[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 078 Eleanor's Jealousy

On Sunday evening, Abraxas stood in the hallway waiting patiently for something. After some time, he finally saw Tom coming out of Professor Slughorn's office.

So he strode over and met the surprised gaze of the black-haired boy.

"Tom, I need to talk to you," he said.

"What do you want to talk to me about, Abraxas?" said Tom dryly.

Abraxas knew what he meant. They had barely spoken before, and hadn't seen much of each other.

"I want to talk to you about Eleanor." Abraxas said.

Tom frowned slightly.

This subtle movement was captured by Abraxas.Well, the topic really piqued Tom's interest.he thought.

"I don't think our business has anything to do with you," said Tom quietly.

"Your matter?" Abraxas narrowed his eyes slightly, "What happened between you?"

Tom let out a mocking chuckle, his eyes fixed on Abraxas's face, as if to see through his mind, "Why do you care about this?"

Abraxas knew that he couldn't let the other party take the lead in the conversation, otherwise he would only be led by the nose.So he didn't answer Tom's question directly, but said: "Eleanor is my friend, and she needs to be with someone who can really care about her. And that person—unfortunately, I don't think it will be you."

"Sorry, I'm not interested in this topic." Tom said indifferently, his smile began to loosen a little, and there was a hint of impatience in his expression, "If you don't mind, please step aside, I have to go Go to the Potions classroom and get something."

"Of course." Abraxas turned sideways to let him pass.He watched Tom's back and muttered in a low voice, "Eleanor is our friend, and I won't let you take her away."

Eleanor thought for a long time, and finally decided to take the initiative to talk to Tom about what happened that day.

"He shouldn't be sullen because of such a little misunderstanding." She thought to herself.

Monday afternoon class is Muggle Studies.Eleanor chose this course simply because she felt she had enough advantages. But Avery and Tom didn't choose it, and in fact, Eleanor was the only Slytherin house student currently in the class.

Eleanor drowsily listened to the professor's explanation of the parts of Muggle science that were contrary to magic, and her mind was dazed thinking about how to resolve the misunderstanding with Tom.

On her way to the Great Hall after class, she happened to see Tom with two other Ravenclaw girls. They were standing in front of a stained-glass window talking happily.

Tom was leaning sideways on the window facing Eleanor, with a faint smile on his face.

Some people are born with attractive qualities.Tom is the most typical example, and this is largely due to his handsome appearance.

Eleanor hadn't paid much attention to his appearance before, and she didn't like to judge a person by his appearance.

But when she saw Tom standing in the dim light from the stained glass, smiling with his head down, she stopped and felt her heart beat violently.

damn it.She clutched her chest to keep herself calm.

Then she noticed the expressions of the two girls. You could see from their profiles that they were staring at Tom fascinated.

The two girls were clearly attracted only by Tom's appearance.Eleanor bet they didn't even pay attention to what he was saying. They approached him just to get a closer look at that face.

Eleanor hesitated for a moment.Tom didn't notice her presence, but continued talking to the two girls.

At this moment, the two girls giggled suddenly. The smile on Tom's face became more obvious, perhaps because of the effect of the light, Eleanor always felt that the smile was a bit harsh.

When Eleanor reacted, she was already standing in front of those three people.

Tom was the first to notice her.The smile on his face immediately subsided, and he said a little coldly, "Good afternoon, Eleanor."

The other two girls immediately turned their heads to stare at Eleanor, as if they were looking at an intruder.

"Hi, Tom," said Eleanor, wondering, somewhat bewilderedly, what was she doing just now?

"Are you okay?" One of the girls said, with a hint of hostility in her tone.

"I have business with him." Eleanor nodded at Tom. "Can I talk to you alone?"

The other girl was more hostile, saying in an aggressive tone, "Oh, I'm so sorry—don't you see we're talking?"

Tom stared at Eleanor silently, and at the same time there was a slight smile on the corner of his mouth, as if he was very interested in their ongoing conversation.

Eleanor looked at the girl not to be outdone.

The girl had beautiful long golden-brown hair and wheat-colored skin, and—

Eleanor's eyes moved a little below.

Moreover, she also has a very slender waist and proud chest.

Well, she does have a little bit of pride. It's a pity she looks like an uneducated fool, Eleanor thought maliciously, presumably she's giving all her brains to hair, nails, and keeping in shape.

Thinking of this, Eleanor was suddenly secretly a little surprised, because she had never judged a stranger so maliciously before.

