Chapter 1 Snow Scenery

Today I am going to shoot a snow scene, this scene is the last scene of this movie, and it is also my finishing scene.

The relevant personnel of the crew have been preparing for it early.

shooting scene--

People passing by the shooting location couldn't help but be curious and always look this way.Even if most passers-by recognized the actor, they would not come to interfere, but just took pictures from a distance; occasionally, those who wanted to get closer were blocked by the staff.

Unlike rain scenes, snow scenes can be completed through convenient artificial manufacturing. The director has high requirements for realism and is picky, so he has been paying attention to weather information in the early stage of shooting.

The weather was in autumn and winter, and the scene was originally planned to fly to Harbin for filming, but Director Chen suddenly found out that the weather forecast suggested that there would be heavy snowfall in Liushi around early December. After discussing with the crew, the director decided to wait for the snow in half a month and shoot other scenes first.

As for why I chose to wait, it is because there is a beautiful commercial street in Liushi at night.

Even though winter is approaching, this commercial street is still as lively as ever, full of traffic and neon lights.Standing in it and looking at it at a glance, I feel that pedestrians are in a hurry, and they should have a wonderful life.

Presumably this is also the effect Director Chen wanted.

So my finale scene was postponed for half a month.

During the half-month vacancy, I didn’t have much work, I only went to film an advertisement and a magazine, and I didn’t leave the crew for the rest of the time. I stayed in the hotel and read the scripts brought by my agent to hone my acting skills and practice. Lines, by the way, choose the right role for the next play.

Time passed very quickly, and it was time to shoot in a blink of an eye, and the heavy snow in Liushi also arrived quietly in the quiet morning of a certain day.

Director Chen's film is a commercial film with a simple and easy-to-understand name, called "Ultimatum in the City".The story is well told, with touching elements, which is the director's traditional style.

The role I played was the male number three, and I followed the male protagonist to help him solve problems, assist the emotional development of the male and female protagonists, and promote the development of the plot. And after the passing of the relay hero, the heroine leaving sadly, and the second villain being imprisoned, recall the past as the end of the story.

As the third male, the proportion of roles is quite good.

In this scene, I want to walk alone on the street in the evening, keep my head down when the snow is falling, and then look up to the front. The last scene needs to be frozen in my eyes.

This year is colder than previous years, so there will be snow in December in Liushi.

At this time, the snow was falling one after another, not densely, and the white blossoms were piling up on the ground little by little, forming a thin layer of first snow.As soon as pedestrians stepped on and left footprints, they were covered layer by layer.

Bitter winter wind blows.

In order to look good on camera, even if it is cold, I can’t show a shrinking look. Fortunately, the coat is thick enough to withstand the severe winter wind without looking too bloated.

The staff began to prepare, and Director Chen was looking for the most suitable direction and angle.

I stood by the street, warmed my hands with a disposable paper cup filled with hot tea, and stared down at the snow covered on my shoes, recalling the plot and brewing emotions.

This is my personal finale scene, and no one else has a role in it. However, Hu Zeliang, who plays the male lead, also quietly came to the scene.

Hu Zeliang is in his early thirties. Although he has never won a Best Actor award, he already has many films worthy of his name.He entered the circle earlier than me, and has been immersed in this circle for ten years, and his acting skills are good.

Because of the characters and the plot, he and I played a lot of scenes, and we are fairly familiar with each other, probably because of his familiar personality, he also came to the shooting scene in the afternoon, saying that he wanted to watch from the sidelines.I'm actually not used to his enthusiasm, but he said that we are destined, so I just wanted to come and see him, and he will have his part in the next night, so there is no delay.

He and the actor who played the heroine have rich experience, and they have taught me some acting skills and experience. When playing with me, they always give advice. He is a good senior.

So I didn't refuse his kindness again.

At this time, he was standing next to me, looking at the cup in my hand, and asked me: "He Zhi, what are you drinking?"

"Hot tea." I said.

"It looks good, I want to have a drink too."

I was a little helpless, remembering that he just refused the assistant's tea: "Just now Xiao Zhang handed you the same pot of tea."

Hu Zeliang: "Maybe the ones in other people's hands are more fragrant?"

"This is an illusion." I am sure.

He smiled, didn't speak, and lowered his head to play with his phone. Not long after, his assistant Xiao Zhang brought the tea again.

Seeing that the crew was about to get ready, I carefully adjusted my emotions and didn't pay attention to other things.

After a while, Director Chen called the staff to leave the front of the camera, saying that after some preparations, the filming would start.

Hu Zeliang said "Come on", and without waiting for my reply, he walked out of the camera holding his hot tea.

Director Chen adjusted the equipment and walked over.

"Xiao He, just act according to what I told you before." Director Chen lit a cigarette, "Although this scene has no lines and is only supported by movements and eyes, it is not a problem for you. He's a promising rookie actor."

I smiled: "Thank you Director Chen for your affirmation."

I am an actor who has become a half-way monk, and I am not a professional. When I first started acting, I was completely groping on my own. Most of the time, I acted in roles.

It may be a bit of a talent in this area, or it may be a strong empathy. In the past two years, it has been praised by several directors and actors who have worked with it.

However, acting is not that simple. There are too many elements to consider in front of the camera. Immersively acting as a character, although close to the character, it is easy to appear rampant, and it is easy to fail to play.

Therefore, I have also taken related courses to learn the skills of acting.

For now, it's pretty unsatisfactory.

This scene is very simple. After everything was over, the third male lived in a daze, did not go to work, and never even left his rental house, looking like a walking dead.Until one day he saw snow falling outside the window, so he tidied himself up silently, went out clean and tidy like an ordinary person, and walked alone in the busy street—even though he only had a pool of stagnant water in his eyes.

Then he suddenly raised his head at a certain moment, and his eyes gradually became emotional.

Because he remembered the past.

All the while, he was at odds with the hustle and bustle of people coming and going around him.

Director Chen finished smoking a cigarette, put it out on the trash can beside him, and said to me, "Let's get started."

Then he turned his head and walked out of the camera.

I handed the paper cup to the staff, and the moment Director Chen shouted "A", I entered the state and walked along the street in silence.

There is snow on the street, and I know that the red and yellow lights in the shops will turn into round and fragmented spots in the lens, blurring the passing pedestrians, like in a dream, and like a scene when they are about to disappear.

Dreamy and lonely.

Director Chen said that he should show feelings of sadness and nostalgia, as if looking through time and space through the snow-covered streets, seeing the past and the present, and suddenly things are different.

According to Director Chen's request, the moment I raised my eyes to look at the camera, I suddenly thought of——

I haven't seen Mr. Wei for more than a month.
