could he be made like this by himself.
The next morning Zheng Lan woke up on the hospital bed, on the same bed that Pei Yan had slept on.
It took Zheng Lan a while to realize where she was, and when she looked into the ward, there was no one else but him.
There were two quilts covering her body, one was given to the nurse by herself, and the other was from Pei Yan.
Zheng Lan didn't have the slightest impression of how she got here.
He turned on his cell phone and wanted to ask where Pei Yan was, but felt that he should get off the bed first.
So he struggled to get out of bed, his clothes all wrinkled.
The air conditioner was turned on at a suitable temperature in the room, and the floor was blown very warm by the wind. Zheng Lan turned to look out the window, and the sun came out after a long absence.
Before he could turn around, he heard the door knock.
"woke up?"
Pei Yan came in with a few bags in his hand.
"Yeah." Zheng Lan felt a little embarrassed for a moment, and ran over to help Pei Yan carry things.
What he bought back was breakfast, with some of almost everything.
Zheng Lan even felt that she was useless, taking care of sick patients, even asking them to buy food by themselves.
"How early did you wake up?" Zheng Lan asked.
"An hour ago," Pei Yan said, took out the contents of the bag and placed them on the coffee table, "Go wash up and eat."
Zheng Lan nodded and said yes, and ran into the separate bathroom.
Pei Yan sat on the sofa and took apart the chopsticks, without telling him that he had actually told a lie.
Pei Yan woke up once at 04:30. Zheng Lan was sleeping soundly on the sofa, with half of her head slid out and hung in the air.
Pei Yan got up without turning on the light, and tried to call Zheng Lan a few times, but he didn't respond.
Pei Yan bent down and picked him up, and waited for a while, but Zheng Lan still didn't wake up, so he put him on the bed.
The arm was pressed by Zheng Lan's back, and Pei Yan didn't pull it out in a hurry.
The quilt wasn't even covered properly, even though Zheng Lan was wearing long sleeves, her exposed wrists and neck were all cold.
His body is very soft, and the bones are particularly prominent.
Pei Yan slowly pulled out his hands, and his fingertips ran across his spine with a layer of cloth.
He lay down on the sofa, leaning against Zheng Lan's depression, and heard him move on the hospital bed.
After Pei Yan's illness, Zheng Lan's level of vigilance soared, and she had to set the alarm clock for three meals a day, eating a balanced diet of meat and vegetables.
The final report has entered the final revision stage, and the project can end after participating in the defense.
The person in charge of the defense was Zheng Lan. Although he supervised Pei Yan's meals every day, he didn't care about himself.
Pei Yan has said about him many times, and Zheng Lan hides away every time.
"Zheng Lan is like this," Bai Hao walked by carrying a lunch box, "I don't listen to what anyone says, so I have to figure out something."
Hearing something happened, Zheng Lan silently took apart the chopsticks and started eating.
"Well," Pei Yan smiled and watched him bury his head very low, "That's right, something must happen."
Zheng Lan ate very quickly, stuffing the food into his mouth as if it was tasteless, Pei Yan sat down beside him, raised his hand to stop him, then pasted a piece of paper on his mouth, frowned and said, "Slow down!" Eat something, I'll read it for you later, there shouldn't be any problem."
Zheng Lan nodded while sticking the paper towel, took it off and coughed a few times, Pei Yan went to get him water, and saw that his ears were red from choking.
