"Reserved seating?" Ron yelled, spitting his lunch out of his mouth. He flipped through the open letter in his hand and showed it to Hermione and Harry.

Hermione frowned when she saw the second sentence of the letter splattered with gravy. "No big deal. Only two hours," said Hermione. She picked up her letter with whom she was forced to sit with on the way home from the holidays. They all had letters from Professor McGonagall that afternoon. "I think it's good, it's good for the colleges. It's not that bad, maybe we can make friends - Pansy Parkinson! I can't sit in the same car with her."

Harry laughed and looked over her shoulder to see who she was sitting with. "Gary Maynard. Who's that?"

"Second Year Hufflepuffs," said Hermione, looking at the paper. "They shouldn't be forcing kids to sit with Pansy, she'll probably scar them for life. Seriously, who did that? Apparently who—"

"Be careful, Miss Granger, if I were you I'd watch my tongue." A particularly unhappy voice interrupted her.Severus Snape was sending letters to people who were late for lunch. He pursed his lips, looked at them, and continued: "I took time out of my busy schedule to make these perfect plans. I thought that among all people, you are so crazy about learning, you should like people with different experiences together."

"Yes, sir," grumbled Hermione, slumping her shoulders in the seat. She looked at him unhappily as he walked away.

"As long as I don't sit with Malfoy." Harry smiled and opened his letter. "Safe," he approved of his compartment. "They are all under the fourth grade. It seems that I can sleep."

"Good afternoon." Ginny bounced over and greeted them happily. Her school uniform was immaculate, and her hair was neater than usual; she had clearly been prepped in the morning.

"You're happy," muttered Ron, envious of her energy, "nothing to laugh about."

"You know what, Ronald, you're so negative," Ginny said, sitting next to him, pinching his cheek. "I just finished my midterm and I did well. I can go home now." She sighed and took a sandwich from the plate in front of her.

"Don't get too excited, Kim," said Ron, pointing to Snape who was coming this way behind him.

"Miss Weasley, you're late." He looked down at her. "Here you are, your assigned seat on the ride home." Snape said slowly, shoving an envelope in front of Ginny.

"Oh." Ginny said softly. She took the envelope from him and smiled politely.

"Don't worry, Miss Weasley. I've taken extra care of your carriage," he told her with a smirk, before heading off to find a late Ravenclaw.

Ginny took a deep breath at the letter, then shook her head, trying to shake off the bad feeling. "Nothing can spoil my good mood," she said, opening the letter and reading it.

"So..." Harry leaned forward and asked.

"Damn it!" Ginny swore, covering her face with her hands and the letter.

"Is it that bad?" Harry asked, rubbing her hand reassuringly across the table.

She looked up and sighed. "Draco Malfoy." She handed the letter to Harry, and continued to cover her face.

"What?" Ron called. "My sister can't sit with Death Eaters for hours! Absolutely not!"

"I'm sure Ginny will be fine, Ron. It's not ideal who we're sitting with." Hermione sighed, taking another bite of her salad. "Come to think of it, we'll be happily at home at dinnertime tomorrow."

Ginny turned to look at Draco, trying to catch his eye, but he didn't look up.She would not allow him to ruin her journey home.It was her only moment of peace before the noisy holidays began. He finally looked up from the letter, raised his eyebrows, and looked at her with a smirk. After a while, he got up from the table and left the great hall.

"I'll be right back. I left something in Flitwick's classroom." She got up and ran out of the auditorium. After opening the door, she stopped suddenly when she saw Draco casually leaning against the wall.

"Weasley." He greeted her, fiddling with his nails.

"I want to lay down the ground rules on the train," said Ginny, coming up to him with folded arms.

"You need a haircut, honey," he told her, tugging at the ends of her bright red locks. "You're starting to look like a normal half-breed."

She knocked his hand aside and narrowed her eyes. She looked around at the few students passing by, and then took a step closer to him. "No messing around on the way home, Malfoy. Understand?" Her eyes flashed with anger.

"But we're good at messing around. Seriously, that's what we're good at. You know, I love a big show."

"Justin and Luna will sit with us and they'll tell Harry and my mum. I don't want them to hear how I cursed you. Don't make trouble. Don't act. Act like you don't know Don't care about me. Don't talk to me, don't look at me, don't—"

"Don't look at you? But you know, how much your red hair catches my eye." He said with the corner of his mouth raised.

"Listen, I'm not in the mood to play with you."

