Chapter 4 The Source of Life
"This flower is for you." When she was about to leave, the child handed her the rose that had been hidden behind her.
But now it is clearly winter, and the garden is white.
"They cast a spell on me." He looked at her enthusiastically, he was still very polite at a young age, "Can you accept it?"
He was a beautiful boy, and she couldn't find any reason to say no.
White as snow, red as blood.
Later, she gave this magic rose to someone else, promising to return when the petals withered.
A rose quickly loses its magic once it leaves the place where it grew.It withers, withers, and finally loses its bright red and becomes a lifeless black.
She broke her promise and never returned.
It took her a very short time to figure out that she was not dreaming. There was no clock on the wall, but she knew she had slept. At some point, the chain was untied, and she was wearing a cloak.
What woke her up was the sound of small footsteps.
The first time they met, she looked at this little boy who was about three or four years old, with black hair and green eyes, and looked very cute.
Through an iron door, she slowly squatted down: "Harry Potter?"
He looked at her warily and didn't speak. It was obvious that he had received a good and correct education. At such a young age, facing the prisoner locked in the interrogation room, there was no fear or dodge in his eyes.
The woman and the boy were deadlocked and staring at each other, interrupted by the newcomer.
"Sirius!" Harry shouted joyously, his pretended serious expression collapsed in an instant, his guardian rubbed his head as a sign of affection, and then handed him over to someone else:
"I'm going to work."
The boy left quietly and obediently. She watched his small back, then got up, without looking at anyone, and returned to her seat.
"Are you still going to keep silent today?" Edgar asked, and before she could answer, he went on, "I brought you someone."
A trembling woman was ushered in, her eyes dodged, and if she happened to meet her eyes, she immediately avoided them in a hurry.
A sneer slowly emerged from the corner of her mouth.
This was one of the guests last night, even a half acquaintance. As an honored guest, she even met Cornelia herself, so naturally she knew her identity very well.
"She said everything," Edgar told her "kindly," "at least the part she knew."
"What kind of benefits did they give you to make you betray me quickly?" She asked with a smile.
"Get rid of the prison and let her go." Edgar replied on his behalf.
"Very well." She nodded approvingly, "but you probably won't be able to leave England alive."
The informer trembled and almost cried out.
"Presumptuous! The Ministry of Magic is not a place for you to blackmail people like Death Eaters." Edgar snapped, "Take her down." After the panicked woman left, he continued to ask, " Do you want to deny her confession?"
She shook her head maintaining her composure.
"Where is Rozier?"
She laughed without saying a word.
"It seems that you still want to continue to resist, don't you?"
"No." She covered her lips lazily and yawned a little, stretched out her hand to wrap her cloak tightly, "Actually, I won't tell you anything."
Edgar was startled, and then he was furious: "Do you think we won't use Veritaserum or Legilimency?"
"Use it." She said indifferently, "I will kill myself before telling the secret."
"Don't worry, we won't let you have the chance to die." Edgar reminded her "kindly".When she was brought to the Ministry of Magic, she had been carefully searched to ensure that she did not hide poison/drugs on her body-this is the method adopted by both factions after the heat of war, in case they reveal their secrets-this interrogation room The security here is heavily guarded, and there are iron chains, so it is extremely difficult to commit suicide.
The prisoner opened his eyes slightly, and then pursed his lips, as if a little surprised and nervous, and then returned to his expressionless face.
That's what she does when she's guilty. This was his familiar expression, but it appeared on another similar face in a distorted form.
"Does Rozier have something against you?" Edgar was already trying to persuade him to surrender again, "If you are willing to cooperate, we can provide you with protection—even your family. You have a young daughter, yes Do you want to see her?"
Mojiala was silent for a long time, her lips moved slightly, but finally she asked: "I want to see Edmund."
"I'm afraid it's impossible." Edgar refused her request, "I think you should know the reason."
Sirius clearly saw the captive's eyes dim, and she leaned back in the chair resignedly: "Then we have nothing to talk about."
