[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 057 The Joy of Rebirth

Eleanor stuffed a large piece of pumpkin pie into her mouth and looked up at everyone, "Why are you all staring at me?"

"Probably because we haven't seen a ghost that can eat." Avery said, staring at her blankly.

"Really?" Eleanor said, chewing something in her mouth, "Well, this pie is as delicious as I imagined." She said, pouring herself a glass of lime juice while everyone was watching, and then Gulp down most of the glass.

"Okay, everyone, let's go." Principal Dippet was the first to react. He raised his hand and said to the others, "Tom, Avery, you go back to class first."

Tom left the ward without looking back after hearing this. And Avery stared at Eleanor for a few seconds, hesitating to speak, and finally turned around and left quickly.

"I'm going to sort out the rest of the recovery potion, maybe I can use it in the future." Mr. Martin muttered, and turned to leave the ward.

After Eleanor finished eating, another poor student who was petrified finally woke up.As head of Gryffindor House, Professor Dumbledore took over the task of taking care of him and explaining everything to him.

Principal Dippet sat beside Eleanor, watching her patiently as she wiped away the food residue from the corner of her mouth, "Miss Alford, how do you feel?"

"I feel so good, it's like being born again." Eleanor said half-jokingly, "Oh, God, you don't know how long I haven't eaten."

Dippet watched Eleanor carefully. Her body seemed to be no different from that of ordinary people, no longer pearly white, but a normal entity.

"It's a miracle," murmured Headmaster Dippet. "I've never heard of ghosts coming back to life."

"Resurrection?" Eleanor repeated the word, blinking. "How do I look now?"

"It's no different from ordinary people." Principal Dippet replied.

Eleanor raised her hand, put it in front of her eyes, and moved her fingers tentatively. They weren't milky and opaque, they just looked a little paler than she remembered.

"Am I really not a ghost anymore?" she muttered, still not quite believing the fact.

Dippet coughed lightly and interrupted Eleanor's trance, "Tell me, Miss Alford, what happened?"

"Oh, we found the Chamber of Secrets." Eleanor put down her hands and said.

"What? What did you say?" Dippet stared at Eleanor and said in surprise, as if to make sure that his ears were not hallucinating.

"It's the legendary chamber of secrets." Eleanor said, "Tom and I discovered the entrance together."

She briefly talked about how she broke into the secret room alone, and at the same time, she did not forget to describe the terrifying monster in detail.

"Yes, I saw it too." The boy next to the hospital bed said hoarsely, "A big snake with yellow eyes."

"Basilisk." Dumbledore whispered when he came to Eleanor's bedside.

Headmaster Dippet said in surprise, "You mean the basilisk of 'Despicable Helbo'? But that kind of creature hasn't appeared in England for a long time."

"But if it was a basilisk, everything would make sense," Dumbledore replied. "Anyone who is stared at by a basilisk would die instantly, but both Nicholas and Eleanor saw it only indirectly, so they Just petrified."

"Through the glass," the boy named Nicholas replied palely. "I was standing in front of an open French window and saw the thing through the glass."

"I saw it through the water on the ground," whispered Eleanor.

"So we now have a basilisk that's free to crawl around in our school?" Dippet said hoarsely, getting up from his chair. Call an emergency meeting immediately."

"Okay." Dumbledore turned and left immediately.

"Have a good rest." Dippet said to the two of them, and he turned to Eleanor. "If you think of anything else, just come to me, Miss Alford."

"I will, Mr. Headmaster," replied Eleanor.

After everyone left, Eleanor sighed and lay down again.

She tossed and turned on the bed boredly, finally looked at the bed next door, and said, "By the way, what's your name?"

"Nicholas Potter," the boy replied, looking hard at Eleanor and grinning. "I've never seen a ghost come back to life."

"Me neither," replied Eleanor.

The boy immediately laughed.

So the two of them started talking to each other sentence by sentence to pass the time.

When they left the school hospital the next day, they were already very close, like two good friends who have known each other for a long time. This is probably because the two of them have very similar personalities.

"Then, I hope to have the opportunity to spend time with you in the future." Nicholas said with a smile at Eleanor.

"Me too," Eleanor replied.

The sunshine coming in from the window shone warmly on her face, and she felt happier than ever before, and a bright smile appeared on her face.

She turned away to go back to the Slytherin common room first. But she saw Avery standing not far away, staring at herself in a daze.

"Hi, Avery." She waved her hand up.

Avery opened his eyes wide as if he had suddenly come to his senses, then coughed lightly and walked over quickly.

"You look--very well," he said in a low husky voice.

"Really? Thank you." Eleanor grinned.

"By the way, who was that guy just now?" Avery asked casually.

"Who? Oh, you mean Nicholas?" Eleanor replied. "He's the petrified boy."

"Oh." Avery frowned slightly, "I don't remember what he looks like."

After returning to the common room, almost everyone stretched their necks and stared at Eleanor.

Eleanor didn't care about their gazes at all, but waved and nodded to them.So they soon stopped staring at her and went about their business.

Eleanor followed Avery into the boys' dormitory door.As before, she walked into their single bedroom with a graciousness, and sat down on Avery's bed without ceremony.

She turned her gaze to the opposite side, and suddenly found a pictorial of a blonde sexy woman pasted on the opposite wall. The woman in the pictorial is winking her right eye at Eleanor playfully.

Eleanor frowned suspiciously—how could she not remember Tom having such a hobby?

She soon realized that the occupant of the bed opposite had probably changed.

"Avery, where's Tom?" she asked.

Hearing Eleanor's question, Avery seemed a little agitated. He stood aside with his arms folded, and said bluntly, "He's not my roommate anymore."

"Why?" Eleanor asked in surprise.

"Because he applied to change the dormitory." Avery replied coldly.

"But why would he do that?"

"Who knows, maybe he wants to have more opportunities to hang out with his group of...friends." Avery said irritably, "His current roommate is Lestrange."

"You two had a fight?" Eleanor looked at him in confusion.

"Of course not." Avery suddenly looked a little annoyed, "Don't you know what he did to you?"

"what?"

"He hid you," Avery said excitedly, "after you were petrified, he actually hid you in a weird room—he should have sent you to the school hospital! Oh God knows what he's trying to do to you—"

Eleanor was taken aback by Avery's sudden outburst. She looked at Avery hesitantly, and finally said softly, "I'm sorry, did I make you worry?"

The expression on Avery's face froze instantly. After a while, he let out a long breath, and turned his eyes to the pictorial of the beautiful woman.

Eleanor stood up from the bed, she sighed, "Thank you, Avery. I know you are worried about me."

Of course she knew why Tom hid herself.Because he didn't want others to discover the existence of the secret room. This didn't surprise Eleanor at all, anyway, she already knew that he was such a selfish character.

It was Avery who surprised her.Little did she expect Avery to care so much about her.

She looked at Avery, smiled and said, "By the way, are you hungry? Let's go to lunch. Thank God, I feel like I could eat a whole bear."
