Chapter 10 Chapter III
As soon as he arrived at the office, he was dispatched by the director to pick up the new intern in the editor's office.
She still doesn't know the director's virtue. After so many years, the director of the interns in the editorial room has never taken care of it personally. They are always carried around by his subordinates, and the director just concentrates on doing his own work.
I was still thinking as I walked, maybe this year's intern should be brought by myself.
As soon as she walked into the editor-in-chief's office, she saw L wearing a dark brown double-breasted coat.It turned out that she was an intern.
N and L looked at each other, and the editor-in-chief waved his right hand while holding the cup: "Go, go, take it with you. Hey, last time your nutrition manual—you can give her a hand first."
The editor-in-chief talked to n again, and l was very close to n, and smelled a very faint scent of perfume. She secretly sniffed and listened to n talking to the editor-in-chief.
"Let's go?"
L came back to his senses and saw that N had already walked to the door, looking back at himself.
She hastened to follow up: "Hey, good."
The corridor on the third floor is very long, with doors on both sides. Occasionally, there will be a waist-high green plant at the door, against the snow-white wall.
The patio doors at both ends of the corridor are open, and drafts blow in from time to time, drying the wet marks from the mop on the floor.
N stopped, and pushed open a dark lacquered wooden door with the words "Second Edition Room" hanging on it.
As soon as the door opened, L immediately began to look around.
The office is quite large, with four desks inside the door. The visible space is filled with books, and almost all sides of the room are covered with bookshelves.
Have they really read all these books? l Looking at the large and small books piled up in all directions, I thought to myself, how can I read them all?
The director raised his head from under the computer behind the pile of books, pushed his glasses and looked at l.
"Oh, here we come." The director looked around: "There are no empty tables."
Speaking of which, the director stood up, glanced behind a row of bookshelves, and shouted, "Is there any room behind?"
There was a faint "no" sound.
L stared at him, but he didn't expect there to be someone behind the bookshelf.
"Hey, forget it, this place is too small and there is no room." The director thought for a while: "You go to the review room and forget it."
Hey?
L glanced at n, and n had already sat back in his seat, put on a pair of glasses, and took out a thick stack of manuscripts.
"This time... it's up to you to take it." The director turned his eyes around and landed on N: "Take it well, don't teach bad people's children."
There was a burst of giggling in the office, and N glanced at the director: "You are so lazy."
The director raised his eyebrows and smiled, noncommittal.
L looked at N expectantly, and leaned over to the table: "Sister, what am I going to do?"
In fact, she should call n as a teacher, but n looks so good-looking that she called "sister" for some reason.
n glanced at her.
"Well," after a long time, n sorted out two stacks of manuscripts, picked them up and put them in l's hands, "you take these."
Really a little heavy. L's arms dropped, struggling to hold the manuscript.
"Come with me to the review room, I'll find you a seat." N said softly, and pushed open the door.
l quickly followed, walking behind n.
N's back looked slender and tall, and as he walked, L was distracted again.
When he walked to the door of the review room, N looked back at her. L and her looked at each other for half a second: "Huh?"
