Her Royal Highness the First Princess of Gotham

Chapter 54 The World 1 Extra Story

Peter Parker sighed softly.

He didn't know how to express his heavy heart for a moment.

He had just been to the hospital, to see an old man named Alfred Pennyworth.

He had gray hair all over his head and looked extremely tired.

Peter had heard that the old man had no relatives, and that Bruce Wayne was all he cared about.

Also.

thought Peter Parker.

This is really the most helpless and sad thing in the world, death and parting.

Bruce Wayne was such a nice guy, so nice, Peter couldn't believe it...it was really his name on the death certificate.

And David...

Peter Parker didn't expect it.

He accompanied the old man back to their temporary home in New York.

A small cottage in Queens.

It can be seen that Bruce and David did not plan to live here for too long.

There are still some cardboard boxes in the corner of the living room that have not been opened.

A lot of it is something that Bruce or both have in common.

There was only one trunk full of things that belonged to David.

It's not that I bought a new one after arriving in New York.

Instead, he simply used everything with Bruce Wayne.

The rooms do not show the slightest signs of use.

But the master bedroom has only one bed.

Several books were scattered on the table, and two chairs were placed side by side.

There was still a biscuit box on the table, and some unfinished cookies that had become soggy.

The gray-haired old man caressed the paper biscuit box with trembling hands: "Silly boy."

"You should know David too."

Alfred Pennyworth looked back at Peter Parker.

Peter nodded.

Nostalgia flashed in Alfred's blue eyes: "He is a very gentle child."

Yes.

His suicide was something that no one thought of.

During the gap between Alfred's formalities.

The heartbeat of a child who had been unconscious for a long time finally stopped.

The other simply snapped his own neck.

"Because he's coming to New York. He secretly asked me for a bunch of recipes behind Bruce's back."

"He's worried that the young master won't be used to takeaway."

A trace of doubt flashed in Peter's eyes, and he asked cautiously, "Did you already know?"

"I don't want to know either."

Alfred blinked: "But two young people who are tired of being together every day really can't make people not have some guesses."

Peter couldn't help laughing.

"It's really hard not to let people find out."

Alfred shook his head. "They used to be naive enough to wear couple rings. But I guess it was Bruce's idea, and David just accommodated him as always."

"What a silly boy..."

"I thought most parents would stop it when faced with such a situation?"

Peter raised his eyes.

"Well."

Alfred smiled: "I can never be the vicious witch in fairy tales. If both of them think it's okay, I don't think I should interfere."

He blinked mischievously: "It's just out of selfishness, at least I don't want Master Bruce not to be the one below."

Peter coughed twice, quickly took out a thick notebook from his backpack, and changed the subject: "I got this from David's locker, it should belong to the two of them, I brought it here."

Mr. Housekeeper didn't show any interest in the thick and delicate notebook, he just stood up: "You can rest here for a while now, kid, I'll pour you a glass of milk."

Peter nodded, sat obediently in his seat and waited.

He pretended not to see the tears flashing from the corner of the old man's eyes.

But the time he waited seemed a little too long.

The thick notebook in my hand seems to have magic power.

He couldn't bear it, and opened the thick and delicate notebook.

The first dozen or so pages are random doodles, and there is nothing to identify the owner. There are messy lines drawn in black, and then there is a large blank space.

Peter flipped through a few pages and wanted to put the notebook aside temporarily.

But then, inadvertently.

He found a page full of neat handwriting.

The font is very beautiful, and the words are carefully written, and there is not even a conjoined word on the entire page.

As for what was written in the notebook.

It's about gift lists for holidays and birthdays.

All kinds of different gifts from three or four years ago.

All the gifts that have been sent have been wiped away.

Gifts that have not yet been sent have also been revised many times.

The owner of the book is very careful, and none of the dozens of gifts in the entire list are duplicates.

Peter's attention was suddenly attracted.

He turned a page backwards.

This page is clearly divided into left and right sections, carefully listing all the likes and dislikes.

Even like/hate colors, like/hate people, like/hate weather, like/hate temperatures...

Everything that can be thought of has been carefully recorded on it.

The words piled up for three or four pages, and then replaced with other content.

The page is marked with a big "NO!"

Peter contacted the context, and guessed that the meaning of these contents should not be mentioned.

The triangle drawn by the red pen probably indicates the importance level.

The ones with the most triangular symbols: Crime Alley, Parents, Cat, Batman...

Peter didn't quite understand.

Two pages later there is new content.

This time, only one word was marked at the top of the page: "Lines."

Then there are large paragraphs that seem to be excerpted.

Peter took out his phone and searched, and found that it seemed to be a line from a superhero show called "Grey Ghost" a long time ago.

He raised his head to look at the doll on the bed, and found that it was indeed Gray Ghost.

A few pages of doodles followed.

Most are a small figure that looks like a bat, or just a simple bat shape outlined in black pen.

Do you seem to like bats?

Peter had a guess about the owner of the notebook.

On the next page, the content of the notes confirmed Peter's guess.

The owner of the notebook seems to have suddenly wanted to write a diary.

The handwriting became slightly scribbled:

"Bruce stared at a red hair rope in the window for a long time on the way home."

