[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 082 Lady Gray

Eleanor followed closely behind Tom, "Where are we going?"

"Remember Bloody Barrow?" Tom said hurriedly with his eyes straight ahead, "At the Halloween ball in the first grade, he only responded to what you said alone. Now I know why."

"Why?" Eleanor asked in surprise, why did he suddenly bring up the matter of the bloody Barrow now?

Tom glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, "Because you look very much like a human being."

"Who?"

"You'll see her soon," Tom answered.

After a few minutes, they stopped in front of a deserted corridor.

Eleanor had seldom visited this part of the castle before. It is very close to the tower of Ravenclaw, and the spire of the tower of Ravenclaw can be seen from the window.

"She should be around here," said Tom in a low voice.

"Who exactly are you talking about?"

Tom stopped suddenly, and Eleanor almost ran into his back.

She saw a female ghost in a long skirt passing through the front wall to a French window. She turned around, obviously noticing Eleanor and the others.

Eleanor had seen her once or twice, but had never known her name. She never stays with other ghosts, just like the bloody Baron likes to be alone.

She was floating in the air, watching them both from the bottom of her eyes, "It's you, Slytherin boy. What do you want to talk to me about today?"

"I'm sorry to disturb you, Ms. Gray," Tom said softly, looking up. "I just thought you might want to see her."

When Tom had finished speaking, he stretched out his hand and took Eleanor's arm.Eleanor looked at his profile suspiciously.

Ms. Gray's gaze fell on Eleanor, and she narrowed her eyes slightly, "I know who you are. You are Alford, the ghost who brought the dead back to life. I have been thinking, how did you do it? "

"I don't know, maybe because I'm lucky?" Eleanor replied.

"Nonsense." The female ghost sneered. She looked Eleanor up and down, "Come closer, Alford."

Tom pushed Eleanor behind her.

Eleanor watched Lady Gray, who was not afraid of her, for she had been a ghost herself. Moreover, there was no malice in Ms. Gray's expression.

So Eleanor took a few steps forward slowly.

Ms. Gray lowered her height a little. She stared at Eleanor for a long time before sighing suddenly, "Someone mentioned to me that you really look a bit like me when I was a teenager."

Lady Gray had long, beautiful curly hair, and her eyebrows were as long and bushy as Eleanor's.If you insist, the two of them do have some similarities.

"Bloody Barrow only talks to her," Tom whispered behind Eleanor.

Ms. Gray's calm expression immediately loosened, and her eyes flickered.

"Really? So he still remembers me." She said coldly, "Yes, of course he will remember everything. This is his punishment."

As Ms. Gray spoke, she suddenly floated up again, and her eyes looked around between Eleanor and Tom, "So, you two are a pair of lovers?"

"Yes, we are," Tom admitted softly. His eyes were fixed on Ms. Gray's expression, as if he wanted to get some information from it.

Ms. Gray suddenly snorted, she stared at Eleanor and said: "If I were you, I wouldn't trust the man in front of me so much. Men will never really love you, they will only do everything possible to want to possess you Everything about you will even do things you never imagined."

Having said that, a trace of anger suddenly appeared on her expression.

Tom looked up at her, and said quietly, "I will not treat her as the Bloody Barrow has treated you. The Bloody Barrow is furious at not having you, and he is a cruel and stupid Man. But I would never do that."

The anger on Ms. Gray's face gradually subsided a lot.

"Maybe...maybe not all men are like him." She said sadly. "But I deserve it. If I hadn't run away from home, maybe all this would not have happened."

As she spoke, she looked at Eleanor again, her eyes full of sadness and nostalgia.

"At that time, I was just an ignorant and reckless girl, thinking that if I got my mother's crown, I would get everything she had."

Eleanor felt Tom's hand tightening on her arm suddenly, and she couldn't help groaning in pain.

"Crown?" Tom asked back, almost casually, but there was a trembling eagerness in his voice.

Ms. Gray did not recognize the strangeness in Tom's voice. She looked lost in her own memories.

"Yes, my mother is Rowena Ravenclaw." She said softly, "She has everything, including beauty, wisdom and fame. And I can only live humblely as her daughter... I can't tell if the people around me respect me just because I'm a Ravenclaw daughter."

As she spoke, a trace of resentment suddenly appeared on her expression.

"My mother, it wasn't enough that she had everything, she didn't allow me to have what I deserved. So I stole her crown and flew away with it."

"You've done nothing wrong," Tom whispered with a sigh. "I can understand how you feel."

Lady Gray turned to look at him.

Tom went on quietly: "Your mother should pass on her wisdom to you. After all, you are her only daughter. That crown should be yours, and no one is more entitled to it than you."

"Yes, that's exactly what I thought," said Ms. Gray sadly. "It's a pity that she didn't understand it at all. If she had understood it earlier, nothing would have happened. Before she died of illness , she sent a man to look for me."

"That man is Barrow the Bloody Man," Tom said.

"Yes, that's him. Like I told you last time, he wanted me to go back with him and kept telling me how much he loved me. When I refused him, he got so angry that he stabbed me to death." ’ said Ms Gray coldly.

