Right Prime Minister Zhong Xuliang didn't just say what he said at the reception banquet. Within two days, he invited the abbot of Shimen Temple and several Zen masters to give lessons to the princes.

In fact, the princes also have to gather together for class on weekdays, except for Zhao Mian, who will be weak in a few months. Emperor Zongzheng had found the prince and Taifu to teach him alone a while ago, but this time he went to Gu Xiangtan again. Returning to Guozi Temple from the East Palace, Zhao Mian was naturally not very happy about it.

And the other one who joined halfway was Zhao Yuan. In the eyes of these princes and dignitaries, Zhao Yuan left Beijing when he was six or seven years old, and wandered in many places. On the surface, he has the appearance of a princess, looking noble, beautiful and unattainable, but it is also very likely that he is just rich and jade, with an empty belly, and many people still hold the intention of watching him joke for a while.

However, it wasn't until I went there that I found out that Zhao Yuan did have some real talents and knowledge, and she knew a lot, and had several wonderful contacts with Zen masters.

Everyone was amazed by this, Prince Zhao Mian took this opportunity to talk about Emperor Zongzheng's kindness. It turned out that although Zhao Yuan was living in exile, Emperor Zongzheng never forgot the old prince's entrustment and took good care of Zhao Yuan. At the beginning, he invited two teachers to go out with him. It must be at that time that Zhao Yuan learned his knowledge. yes.

Just according to Zhao Mian's words: Mr. Taoism is nothing more than mediocre, how can those outside compare with those in the palace, no matter how powerful Zhao Yuan is, there is a difference between them and the children of these famous teachers, and it is far from making them admire the point.

……

This day I was going to study Buddhism again, so Gu Xiangtan Yinshi got up.

He used to always walk with Zhao Ze, occasionally adding Zhao Yuan, but in the past few days, he started meeting the third son Zhao Jie on the way, and he had no problem with following Gu Xiangtan, he also went along the way anyway, but this scene Seen by Zhao Mian, he immediately became dissatisfied. Emperor Zongzheng raised his voice, even if Zhao Mian disdained it in his heart, at least he couldn't cancel his father's arrangement on the face of it. On the contrary, Lingfo became closer to these people.

So the next day Zhao Mian personally brought people to wait outside the Sumeru Hall. Zhao Ze came and was chased away by Zhao Mian, insisting on going to Guozi Temple with Gu Xiangtan.

Gu Xiangtan didn't object at the moment, but he didn't want to agree with Zhao Mian's second intention, so he would rather get up early and go out before the prince came.

I thought that there was no one in Guozi Temple at this time, but I didn't want to see a sedan chair with green leather and blue curtains parked outside the vermilion lacquer gate from a distance.

Gu Xiangtan walked in and passed the school door, but seeing that there was no one inside, he walked along the corridor again, and stopped when he was outside the Cangjuan Pavilion.

At this moment, the morning light is twilight, the sky is still dark, and there is still a faint light in the alcove in the house. The flickering candlelight reflects the face of the person in front of him, and the standing silhouette is illuminated by the clear light outside the window. .

Gu Xiangtan stared at him for a while, left Su Xi and An Yin outside, walked in by himself, and came to the Book Pavilion and took out an ancient book from above and flipped through it casually.

Hearing the slow footsteps, Zhao Yuan knew from a long distance that someone was coming towards this place, and when he realized that the other party was standing in front of him, he raised his jaw slightly, but his eyes did not move away from the book.

Then Zhao Yuan heard the human say, "It's too early..." There seemed to be a faint smile hidden in this sentence.

Zhao Yuan turned a page, "You're not too late."

Gu Xiangtan nodded, "I can't sleep well when I change places."

Zhao Yuan raised her head and looked over, and when she found that Gu Xiangtan's expression was indeed not very good, he frowned.

"Stop reading scriptures at night."

Gu Xiangtan smiled "heh", with a brisk tone, "Still talking about me..."

Zhao Yuan fell silent.

Gu Xiangtan raised his eyebrows and met the two indifferent gazes that Youyou shot over. They were weightless, but seemed like needles hidden in cotton.

Involuntarily pursing his lips, Gu Xiangtan said reluctantly, "Understood."

Gu Xiangtan went out after half a cup of tea in the Zangjuan Pavilion, and another cup of tea before Zhao Yuan came out, and the students outside were already sitting in a pile.

In addition to the royal family, there are many princes and princes present here. Although there are only a dozen seats in total, it is quite meaningful to sit up. They should be divided according to their closeness and distance, and they should also be concerned about their status. It was really not easy, but in the end, the place where Gu Xiangtan was located became a dividing line, with the crown prince and the third son sitting on both sides, Zhao Yuan and Zhao Ze behind him, and his colleague Zixi farther away.

The power of the court can also be glimpsed here.

When Zhao Mian saw Gu Xiangtan, he snorted coldly, he was blaming him for letting himself miss.

Gu Xiangtan, however, had a smile on his face, and he even bowed back to every classmate who came to greet him.

As soon as he sat down, Zhao Ze from behind came over, "Lingfo Lingfo, the emperor chose a new site for my third brother to build the General's Mansion. It's at the end of Changping Street. What do you think about the Fengshui there?"