"Obviously so, but Weasley, you forgot something," he told her, turning to leave. "I've always been in the mood to play with you."

"Malfoy," she called after him, but it was no use, she was going on this crazy train ride whether she liked it or not.

Ginny sighed and slung the handbag over her shoulder. "Where the hell is number 1124?" she complained, continuing to walk down the train aisle.

"Turn left next," said a voice behind her.

His presence made her shudder. "You scared the hell out of me, Malfoy." Ginny pushed the door open and immediately put the bag down.

"Ginny." Luna greeted happily, took off her hat, and tossed her blond hair. She had apparently only recently found the compartment, too. "I'm glad you're sitting with me." Luna patted the seat next to her.

"Get up," Draco commanded Justin Finch, who was sitting in the window seat across from Luna. "I'm number 2, get out of the way."

Justin looked up at Draco uncomfortably. "But I... um..."

"Huh?" Draco stamped impatiently.

"Malfoy," Ginny said through gritted teeth. She narrowed her eyes, warning him not to make a fuss.

"What's wrong? This Hufflepuff took my seat." Draco reached for Justin's arm, trying to pull him up, but Ginny grabbed his hand first.

"What are you doing?" she asked, pushing his arm back.

"Justin gets carsick." Luna explained, patting Justin's knee. Before the train started, he looked like he was going to throw up.

"Okay." Draco said angrily. "Just let that Mudblood take my window seat." He avoided Ginny's eyes and sat down across from her, knowing she was mad at him.

"What are you going to do during your vacation?" Luna asked, looking at a few people in the carriage.

"Don't ask, Luna." Ginny said, shaking her head.

Justin looked out the window, rubbing his eyes from time to time.He glanced at Ginny, and looked away when he caught her sympathetic look.He bit his lip and wiped the tears from his face.

Ginny opened her mouth to say something to Justin when the door to their compartment opened. "Professor." Ginny called the dark-haired man angrily.

"Miss Weasley," said Snape, surveying the small cubicle. "Everyone seems to be in the correct compartment. Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Finlayry, you two are sitting in the wrong seat."

Justin looked around and didn't know what to say, so he looked out of the window again and huddled in the corner as much as possible.

Draco sighed and leaned back in his seat. "It's okay, Professor, we talked about it. He's clearly motion sick," Draco said reluctantly.

"You are very generous, Mr. Malfoy," Snape praised, taking a look at Ginny, who he believed was the cause of this kind gesture. "If you need help, there are prefects in the first compartment of every car. Happy holidays." Snape closed the door and left.

The train started quickly, and the four ignored each other.Luna was reading an old copy of The Quibbler, occasionally laughing or exclaiming at something funny.Justin cast a head-bubbling spell on himself, shaking his head to the music playing inside. He looked out of the window for a while, and at Ginny for a while.Ginny was reading a book on potion theory, her feet propped up on the bench between Justin and Draco. She doesn't care if the boys mind. The carriages usually hold six people, so she thought that was all right.Draco was also reading, but there was no title or author on the cover.

About an hour later, Justin was looking down at his bag for something to eat when he saw Ginny's oxford-clad feet next to him.He noticed her as soon as she put her foot on it, and he didn't mind at all, so he didn't say anything, but he didn't notice Draco's hand.Draco put one hand on her ankle, circling his thumb nonchalantly.Justin immediately looked away, not wanting to attract attention. He looked at Luna, hoping to get her attention, but she was wearing a strange hat that covered the top half of her face. When Justin turned his head, he met Draco's gaze.

"Put your foot down, Weasley," Draco said roughly, pushing her foot off the bench with the very hand that Justin thought he'd seen stroking her.

"Oh, Malfoy," Ginny said, leaning over and massaging her ankle.

"It's not your shack, you can't do whatever you want," Draco sneered, glancing at Justin out of the corner of his eye, as if wondering if he was watching.

"Bastard," Ginny whispered, crossing her legs and continuing to read.

The knock on the door made them all look up.The door opened slowly, and many snacks and colorful candies greeted the eyes.

"Honey, would you like to buy something?" asked the kind woman, waving at the contents of the trolley.

"I'd like two pumpkin pies and a sandwich," Justin said, handing the woman a handful of coins.

"Here, is there anyone else who wants it?" She looked at Luna, who took a bag of chocolates and paid a Galleon.

Draco dismissed the cheap food and looked at Ginny who was rummaging through her bag for her wallet. She rummaged through her purse, then looked up.