"That's too bad," said Eleanor sympathetically. "Maybe he's just possessive of you."

"He's a really irascible man," sighed Tom. "I hope he didn't break the diadem in a fit of rage."

Ms. Gray shook her head slightly. "He didn't. I hid the diadem in an empty tree in the Romanian forest, and it was impossible for anyone to find it again."

"But you don't want to be like your mother, do you?" Tom said at once. "You should pass the crown on to those who really need it, instead of letting it never see the light of day."

"I won't give it to just anyone," said Lady Gray, frowning. "It's Ravenclaw's crown, and there are too many people who want it. I can't just hand it over. "

"You can pass it on to your descendants," said Tom.

"Descendants? I have no descendants." Ms. Gray said coldly, "Have you not read the historical records? I was murdered before I got married, so there is no way I can have any descendants."

"Yes, you have no heirs." Tom said calmly, "But the Ravenclaw family has descendants. I checked the information. Two centuries ago, there was a family that was confirmed to be descendants of Ravenclaw in Germany. Wen County settled down, and then they mixed with Muggles for a while. I believe their descendants are now scattered in many parts of England, and they can no longer be traced."

"What's the use of saying that?" Ms. Gray asked coldly.

"But I found some clues. One of their branch families went to settle in a Muggle village in Yorkshire, which is Eleanor's hometown."

"You don't mean to say that this girl is a descendant of Ravenclaw," Ms. Gray said mockingly.

"That's exactly what I'm going to say," said Tom. "She looks so much like you. Can't she prove something? If you must see the evidence, I can give you the information I have gathered."

Eleanor said in amazement: "What are you talking about, Tom?! Isn't that—"

Tom put his arm around her shoulders and whispered in her ear quickly through the teeth, "Shh, don't talk."

Lady Gray was silent for a moment. "So you want me to hand her the diadem?"

"Yes." Tom sighed again, his voice gradually deepening, making his words sound very sincere and believable.

"It's okay if you don't want to... I just thought it might make you feel better if you did."

Lady Gray's eyes were looking out of the window, and she sighed silently as she gazed at the Ravenclaw towers.

"That thing has been weighing heavily on my heart like a shackle..." she said, "You're right, maybe it's time to hand it over."

She turned her head to look at Eleanor who was still surprised.

"As for you, girl, maybe you're a Ravenclaw, maybe you're not," sighed Lady Gray, "but I see a shadow of myself in you. A crown doesn't make you wise, it It can only bring you endless troubles. Even so, if you insist on getting it, go to the forest in the direction I said to find it.”

Finally, they got the method to find the hollow tree from Ms. Gray.

On the way back, Eleanor said curiously: "Hey, Tom, you don't think I'm really a descendant of Ravenclaw, do you?"

"Oh, you said that," said Tom casually. "Of course I was talking nonsense."

"I knew it!" said Eleanor disapprovingly. "You tricked a poor ghost, well, and almost fooled me--just barely."

"Don't be silly, Eleanor, of course she knows it's not true," replied Tom, smiling. "Don't you see that? She's been meaning to hand over the diadem for a long time, so as to free herself from the regret of betraying her mother." Yes. She just hasn't made up her mind. I just gave her a good excuse to convince herself."

"Then what are you going to do with the Ravenclaw diadem?" Eleanor said.

"I won't sell it." Tom replied with a chuckle. "I just like to collect historical things. It's like a hobby."

"Then you should also get the relics of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, so that you have a whole set of founder's relics." Eleanor said half-jokingly, "Maybe they are four What do you put together—you know, like a treasure hunt jigsaw puzzle.”

A small smile appeared on the corner of Tom's mouth, "Yes, if I have the chance, of course I will."

"Great, then you will definitely get rich." Eleanor shrugged and said, "Remember to share a piece of the pie with me."

When approaching the common room, Tom stopped suddenly.

"Promise me one thing, Eleanor." Tom looked down into Eleanor's eyes and said softly, "You just said that you would promise me the second thing. Now I've made up my mind."

Eleanor met his deep black eyes, and she could hardly look away.

"What's the matter?" she asked softly.

"That's... never leave me," Tom whispered.

Eleanor's vision suddenly dimmed, and then she felt her lips were gently blocked by soft lips.

"You're cheating. Your requirements are much more demanding than mine." She held onto Tom's shoulders tightly and whispered while rubbing his lips, "But...I promise you."

After she finished speaking, she stretched out her arms and hugged him actively. She felt her heart beating violently in her chest slowly calm down. She buried her face in Tom's shoulder contentedly, and muttered under her breath, "I'm not leaving you, Tom, never..."

After she finished speaking, she suddenly felt a strange dizziness. She swayed a bit, resting her weight entirely on Tom's body.Desperately trying to stay awake, she looked up at the blurred face, "I'm a little sleepy, Tom... I think I should go to sleep..."

Before she finished speaking, she slowly closed her eyes.

"Eleanor?" Tom called her name in a panic, but she didn't wake up.