"Forgive my rudeness, but why are you still standing here?" the domineering girl stared at Eleanor and said.

Eleanor couldn't help lowering her evaluation of this girl again, thinking that she was just an arrogant and arrogant bastard. Then Eleanor said: "I'd be glad to join your conversation, if you don't mind. What are you talking about?"

"We're talking about a research topic in arithmetic and divination." The girl looked up and down Eleanor contemptuously, "I remember you didn't take this course, did you?"

Only ghosts believe that they are discussing arithmetic divination!Could arithmetic divination make them giggle too?Eleanor thought angrily.

She looked at Tom, hoping he would have something to say.

But Tom still leaned against the wall without saying a word, the corners of his mouth slightly curled up in a mocking smile that was infuriating.

"Okay, arithmetic and divination." Eleanor had undisguised annoyance on her face, "Then I will stand here and wait for you to finish talking."

As she spoke, she stood with folded arms and stared at them.

The two girls looked at each other in surprise.

"Sorry, time is running out," Tom finally said. He smiled and lowered his head to face the two girls, but his eyes turned to Eleanor's direction vaguely, "I think you probably don't want to Miss dinner. We'll discuss this next time we have time."

"...Okay, let's do it next time."

"Goodbye, Tom."

The two girls looked reluctant to leave.

"Where does your anger come from, Eleanor?" whispered Tom, coming up, with the slight smile still on his lips.

"Angry? I don't have any anger." Eleanor said coldly, putting down her arms.

Tom fixed Eleanor's eyes firmly, and suddenly held out a hand to her.

Eleanor immediately stiffened.

Afterwards, Tom gently pulled her fallen hair behind her ears, and then moved closer to Eleanor's cheek.

He looked ahead over Eleanor's shoulder and met the boy's eyes at the end of the corridor.

"What are you doing?" Eleanor whispered.

"It's nothing." Tom whispered in her ear, his eyes still fixed on the front, smiling at the shocked boy, "I miss you, Eleanor."

"But don't we see each other every day?" Eleanor whispered hoarsely, her ears turning red.

"But we don't do that every day," Tom said softly. He suddenly lowered his head and placed a soft kiss on Eleanor's lips.

The boy at the end of the corridor immediately took a step back, with a panicked expression on his face, and then ran away without looking back.

"This is the corridor!" Eleanor pushed Tom violently, and she felt her cheeks were almost hot enough to fry eggs. "What are you thinking?"

"It's nothing." Tom withdrew his gaze, and at the same time, an unknown light flashed in his eyes.He raised one corner of his mouth high, glanced at Eleanor's flushed cheeks, then turned around and strode forward.

Eleanor stood there a little dazedly for a few seconds, then quickly followed.

"So you're not angry because of what happened last time?" Eleanor put her hands behind her back and turned her head to observe Tom's expression.

Tom still smiled slightly, and there was even a hint of joy in his tone, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"It was last time, in Hogsmeade..." Eleanor stopped in the middle of speaking, because she saw that Tom's expression still didn't change slightly.

Maybe he really didn't care about that at all?thought Eleanor.

"What?" Tom raised his eyebrows a little, then gave a short chuckle, and said in a slightly mocking tone, "Oh, Eleanor, you're just out for a butterbeer with a friend, and I won't because It's such a small thing to get angry."

"Really?" Eleanor looked at him suspiciously, "but I saw you the other day—outside the window. You didn't look dead at all, and you shook me Take a moment, what does that mean?"

"It means, I don't mind, you can go on with your business." Tom replied calmly.

Eleanor stared at him for a few seconds, but didn't see any flaws. So she sighed and whispered, "Well, if you insist on saying that."

Abraxas ran forward panting, not even knowing where he was going.

He finally stopped in front of a tapestry, panting heavily while leaning on the wall.

He had just witnessed Eleanor and Tom kissing, but until now he could not quite believe it was true.

He closed his eyes and leaned against the wall, trying to get his breathing even.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" he said to himself, then fell into a daze.

Eleanor was glad that Tom hadn't misunderstood her relationship with Avery. So all she has to do now is try to restore her friendship with Avery.

But she also knew that might not be possible.Because when she rejected him in person for the second time, their friendship was doomed to an end.

She paced back and forth at the door of the boys' dormitory, full of struggle and anxiety.Just when she was about to turn around and go back to the girls' dormitory, Avery's voice suddenly came from behind her.