"I don't want it," Ginny said to the woman, with a forced smile. When the carriage door closed, she avoided the eyes of others. She picked up the book and immediately began to read again.

There was silence in the carriage, only the sounds of Luna and Justin eating, and the occasional rumbling of Ginny's stomach.Draco opened his schoolbag showing off and took out a bag.Everyone looked at him, but Ginny's eyes widened. He took out a bag of chocolate chip cookies the elves had made; they were the tastiest and most expensive cookies in Honeydukes.

"Ah." Draco grumbled into the bag.

"What's wrong?" Justin asked, wondering what could be wrong with the blond boy's delicious dessert.

"They sent me hazelnut," he said with disgust, glancing at Ginny. "Maybe I should throw them away." He sighed, setting the cookies aside.

"I didn't know they still made hazelnuts," Justin said, looking at the bag. "These are special-"

"I didn't buy them to show you the wrappings, Fenrye," Draco snapped, snatching it from Justin. "It's useless," he muttered. "Give you these nasty biscuits to stop your stomach growling." Draco put them in Ginny's lap and picked up his book again.

"Thank you." Her voice was so soft that she didn't know if he could hear it.Ginny opened the bag, and the compartment was immediately filled with the aroma of chocolate and hazelnuts. She took a bite and sighed happily.

Justin watched the two men, watching their silent exchange.Draco couldn't help but smile as he read the book. The sound Ginny made was almost sexy.Justin blushed a little when he heard her voice.

"Do you like hazelnuts?" Justin asked Ginny, who was grinning as she put another biscuit into her mouth.

"It's my favorite." She nodded.

"What a pleasant coincidence," Justin said pointedly, looking at Draco out of the corner of his eye. "You can't plan ahead, can you, Malfoy? It's a special surprise for Ginny."

"Can you shut up, someone else wants to read." Draco said angrily, giving Justin a nasty look.

"You're always great, Malfoy." Ginny giggled, watching Justin's embarrassed expression.

Draco looked up at her for a moment, then resumed his reading.Justin seemed intent on figuring out what book he was reading, and Draco avoided him. "I just don't want to hear your endless muggle lovers babbling."

"We're talking biscuits, and your biscuits have nothing to do with Muggles," said Ginny, rolling her eyes.

"I wouldn't let you eat my crap if I knew you were going to gossip about how much you love food you can't afford." Draco sneered at her.

"Shut up," Ginny told him, raising her eyebrows. "Don't talk to me like that."

Luna smiled at the two; they were too involved. "Do you think Harry is having trouble in his cubicle? I saw him this morning and he looked tired." She watched Draco's expression as Draco looked at Ginny.

"I'm sure he's fine; Harry is doing fine with everyone," Ginny said, looking deliberately at Draco.

"Saint Potter," Draco murmured.

"Stop it, Malfoy," Justin finally retorted to Draco. "I'm sick of you being such a jerk about everything."

Ginny giggled, and Draco was taken aback. "Justin, I'm impressed with you." She smiled at him, and he blushed.

"I think I'm going to throw up," Draco said angrily, pursing his lips together in disgust. "Swapping places with me, Lovegood?" He started to stand before she looked up.

"Okay, but only because I can see that you have a lot on your mind. You're covered in hooks." She stood up and explained, taking his seat across from Ginny. "I can see you better, Ginny. I like the way the sun hits your hair. Did you know that red hair suggests a keen interest in danger?"

"I don't know, Luna. It's good to know." Ginny nodded, leaning on the seat and stretching her body. "Merlin, I'm so tired." After a few words of agreement in low voices, the four of them fell silent again.

For the first time on this trip, Luna closed her eyes and rested her head against the comfortable cubicle wall. The train rocked gently, and she soon fell asleep.Justin tried to sleep, but found that he could only lean against the window, so he closed his eyes and started thinking wildly.

Draco watched the scenery outside the window, and finally turned his head to observe his companion. He found Luna and Justin motionless, thought they were both asleep, and looked at Ginny. She has been unable to find a comfortable position. She moved again and found Draco watching her.

She looked at the other students in the cubicle and said, "I got hurt yesterday at Quidditch practice. I got a big bruise." She lifted her shirt to show him the redness from the Bludger on the side of her body.

"Damn, it looks like it hurts," he cursed softly, reaching out to touch the edge of the purple skin lightly with two fingers. "Didn't you go to the school hospital to get some bruise ointment?"

