[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind
Chapter 033 Valentine's Chapter Greeting Card [Catch Bugs]
Not long after school started, word spread that London had been bombed.
The fear of war spreads to a lesser extent within Hogwarts, especially among the children of Muggle families.Eleanor could often hear some students in the corridors cursing those "fucking Germans" loudly.
Eleanor had already been through one of these wars, so she knew her homeland would be safe. But she still can't help paying attention to those news every day.
After the Christmas holidays, the news of the spread of the war continued to come. All of Europe seemed to be in a panic about war.
Tom saw her concern. He once said contemptuously that no Muggle weapon could harm Hogwarts Castle.
"Thank you for your comfort. But I'm not worried about that." Eleanor said, "I just simply hate war."
Tom moved his lips, trying to explain that he didn't say those words to comfort her.
But when he raised his head, he happened to see the ghost looking out of the window in a daze, not knowing what he was thinking about.
"What are you thinking?" he couldn't help but say out loud, while turning to the window.A few robins were hopping happily up and down the treetops.
"I was just thinking, there is no one who doesn't hate death. But people always like to kill each other and impose death on their compatriots." Eleanor sighed, "Can't they coexist peacefully?"
Tom dipped the quill in the inkwell, and said with his chin up, "It's very simple. Don't you even understand this?"
Eleanor turned her head and looked at Tom in surprise, "So, you understand it well?"
Tom scribbled heavily on the parchment, without looking up, and said, "Because of lust. The ugly desires of human beings make them fight each other. It is completely inevitable."
"My God, where did you read that?" said Eleanor in surprise.
Tom just shrugged his shoulders slightly.
"Well, what you said makes sense." Eleanor said fairly. She had to admit that Tom's views were quite insightful in many aspects. Wizards are much stronger.
"But not all desires are ugly." Eleanor said again suddenly.
"An example?" Tom said casually, flipping through his herbalism textbook.
"For example..." Eleanor suddenly felt that her face was a little hot, although she knew that it was impossible for her to blush, "For example, lust. I always think that love is the most beautiful kind of human emotion."
"That sounds like a little girl in puberty," Tom said with a slight glance at her, and said with a sneer.
"No." Eleanor retorted, and she suddenly showed a malicious smile, "But then again, you have finally reached this age."
Before he knew it, Tom's voice had begun to show signs of a voice change period. His stature has grown by more than an inch this spring.
Eleanor suddenly realized that he had quickly lost his childishness and looked more and more like the young man she remembered.
"You must have a girl you like, Tom," she sighed, trying not to dwell on the memory of the young man.
"I don't have time to think about that," said Tom dryly, "and I'm not interested in girls."
Eleanor pretended to be surprised and said, "Are you interested in boys?"
Tom finally had a slightly violent reaction, and he looked at Eleanor annoyedly: "Of course not."
"What a pity," said Eleanor. "I thought you must have a crush on Avery or something."
Tom took a deep breath, and seemed determined not to chat with her about such nonsense.
It's a pity that even if Tom himself is not interested in these things at all, troubles still find themselves at the door.
On Valentine's Day, he received a box of chocolates wrapped in pink, which also came with a beautiful Valentine's Day card.
"Wow." Avery glanced at the box of chocolates and let out an odd exclamation. "Speaking of which, I've never received a Valentine's Day card."
Since Christmas, Avery has become a lot more cheerful than before. However, Eleanor still felt that his character was much calmer than before. His mother's death seemed to make him mature quickly.
In the old days, he would have clamored for chocolates too.
"If I were you, I would be very careful whether there is a love potion in it." Abraxas reminded, "Recently this thing is very popular among girls."
But Tom threw it into the bedside cabinet without even removing the wrapping paper. As for the poor greeting card, it went in the trash after he saw it once.
I really don't know which unlucky girl fell in love with him.thought Eleanor.
Eleanor couldn't think of anything attractive about him other than his looks. She unconsciously began to stare at Tom, who was listening attentively.
The current class is History of Magic, almost half of the students have deserted, and the rest of the students are sleeping hard.Even Eleanor, who is very interested in the history of wizards, finds this class extremely boring, which is all due to Professor Binns' incomparably profound hypnosis skills.
But Tom was able to keep sitting upright in the chair, staring at Professor Binns motionless. He is not in a daze, because he will pick up a pen from time to time to write down a few words in his notes.
weird guy.thought Eleanor.
But such a Tom is not annoying. This makes him seem like a good student hungry for knowledge. To be honest, Eleanor has always admired this.
"What are you looking at?" she heard Tom whisper suddenly. His brows were visibly furrowed.
"I'm just researching where you are attractive to girls." Eleanor answered bluntly and in a low voice.
Tom raised his head and stared at her, "What are you doing?"
"It's not crazy, it's just that I feel sorry for the girl who gave you chocolates." Eleanor replied, "If she finds out that you threw her greeting card into the trash can, she will definitely curse you for the rest of her life."
Tom snorted with his usual contempt, "Don't be silly, Muggle, I—"
"Then who can tell me when this peace agreement was signed?" Professor Binns suddenly raised his voice, his pearly white eyes slowly scanning the list, "Tom Riddle?"
Tom immediately stood up from his chair, and answered Professor Binns' question in a completely different serious tone from before.
"Very good." Professor Binns' facial muscles, which had always been very stiff, seemed to relax slightly, showing a smile-like expression, "Two points for Slytherin."
"Even Professor Phantom is about to fall in love with you." Eleanor whispered behind Tom, "My God, you are so charming."
