[HP] Snake

Chapter 52

The annual Christmas dinner at Hogwarts is usually very delicious and rich, and everyone eats with relish, and those caring house elves even specially prepared a meal that is not so greasy for me.

The hall was set up in a rather grand style, with a dozen frost-covered Christmas trees around it, thick friezes of mistletoe and holly criss-crossed from the ceiling, and enchanted snowflakes falling from the ceiling. Lightly falling from the ceiling, it looks beautiful and dreamy.

Dumbledore was singing Christmas carols very excitedly, looking quite funny with his strangely colored robes.

Hagrid sat on one side, drinking eggnog glass after glass, his face flushed, and he began to sing along with Dumbledore, but the voice was much louder than Dumbledore, and it was no exaggeration to say that he was roaring.

Severus was eating on his own, occasionally turning his head to glance at the group of very excited Gryffindors headed by Dumbledore with a look of disdain, then curled his lips and continued to eat.

Even at the Slytherin table, most of the people were beaming, and the standard smile that was always on their lips brought a touch of real joy.

"Harry, Merry Christmas." Draco picked up the glass at hand, and the original pumpkin juice in it had turned into red wine.

Pansy and Bryce on the other side also raised their cups and gestured to me together.

"Merry Christmas, Pansy, Draco, Bryce, my dear friends." Smiling, he picked up the glass and clinked glasses with them one by one.

He took a sip of the red wine in the glass, caught a glimpse of Severus staring at me from afar, secretly smiled, raised the glass in his hand, and saw that his face was even more gloomy up.

It wasn't long before Severus finished his dinner, got up, gave me a stern look, and left the hall aggressively.

This is obviously a boon for most of the students, they played even more crazy, especially the Weasley twins, who kept playing pranks on everyone around them, especially their own brother.

Speaking of the twins, they are indeed very talented in potion science, ancient rune and alchemy, and they are especially talented in mischief.During this period of time, I just gave them a few related books and gave them a few instructions, which was enough for them to come up with a lot of interesting things.

I also didn't stay long at the dinner party, I almost put down my knife and fork and planned to leave, and Draco offered to go back to the cellar with me.

When passing the aisle on the other side of the cellar entrance, I accidentally saw three people, one of them was the twin brother, the Gryffindor male prefect, Percy Weasley, and the other two were at this time "Crabbe" and "Gol" who were supposed to be feasting in the lobby.

He and Draco looked at each other, exchanged a knowing smile, and then continued to walk forward.

"You are here," Draco raised his chin, looked at them with a little disdain, and said in a drawn-out voice with a fake smile, "have you two been eating and drinking in the auditorium?" Do you want to drink? Why did you come here suddenly?"

"Goyle" looked a little timid, and just as "Crabbe" was about to answer, Draco turned his eyes away and ignored them, obviously not needing their response.

Draco glanced at Percy Weasley with disdain, and spoke sarcastically.

"What are you doing here, Weasley?"

"You need to show some respect to the prefects!" Percy looked very indignant. "I don't like your attitude!"

Draco gave him a cold look, then raised his chin at Crabbe and Goyle, motioning them to follow him.

But "Crabbe" and "Gol" hesitated for a moment before following up.

Draco and I, who were walking in front, gave each other a smirk without pointing out their unusualness.

"That Peter Weasley—" Draco sneered, and was interrupted by "Crabbe" behind him.

"It's Percy!" "Crabbe" looked a little excited, his face flushed.

"Whatever he is, huh!" Draco snorted coldly, "I've noticed that he's been sneaking around the cellar lately. I dare say, I know what he's thinking. He must be thinking Catch the heir of Slytherin all by himself. Oh, I said, Harry, how could someone be so stupid?"

I sneered in agreement, and out of the corner of my eye I noticed that "Crabbe" and "Goyle" behind me exchanged an excited look.

Stopping at the door of the common room, Draco deliberately turned his head to look at "Gol" behind him, raising his eyebrows.

"What's the new password?"

"Eh? Well... I..." "Gol" looked extremely nervous, his eyes wandered around, but he didn't dare to look at Draco, and his face suddenly turned pale.