She shrugged and put her shirt down. "Ron said it's okay to wait and let mum heal. I don't think I'll do anything today to make it worse, so..."

Draco frowned, glanced at Luna and Justin again, and held out his hand to Ginny. "Come here, honey." He put one leg up on the seat and put his arms around her from behind, holding her back against him.

"Oh, you like me again now." Ginny twisted her body until she found a comfortable position. She leaned her head against his chest.

"I've always liked you, I just couldn't show it," he murmured through her hair, kissing the top of her head. "I have bruises, too, from a naughty little girl in the broom cupboard four days ago."

"Oh, is that? A broom cupboard? Sounds like a s***." Ginny laughed, looking up at him smugly.

"I know. We usually go to my room, but she can't wait any longer," Draco explained, fiddling with the hem of her skirt with one hand. His other arm was wrapped around her, pressed against her stomach, pressed under her hands.

"Yes." Ginny smiled. "I can't wait anymore." She sighed, closed her eyes, and fell into his arms completely. "Did you arrange this?" she asked, looking like she was falling asleep.

"I might have mentioned it to Severus. He's my uncle, after all. He has my interests in mind, and you are mine now."

"Yeah," Ginny said more sleepily. "I think you," she paused and yawned, "maybe have something to do with it. You're the only one who thinks this kind of disaster is a good idea."

"Catastrophe?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow. "I wouldn't call holding you on the way home a disaster."

"I'd call it a disaster when you said I ate your rubbish and my shack," Ginny told him, raising her hand to stroke his cheek.

"I have to put on a show," Draco explained, kissing her hand.

She yawned again, fighting back sleepiness. "That's why I hate being with you when other people are around," she said softly. "You make me feel bad."

Draco frowned, her words making him feel bad. When their relationship first started, she said she understood their need for secrecy. She is willing to keep pretending. "Kim, but you understand?" She ignored him. "I care about you." She didn't speak. "Ginny?" He shook her slightly. "Asleep." He sighed softly, leaning his head against the window, adjusting to a more comfortable position without moving Ginny. He couldn't help but close his eyes, but he hoped that Justin and Luna could keep sleeping.

After a moment of silence in the cubicle, Justin secretly opened one eye.He shivered at the sight of Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley hugging each other intimately. It sounds like they've been dating for a long time.He couldn't imagine someone as lovely as Ginny dating someone as horrible as Draco.Have they maintained this secret relationship for several years? He wanted to clear his throat and tell them he saw it and they could drop the pretense, but he didn't make a sound.

He watched them closely for a while.Everything about them, from her holding his hand to their synchronized breathing, showed that they spent a lot of time together. They're clearly more attached than the average Hogwarts couple. Why should they keep it a secret?Justin opens his mouth to say something, wakes them up, tells them no one cares if they're dating or not.He wanted to comfort them. But as soon as Draco opened his eyes, Justin closed his mouth and pretended to be asleep.

"Gold," Draco said softly, rocking the red-haired girl in his arms. "Honey, you have to get up before anyone wakes up."

"Who cares, Draco?" Ginny grumbled, clasping his fingers and continuing to lie there.

Draco tried to stand up, but he didn't want to wake anyone up. "Get up, please." Draco begged gently, trying to get up again.Seeing her still not moving, he began to feel depressed. "Ginny, get up," he said gruffly to her.

"Just tell everyone." She suggested, taking his hand to her lips and kissing it.Her eyes remained closed.

"I don't want to tell anyone. I never want to tell anyone. Don't you understand?" he said sharply, lowering his voice.

She let go of his hand and sat up, letting him put his legs back on the ground. "I see, Malfoy," she snapped at him, rubbing her sleepy eyes and beginning to rummage in her bag.

"Don't overreact, you'll know what's going on then," he whispered angrily. He looked at Justin and Luna, who were starting to move, and he distanced himself from Ginny before they woke up.

"Slept well." Luna said happily. "I thought Draco's hook would keep me up, but I slept fine. Justin?"

Justin seemed surprised she'd ask him. "Oh—good, I slept well. It was quiet." He nodded furtively.

"Hiding something, Mudblood?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow.

"God, Draco, don't call him that! I'm done! It's disgusting!" Ginny exclaimed, her eyes sparkling. "I'm sorry, Justin," she said softly.

Justin just nodded and smiled at her. "I'm fine," he assured her, but his eyes were as hurt as hers.

