Chapter 19 XVII Things Not Worth It

"Student? Student?" Suddenly came a sloppy English sentence from behind, and Ji Yusheng turned around to find a foreigner with a bushy beard who was forgetting him suspiciously.I don't know if it was covered by the beard, but his mouth didn't seem to move when he spoke.

"Why... standing here? Are... astudentofartfaculty?" With his thick accent, Ji Yusheng could barely understand a few words, but he didn't fully understand the whole sentence, and he didn't know how to answer it.

Seeing this, the other party walked a step further and asked again with a raised voice. Just when Ji Yusheng was at a loss, there was a sound of moving the table in a panic from inside the door.

Shi Yu finally opened the door, and Shi Yu, who appeared in the crack of the door, sighed silently when he saw the foreigner opposite Ji Yusheng, then opened the door and walked out, chatting with the foreigner face to face.

Shi Yu smiled and said enthusiastically:

"Dr Watson, good evening!"

"Little Yu!" The foreigner who had been frowning at Ji Yusheng stretched his brows like spring branches when he saw Shi Yu.

"This is a professor from the Academy of Fine Arts, from France." Shi Yu quietly told Ji Yusheng while the professor was greeting him.

"What are you doing?" the foreigner asked Shi Yu this time with a Chinese accent.

"Painting." Shi Yu replied, pointing to the paint on his face.

"I can understand you, it's great to draw at night when the inspiration is flowing! I used to-"

When the professor was answering with a smile, he suddenly saw the black paint on his hand, and then his eyes changed, as if he found tiny moth tooth marks on the surface of the mouth-wateringly bright fruit.

"Are you painting the night and the fall again?" the professor asked seriously, frowning.

Shi Yu suddenly shook his shoulders like a thief who has been exposed as a villain, gave Ji Yusheng a panicked look, and immediately waved his hands frantically.

"No, no, I'm not like that anymore."

The professor's expression, which had been tense like a bow and arrow, relaxed, and said with a trace of pity:

"You are suitable for the light, not for the night. The night will corrupt you and destroy you."

"Your sunflower paintings always amaze me. You should stick to it. You have to know where your talent is, and don't be blinded by other things."

The professor's words didn't make sense to Ji Yusheng, but Shi Yu became visibly uneasy, and his breathing became short of breath.

He stopped the professor's pouring words, and hurriedly said:

"Okay I know, I'm not doing that now. I'm drawing sunflowers!"

He pushed the professor by the shoulder to urge him to leave.

"Okay, my painting is not finished yet, let's talk next time!"

Shi Yu pushed the professor of the Academy of Fine Arts away slowly, and Ji Yusheng couldn't hear what the professor was muttering non-stop, but only vaguely heard that it wasn't worth it.

What exactly is not worth it?Is it painting?or something else?