As soon as the words fell, Zhao Mian said coldly at the front, "Presumptuous! Are you treating Lingfo as a Fengshui master? This is what Jinfei Empress usually taught you?"

Zhao Ze was taken aback. He was straightforward and heartless. He originally respected Gu Xiangtan's etiquette when he saw Gu Xiangtan, but after getting along with him for a few days, he found that Gu Xiangtan was not very superior. The two of them can often talk together, which makes Zhao Ze forget all his status and status, and he can't stop his mouth for a while.

He also knew that Zhao Mian was right, but he felt uncomfortable.

Gu Xiangtan smiled and said, "It's nothing, it's just that I'm not very thorough about this Feng Shui thing, I'll have to check it out tomorrow to find out."

Hearing what he said, Zhao Ze immediately smiled and said, "Okay, okay, my third brother also said that when the mansion is completed, it is necessary to invite Lingfo to the mansion to talk about it."

Seeing that Gu Xiangtan not only refused to accept his love, but also got closer and closer to Zhao Ze, Zhao Mian's face was dark enough, and when he turned his head and saw Zhao Jie gloating over his misfortune, Zhao Mian even held back a moment. Stomach fire.

It wasn't until the abbot of Shimen Temple and two Zen masters entered the room that the room became quiet and the teaching began.

Today, the head Zen master told a story to all the gentry children. The story is about a pair of businessmen brothers. The elder brother is smart, while the younger brother is dull. He often gave alms and helped, and donated the extra money to the poor. But one day, because of a loss-making business, my elder brother accidentally lost all his wealth. Under the shock, he became seriously ill again, and the last little money was spent in the process of seeking medical treatment. When the money was paid, the elder brother found the younger brother, and the younger brother was naturally grateful for his previous help, so he took his elder brother to take care of him, but his life became quite poor because of the loss of his elder brother's support. The two were at a loss, and the elder brother thought of asking the younger brother to ask the Bodhisattva. He is generous and has helped so many people, so there will be a good result. So the younger brother prayed in front of the Buddha every day, and he was moved by his heart and patience. Finally, one day the Bodhisattva was moved, he gave grace, healed his elder brother's illness, and returned the scattered money to them.

After telling the story, the Zen master asked the princes to talk about what they learned from it.

Even a fool should understand such a simple and easy-to-understand allusion, so they spit out plausible words one after another.

Prince Zhao Mian came first, "This is to warn us that good and evil will be repaid, that good and bad will come together, that good people will do good, that happiness will lead to happiness, and light will lead to light."

The Zen master nodded, and went to look at Gu Xiangtan again.

Gu Xiangtan said, "I am a Buddha who is merciful, with a Mahayana heart, and everything."

The Zen master nodded again.

Zhao Ze said, "As far as sincerity goes, gold and stone are opened."

The Zen master continued to nod.

And when it was Zhao Jie's turn, it was obvious that his speech was the one that the Zen master liked the most. Zhao Jie said, "It is to let us know that brotherhood is precious, and we will also let Zao push pears in the future. Brothers and friends are respectful."

Royal affection is the thinnest, and the Zen master told them to remember that the blood is connected, and the same spirit is connected, and they must never fight against each other for things outside of them.

In the end, the Zen master looked at Zhao Yuan and wondered what truth he could say.

Zhao Yuanben looked at the white paper on the table and case, and felt the attention of the room, so she lightly raised her eyelids.

After a while, he said, "Ordinary people don't change their minds when they turn around, and fools seek Buddha but not their minds."

The Zen master's expression changed, and he said, "This...how do you explain it?"

Zhao Yuan said, "Brother was in trouble and lost his money, so he thought of the good deeds he had done in the past, so he exchanged the past for the future with virtue and virtue. Is this deed done to save others, or to save oneself? Or is it just to die? What about bargaining chips with the Buddha before and with the King of Hades after death?"

"The younger brother has hands and feet but does not do anything. He waits for the rich elder brother to take care of him. When the elder brother is sick, the younger brother puts everything on vain thoughts. He spends his time day by day. How much money did you use to save your life?"

"Turning the situation, but not being able to change one's own life, praying to the gods, but still not being able to find the true heart, selfishness, miscellaneous thoughts, greed for life and profit is the nature of most people, the Buddha must have known this truth, so he repays what he does, You can't force it. Isn't that what the story is about?"

As soon as these words came out, not only the Zen master was stunned, but everyone in the venue was silent for a while.

After a long time, Zhao Miancai slapped the table and shouted loudly, "Excessive words are unreasonable. No wonder the Buddha said: Buddhas see Buddhas, demons see demons, and they are talking about a narrow-minded person like you who only sees profits!"

Zhao Mian's words were obviously out of proportion, a little heavy.

The Zen master was also thinking about how to resolve it.

But Zhao Yuan said again, "Since that's the case...it's stupid to look at it."

Zhao Mianzhi suddenly changed color upon hearing this, turned his eyes, pointed at Gu Xiangtan and said, "Then you mean that Lingfo is also a fool."

Gu Xiangtan saw that he was being used as a sword again inexplicably, and couldn't help rolling his eyes in his heart.