Ginny forced a smile, and put what she took out of her bag on her lap.She put the bag back under the seat and picked up the envelope from her lap.She reached behind her neck and took off the necklace. She put it on the envelope, put them together next to her, and stood up. "I'm going to the bathroom," she told them, before leaving.

"You're not very good at expressing feelings, are you, Draco?" Luna asked absently. "You could have been infected with gnats in the cradle; they rob you of emotions."

"I'm not emotionless, lunatic, and I didn't get any infection at home when I was a kid. She just overreacted." Draco replied, looking at where she had been sitting.

Justin stood up and smoothed his uniform pants. "I'm going to see how she is." He was about to leave, but Draco stopped Justin.

"Don't use me to chase girls, Mudblood," Draco said angrily, pushing Justin back in his seat.

Justin gritted his teeth and looked down at the floor, not daring to look anyone in the eye.

"I don't think Ginny would like you to say that, Draco," Luna pointed out, placing her hand on Justin's knee again.

"Why do I care what she thinks? You don't really think I care what a loser who likes Muggles thinks?" Draco laughed.

"We get it, Malfoy, you're a heartless bastard. I'm going to see how Ginny is doing, because unlike you, I have empathy." Justin said forcefully, and he stood up again. Get up, this time really leave. He slammed the door shut, it bounced slightly, then closed again.

Luna looked at Draco blankly.Despite the tense atmosphere in the cramped cubicle, she had a smile on her face and seemed content. She watched as Draco put his elbows on his knees, put his hands over his face, and pulled at his blond hair.

"What's wrong?" Draco snapped, finally looking at her.

"You're beautiful," Luna said, singing. "Energetic, layered, and fun. I bet you and Ginny can spend a lot of time together without getting bored."

"We're not staying together," Draco told her, finally looking down at the letter and necklace.

"A lot of boys like Ginny," Luna said, watching Draco with big blue eyes. "They asked her out and she kept saying no. I thought maybe she didn't like boys, but it made sense."

Draco didn't look up at Luna.He gripped the gold necklace tightly and watched his fingers slowly turn purple.

"She's really nice." Luna paused to see if he'd be sarcastic about her, like why wouldn't she date her if she liked Ginny so much, but he didn't say anything. "You're going to lose her," Luna said finally.

Her words hang in the air.It was quiet in the compartment except for the sound of the train.

Draco rubbed his forehead, tightened his jaw, and finally met Luna's eyes. "Unfortunately, I believe I have lost her." He stood up with his things, put the necklace back on Ginny's seat, and picked up the letter beside it.

"Where are you going? When she comes back, you can apologize." Luna said to him, tugging at the sleeve of his school uniform. She looked up at him like a hopeful child.

He held up the letter. "She wants to break up with me." He put on his schoolbag and opened the door to leave.

"But you have to stay! This is your cubicle," Luna insisted, looking at him with an innocent look that only she could show.

"I'm the Head Boy, and I think I can find somewhere else to sit. I'll probably go to the prefects car," Draco told her.

As he started walking to the next carriage, the door to the first compartment opened, and a familiar Ravenclaw girl poked her head out.

"Oh, Mr. Malfoy," she stammered, blushing. "You can't leave your cubicle until the trip is over."

"No, I have to sit somewhere else," he told her, continuing to walk towards her.

"Oh, you can sit here with me, but if you leave this car, I'll have to report you," she told him, smiling faintly.

He exhaled, considered his options, then squeezed into her cubicle, placing his things on the seat across from her.She was alone in the quiet cubicle. He should be doing his job instead of thinking about what else he could do right in his relationship with Ginny.

Draco collapsed into the seat closest to the window and closed his eyes immediately. He felt restless and tired. If he held a certain position for too long, he would think of Ginny and feel he needed to move, to get her out of his mind. What a fool he was to think they could have a happy ending. To his dismay, they'd been dating for a full year in two weeks. He never owned anything for a whole year.To be able to hang on to something so precious for so long is an achievement for him.

His arm pricked. He was used to this, but, with his sudden sensitivity, it seemed to spread through him.Draco looked down at his left arm, frowning.Another factor that contributed to the tension between him and Ginny was his activities during the summer. He still remembered back in July when he'd sneaked out to meet her two days after getting the Dark Mark. She cried for nearly an hour.He thought she was about to break up with him then, but he misunderstood her tears. She apologized to him.She told him that she wished she could do something to help him.She said it was unfair to him.