"It's very thin, with a little golden bell on it. It looks like something for girls to tie their hair with."

"Confused. Bruce doesn't have long hair...and it's ugly..."

"But I still feel very concerned. I simply ran back and bought it as a gift for him."

"...Looks like you like it."

Is this how it came from?

Peter smiled and turned to the next page.

"...As expected, I still care about it."

"I can't help but ask, why do you want that headband."

"It's rare to see Bruce so embarrassed. But it's still nice to say..."

The handwriting here suddenly became scribbled, and the same sentence was crossed out several times with a pen.

But finally wrote it out.

"Say yes...'I think it matches your eye color, it's beautiful. Once you see it, you can't take your eyes away.'"

Peter suddenly laughed.

He felt that with David's awkward personality, he should have exploded on the spot when he heard this sentence.

Sure enough, the next line.

"...Ah, this guy is annoying. Red is the most annoying, and Bruce Wayne is indeed the most annoying person in the world."

In the corner is a small graffiti of a person kicking another dark person over.

Peter continued to flip backwards.

Three or four pages blank.

And a black pen wrote: "...Go back and buy the blue headband of the same style."

There is a kaomoji that is too small to be painted in the corner: "QAQ"

There is also a line so small that you have to squint your eyes: "The blue model is really beautiful..."

There was a smile in the corner of Peter's eyes.

But what followed was bitterness.

The next page and the next dozen pages are full of recipes.

That's what Alfred said he asked him for the recipe, Peter guessed.

Almost every meal on the recipe has notes made in red pen.

Made minor flavor adjustments.

Also marked in small print with Bruce Wayne's reaction...

For a moment, Peter didn't know how to imagine David with a serious face and an apron cooking seriously.

This is really unimaginable, although David can be regarded as his friend, but he is indeed dangerous and heinous.

He seemed more suited to dismantling and assembling guns with a deadpan face than baking cupcakes with heavy gloves on.

But this is the fact.

The next page made Peter laugh again:

"I chose to start growing long hair under Bruce's tireless questioning."

There is also a line of fine print:

"It's so annoying. I always stare at my wrist when I'm chopping vegetables. I also smile inexplicably."

How could Bruce not laugh.

Peter cursed, the two headbands worn on the wrists were for couples.

The purpose of the notebook seems to have become a diary, and the following content becomes a bit trivial.

"Obviously I insisted on arguing to watch a movie, but I fell asleep from exhaustion... I really don't know what to say."

"Why on earth did you ask me to accompany him on the road? I walked from one end of the entire business district to the other, and I didn't know what to do."

"It turned out that we went to the supermarket together."

"It's so annoying, and I'm still arguing for ice cream."

Peter couldn't imagine what this so-called Bruce was arguing about watching movies and eating ice cream.

He has learned to automatically replace David's "very annoying" with: "so cute", "so happy", "so funny"...

Because that's what he meant between the lines.

It’s Peter’s favorite small print part again, although this part is always a bit cruel:

"...Sophistry that he himself didn't fall asleep because he was looking forward to the 'date' too much last night. Said that his mind was full of 'date' content..."

"A date...?"

Such a sweet and greasy diary has been written for more than 20 pages, and Peter turned to another emmmmm, which made him have some difficult pages.

It is still a line of small characters.

"...Ears are very sensitive, be careful."

Well, all of a sudden it's progressing by leaps and bounds.

Peter groped his chin and put the notebook on the table.

But his fingers suddenly touched the cover, causing Peter to vaguely flip to the last page.

It's a pencil drawing.

The person in the painting knew without guessing that it was Bruce Wayne.

He was lying on the table and looked as if he had fallen asleep.

The picture is extremely quiet and comfortable.

Tiny rubber crumbs pressed into the gaps in the paper.

Peter flips through and sees that this is indeed the only drawing of Bruce in the notebook.

The outlined light image is all sprinkled behind him, making Bruce look warm.

Rubbing his fingers on the page, Peter inadvertently found a line of small words that had been erased.

"Don't be a hero, please."

Peter didn't quite understand what that meant.

He just suddenly remembered something.

His slender fingers quickly flipped through the notebook.

On the last few pages, I found the confession plan marked "birthday gift".

Trembling fingers unlocked Bruce's phone code using David's birthday as a code.

The only schedule was what Bruce had told him, the one he had planned for a long time, and planned to confess his love on his birthday.

He remembered that pair of cobalt blue eyes were bent, full of smiles: "If you ask for it as a birthday present, he will never refuse."

That look almost didn't write "Pride and Pride" on his face.

The tail almost turned up to the sky.

only...

The rest of the content in the notebook became disorganized, and the handwriting was illegible.

"...he didn't want to leave."

"I went back to find Geralt and Ciri once, but nothing came of it."

"There is no harvest in hell."

"..."

"again:("

None of them waited for that day.

Peter sighed and closed the heavy notebook in his hand.

The author has something to say:

"I will look into your eyes as death gazes at your beloved mouth that I never kissed. I will dare to kiss you as night gathers in your truncated life.

—Alfonsina Stolny, "I Will Dare to Kiss You"
