My hp is stronger than the Imperius Curse
Chapter 29
Hermione once again walked to the long table in Slytherin where Esther was, regardless of the eyes of the whole school. She looked very angry,
"Did you mess with her?" Pansy looked at her amusedly.
"It's definitely not me, is it you Xiaolong?" Esther immediately asked Draco.
"Merlin! I didn't do anything!" Draco retorted.
Finally the Gryffindor girl controlled her temper and whispered, "Esther, we have something to ask you and Malfoy."
Esther and Draco looked at each other, got up and followed Hermione out of the auditorium. They saw Harry and Ron standing in the corridor.
"Hey Harry, what can you do?" Esther asked them.
"Harry was physically punished by that woman!" Ron yelled angrily.
"What's going on here?" Esther didn't expect Umbridge to physically punish students at school.
"Harry still refuses to tell us, we found out." Hermione said and rolled up Harry's sleeves directly, so that they could see the scars on Harry's hands clearly. Those scars were words, which read "I can't lie"
"She actually used such a cruel method to make Harry use a pen that could leave a scar on his body, and copy 'I can't lie'" Hermione said angrily.
Esther and Draco's eyes widened, "She's so lawless! If she does that to me, I'll make my dad find a way to fire her!" Draco also said angrily.
"Your father probably hasn't been able to touch the upper-level leaders of the Ministry of Magic. She is probably working for the mysterious person." Esther analyzed, and they took a deep breath.
"Have you noticed that our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has never been normal..." Harry said helplessly, even their favorite Professor Lupine could not deny that he was a werewolf.
"I now think Professor Lupine is the best werewolf I've ever seen!"
Esther said suddenly, and even Draco nodded in agreement.
"Oh my God, why do you..." Ron looked at her and Draco incredulously, "That's not what you said at the time."
"Because we saw a more disgusting werewolf." Draco remembered the greedy look that Fenrir looked at Esther, and it made him furious.
"Oh, that's true, I sympathize with you." Hermione knew they must be thinking of those at Malfoy Manor.
"What are you talking about? How come Harry and I don't know?" Ron asked curiously.
"You'll find out someday," interrupted Hermione.
"Well, I'll make you guys willing to tell me one day." Ron glared at them, and Harry smiled helplessly.
"That disgusting old woman used the power of the Ministry of Magic to go to our class to make trouble! Her own class is fine, but she actually interferes with other teachers' classes. I really can't stand her!" Hermione kept talking. They complained about her, and in the next Potions class, they met that slimy old woman again.
"Principal Dumbledore was expelled by the Ministry of Magic in the name of intimidating students with lies. To be precise, that woman is now the principal." Esther said.
"But we both know that's not a lie," said Harry, and there was a moment of silence.
Esther and Draco still sat in the front row, while Harry, Ron and Hao Min sat at the back of the class as before, taking out parchment, quills and "A Thousand Miraculous Herbs and Mushrooms".The whole class was whispering about Umbridge's mischief in other classes, but when Professor Snape slammed the door behind him, everything fell silent.
"You should have noticed" Snape said contemptuously in his low voice, "we have a guest today."
He gestured toward the dark corner, where they saw Umbridge sitting with a clipboard on her lap. "Oh my God, I didn't expect that she would have the guts to attack the dean." Pan Xi exclaimed.
"Yeah, I don't know who's better." Esther joked, which made Draco give her a glare, "She'll be kicked out by the godfather soon," Draco affirmed.
"We're going to continue working on the Strengthening Solution today. You'll see that you're mixing up the same potions you left over from last week; if done right, they should be brewed after the weekend - explain -" He waved his wand again "—Continue on the blackboard."
Umbridge in the corner spent the first half hour of class taking notes.Esther listened as she questioned Snape; her distraction made her careless about the medicine she was dispensing.
"Salamander blood, star!" Draco grumbled as he grabbed her wrist, preventing the third wrong dose, "It's not pomegranate juice!"
"Understood," murmured Esther, she put down the bottle and continued to look at that corner.Umbridge stood up."Ha," she said softly when she was two tables away from Snape, who was bending over Dean Thomas' cauldron.
"Well, this class seems to be appropriate for their level," she said cheerfully behind Snape's back, "but I still doubt whether it is appropriate to teach them to prepare medicines such as Strengthening Solution. I think the Ministry of Magic will consider it from the syllabus. Delete." Snape straightened up slowly, and turned to look at her.
"How many years... have you taught at Hogwarts so far?" she asked, her quill lying flat on the clipboard.
"Fourteen years," Snape replied. The expression on his face was unfathomable, and Esther watched closely as she added a few drops; her medicine hissed dangerously, then turned from turquoise to orange.
"As far as I know your original application was to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts," Umbridge asked Snape.
"Yes," Snape replied calmly.
"But you didn't succeed?"
"Snape's lips twisted.
"Obviously."
Umbridge scribbled a few notes on her clipboard.
"As far as I know you've been applying for this position every year since you started working here."
"Yes," Snape said quietly, barely moving his lips, looking irritated.
"Do you know why Dumbledore keeps refusing to give you the position?" Umbridge continued to ask desperately.
"I suggest you ask him himself," Snape said hastily.
"Oh, I will," said Umbridge, with a sweet smile on his face.
"I guess that's what the investigation is about?" Snape asked, and Esther felt their Headmaster was on the verge of breaking out.
"Oh, yes," said Umbridge, "yes, the Ministry knows every teacher's - er - background thoroughly."
She turned away, walked up to Pansy, and asked her about the lesson. She still didn't forget to say a few words to Draco, this little Malfoy.
"I think our dean is going to blow up just now she is asking." Esther said with a smile.
"I think if you continue talking, your cauldron will explode."
Draco reminded her angrily.
Snape looked at Esther, Esther panicked, she didn't know what was put into the cauldron, the cauldron gave off the strong and pungent smell of scorched rubber.
Draco immediately moved Estella away, Pansy and Zabini also reacted quickly, only Umbridge, who had just turned his back to them, stood there, all sticky after the cauldron exploded The liquid drenched Umbridge, and she let out a piercing scream, "Who is that idiot, I'm going to send him to my office for detention!" She looked desperate, but in their eyes It looked ridiculous, Hermione, Harry and Ron knew it was Esther's cauldron, they gave Esther admiring looks, and even Professor Snape seemed in a good mood.
"This is my class, and I guess I'm the only one with the right to deal with them," said Professor Snape. "Now, you'd better deal with yourself, you look awful." He gave a sarcasm Smiling, Umbridge looked at Professor Snape in disbelief, the expression on his face was instantly ferocious, "Okay, very good, teachers here, I will report your poor teaching methods to the superiors!" She angrily fell out the door.
"I believe Miss Ye must have accidentally blew up the cauldron, didn't she?" Professor Snape asked loudly, this time the answers of Slytherin and Gryffindor were surprisingly consistent, "Yes, teacher!" She was very happy to go up, and only Esther knew that she really didn't blow up the cauldron on purpose to drive Umbridge away.
"I didn't expect you to be so capable."
Draco looked at her and raised his eyebrows, Esther pulled an ugly smile at him, "Hahaha." She laughed dryly twice.
When the get out of class was over, Professor Snape was willing to give her a pass. She was so touched that she didn't care about her dean's disgusted eyes.
"Did you mess with her?" Pansy looked at her amusedly.