None of his friends could accept it.Blaise ignored him for nearly two months before relenting and listening to Draco; he, like any Gryffindor, didn't want the Dark Mark, but he had no choice.

She is not only his girlfriend, but also his good friend.Sometimes it felt like she was his only friend.

He looked down at the envelope in his hand, swallowed his nervousness, and opened it.

Draco,

Our relationship is on the verge of breaking down, and I've thought so for a while.I'm studying for NEWTs, you're dealing with other more serious issues.I used to go to you when I was stressed, and you always calm me down.Lately, hiding our relationship has been a pain in the ass.I don't know if you think you need to prove yourself to your fellow housemates, but I think you take it out on me because you know I will always forgive you.I can't do this anymore. Our relationship is now the biggest source of stress in my life.I hate lying to my friends and family all the time.I'm afraid of what you'll do on the train.I worry about how you will treat me when we are in public.I can't keep pretending this doesn't hurt me anymore. If you make a move that I'm afraid to show up for, then I can't go on like this.I hope that when we meet in the hallway in the future, you will just walk past me and ignore me.Maybe in the future we will have a chance to do it all over again, not in such a sneaky way.

金妮

He folded the letter, put it back in the envelope, and put it in his bag.He felt pain in his eyes, something he hadn't felt in months.

"Are you okay?" the girl asked softly, obviously nervous around him.

"I'm fine." He replied immediately, and was about to continue looking out of the window, when a face he was very familiar with appeared by the window of the cubicle.

The Ravenclaw prefect looked up and smiled as Harry Potter walked past, haughtily as usual. She seemed to have no problem with him wandering around like the master of the train.

"Shouldn't he be in his cubicle?" Draco snapped, getting up and walking to the door, wanting to punish him himself.

"Oh, he's fine." The girl replied with a shrug.

"So the Head Boy can't just walk around, but the guy with the scar on his head can do whatever he wants." Draco nodded sarcastically. He opened the door and walked out. "Get back to your cubicle, Potter!" Draco hadn't yelled at anyone like that in a long time; it felt good.

Harry turned around, smirking. "Just stopping by to see a friend. It won't take more than a minute," he said to Draco, and continued on to Draco's original cubicle.

"Potter, if you go into that cell, you'll be locked up for a month when we come back," Draco threatened, squinting angrily.

Harry was about to answer when the door to the dressing room opened and Ginny walked down the hall.Draco turned to see what Harry was looking at, only to find Ginny standing there.

"Kim, we're almost here, and I want to get you a Christmas present a little early." Harry said, walking towards Draco, wanting to be with Ginny.

Draco stepped into the hallway, standing between Harry and her. "Go back to your cubicle," Draco ordered, jaw clenched angrily.

Harry pulled a long black velvet box from his coat pocket and smiled at Draco. "Soon," he said to the Slytherin, trying to squeeze past him.

Draco took the opportunity to push Harry back.Harry sat down on the ground.

"Draco!" Ginny reproached, pushing past him and crouching down beside Harry. "How are you?" She helped Harry to his feet and shot Draco a look.

"Can we find a place to talk alone?" Harry put his arm around Ginny's shoulders and whispered in her ear.

She met Draco's eyes, then dropped her gaze. "I'm not feeling well, Harry. I'd like to sit down for a while." She shook off his arm and headed for her cubicle.

Harry followed her, ignoring Draco's previous threats, and walked into her cubicle as well. "What's wrong?" he asked, sitting down beside her.Feeling something under his ass, he lifted up slightly and pushed it aside.

Ginny picked it up; it was the necklace she had kept with Draco's letter earlier. "Wait, get up, Harry," she said, tugging at his arm.

He was confused, but did it anyway. After she let him go and checked his seat, he sat down again. "What's wrong?"

"He took the letter." Luna said to Ginny, reading the book Draco had just read. She smiled and looked at Harry, then at Ginny. "I've always found you cute, Ginny. Not everyone has a choice. My mother often said to me, even if everything seems reasonable to those around you, don't assume it's true for you It should be reasonable. And vice versa. What is unreasonable to other people may not be unreasonable to you." She put down the book with a smile. "It's a Muggle novel about two star-crossed lovers at war."

Harry looked at Luna with a perplexed expression, as usual. After a while, he shook his head, thinking she was talking crazy. "Anyway," said Harry, picking up the gift he had just been trying to give Ginny.