"Then I can only use Dementia." Edgar took out his wand and pointed it at the captive's face, "Soul—what's wrong?"
They both looked at the Auror who had rushed into the interrogation room at the same time. He stepped forward and handed an envelope into Edgar's hand, confessed a few words in a low voice, and then left quietly.Edgar opened the envelope and took a look at the contents, then a smile appeared on his face: "We found this at the Rozier Manor. Mrs. Parkinson, maybe you can explain what it is?"
He held up a photograph so that the captive could see it clearly.
In a magnificent circular room, the curtains were drawn tightly, and forty or fifty children in the same dark green uniform were sitting around the Gothic fireplace, with the same serious and even indifferent expressions.Leaning by the fireplace is a woman in black, with blurred eyebrows and a signature opal necklace hanging on her chest——
Morgara.
Sirius knew as well as Edgar and anyone who served the Ministry or the Order of the Phoenix what this place was and who those children were.
The place where this photo was taken should be the "White Castle", which is well known but no one has seen it.In contrast to the "Black Castle" which was the stronghold of the Death Eaters, a group of children lived in the White Castle. This involves a plan with Rozier as the core, and it is also a conspiracy that the white wizards have always wanted to break: the source of life plan.
Its original idea was to cultivate the descendants of Death Eaters from an early age and use them as the backup force of the mysterious man.Generation after generation, carefully cultivated from generation to generation, it won't be long before this will be an elite army of dark wizards. However, as the power of the mysterious people grew, this plan was quickly expanded to all pure-blood wizards. The Death Eaters once tried to kill parents who wanted to resist and take away young children, but because this plan was too expensive for themselves , They quickly upgraded this to the current source of life plan: capture pure-blood women, imprison them in White Castle to become public toys for Death Eaters, and let them give birth to pure-blood offspring for dark wizards.
These children are apparently the first "products" of this disgusting scheme.
Rewinding the story back to Rozier, she is the head of the Source of Life. And the banquets she frequently held were actually derivatives of the whole plan. With a limited number of Death Eaters, she decided to use the young women in White Castle to make sex deals with foreign wizards. The Death Eaters received secret aid from foreign lands—herbs, books, or money—and foreigners received a few spring nights and unknowingly sowed seeds in foreign soil.
"Don't you already know a lot?" Mo Jiala said with a smile, "Almost everything."
"Don't play dumb. Where's 'White Castle'?"
"I don't know." Mojiala replied briskly. When Edgar raised his eyebrows suspiciously, she explained, "Do you think Rozier will let me know such a big secret?"
"She even let you get in touch with those foreign businessmen first."
"That's all." Edgar waved the photo in front of her, and Mojiala added reluctantly, "She always takes me after I take the sleep potion."
"So you don't know anything about that place? Then why did she take you there?"
"I only know that White Castle is under layers of protection. Rozier is very cautious, and even the guests who have been there don't know how he got there."
Sirius noticed that she avoided the second question.
But Edgar was not so easy to fool: "Why did she take you there?"
"I don't know." Mojiala once again showed that speechless attitude.
Edgar twirled the wand in his hand suggestively: "You don't know?"
"Do you think Rozier has any rules, Mr. Auror?" Mogara seemed to be vaguely annoyed, and his tone began to be less polite, "She took me to White Castle and asked me to stay there for a while. In the afternoon, go and do your own business, and then bring me out, that's all."
"So she asked you to take this photo?"
“She did it for me,” Mojara said. “The kids and the women — Rozier’s trophies, and she loved that.”
"The trophy?" This time the voice was replaced by Sirius. He finally walked to the bright light and spoke directly to the prisoner for the first time, "Aren't you her friend?"
Morgara has realized her slip of the tongue. She pursed her lips in annoyance, determined not to say a word.
They are only one step away from the truth, but there is a thick fog between them.
"I don't want to waste time." Edgar sighed, raised his wand, "Legiliency."
But now it is clearly winter, and the garden is white.
"They cast a spell on me." He looked at her enthusiastically, he was still very polite at a young age, "Can you accept it?"