"Gol, you forgot the password again? Then, remember clearly, the password is 'pure blood'." Draco quickly found a reason for "Gol" and said the password.

"Crabbe" and "Gol" breathed out in unison, which can be said to be full of flaws.

You know, although Crabbe and Goyle are only vassal families of the Malfoy family, they are also real pure-blood nobles. password forgot. What's more, it is impossible for Slytherin to change a new password now that they are about to go on Christmas vacation. Draco's questioning is simply playing tricks on them.

The stone door of the common room opened, and Draco and I walked in first, followed by "Crabbe" and "Gol".

A few people sat scattered in the lounge and greeted each other. Draco pointed to the two seats away from the fireplace and turned to "Crabbe" and "Goyle".

"Wait here," Draco said with a sneer, "I have something to show you."

After Draco finished speaking, he walked back to his room.

And I sat directly on a loveseat by the fireplace, where Terry was sitting, holding a thick book, engrossed.

"Terry, what are you looking at?"

"Secret of Equivalence, you know, this is a great book on alchemy. It is said to be the only monograph on alchemy left by a mysterious alchemist more than 700 years ago. This is a treasure of our family." He said Carefully holding the book with the black cover, it looked really old, the parchment inside was brownish-yellow, and there was only one line of book title on the cover in blood-red cursive script.

"Maybe, after you finish reading it, you can lend it to me?" I raised my eyebrows, not hiding my interest.

"Of course, Harry. But, you said you won't be returning to Sinister this Christmas holiday, may I ask why?" He agreed, then frowned and asked.

"You know, I have some things that need to be dealt with at Hogwarts, related to our dear dean." I winked at him, and I didn't hide the matter between me and Severus from him and Jill, after all, Severus Les stayed with me for half the summer vacation.Of course, I did not explain our relationship to them.It will scare them, absolutely!

"Oh, well, that's fine," Terry nodded, "Jill and I should go home this year, then, Sinister, we will be temporarily closed."

"Okay, I have no objection." I agreed with a smile, my nose a little astringent. They really didn't go home to spend Christmas with their relatives last year because of me...

"Oh, Harry, you shouldn't think about it," Terry looked at me with some blame, and patted my shoulder, "You said that we are a family, and Sinister is our home, isn't it? Is it?"

"Yes, you are right, dear Terry."

At this moment, Draco was back in the common room, holding a piece of paper in his hand that looked like a newspaper clipping.

"You guys will laugh when you read it," Draco said with a sneer, holding the piece of paper straight in front of "Crabbe" and "Goyle".

"Crabbe" opened his eyes wide in astonishment, quickly read the newspaper clipping, and then gave a very forced smile, and handed it to "Gol" beside him.

"Arthur Weasley dared to drive a magically modified Muggle car directly into the sky, and was discovered by a lot of Muggles. Oh, what a shame for wizards! He has ruined the reputation of the Ministry of Magic!" Draco sneered coldly, "Oh, the Muggle Protection Law?! Thanks to his pinpoint-sized head, he could figure it out! Since he likes Muggles so much, he should just break his wand in two and join The ranks of Muggles! Look at the ridiculous behavior of the Weasley family, I really can't see that they are also purebred wizards!"

"Crabbe"'s face suddenly became distorted, looking rather scary.

"What's wrong with you, Crabbe?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I... have a stomachache." "Crabbe" covered his stomach, clenched his hands into fists, trying to hide his emotional fluctuations.

"Gol" on one side was pale and trembling.

"What's the matter with you, Goyle?" Draco turned to "Goyle" again, pretending to be puzzled.

"I...I...I...just...just..." "Gol" shy away from looking at Draco, stuttering and unable to explain why.

"Oh, I see, do you have a cold?" Draco snorted lightly.

"Yes...yes...I...have a cold..." "Gol" was visibly relieved.

"Then, why don't you go to the medical wing, you'll be going home on vacation soon, it's always bad to be sick." Draco said quite understandingly, and pointed to the door.

Seeing him like this, "Crabbe" and "Goyle" had no choice but to walk out with a dejected look on their faces.

What a crappy show...
