Chapter 22

The scorching sun makes people drowsy.

An hour later, Harry sat beside Snape from his original position.

When Harry looked up from the heavy book he was studying carefully.

He found that Ron sitting across from him was drowsy, Hermione was trying new desserts with relish, and there were some new books that he hadn't read before.

And beside him, Snape was close at hand, sitting quietly beside him.

Harry could even, out of the corner of his eye, carefully notice Snape's black clothes and the way his legs crossed.

He is at his side.

This confused Harry slightly, but lightened even Hermione and Ron, who had accompanied him.

After the meeting, Hermione said, "If there is a next time, we don't need to come with you again."

"Okay." Harry snapped back, and next time - it made him happy.

Ron also nodded frequently. In his opinion, this meeting was extremely boring. There was nothing that could attract him. dizzy stuff, that's just imparting knowledge and nothing else - nothing special other than that, which makes Ron complain because he's wasting a morning instead of playing a quiz that makes him happy strange.

Two days passed.

Harry endured until the third night.

He lingered in the bedroom, still not reading a few pages of the heavy book that was opened.Harry slumped in his chair, maybe he wasn't really cut out for these kinds of things.

However, Harry quickly picked up the pen again, he wrote a letter briskly again, quickly got Hedwig out of her own cage, and under Hedwig's complaining eyes, Harry told her to hurry up Click on him to send the letter. So, under Harry's expectant eyes, Hedwig took a bite of the unfinished dinner, and angrily flew away from the exclusive window for owls to come and go.

An hour later, Harry got an answer, and he smiled.

Sunday morning.

"I thought—I could protect myself with armor."

"No, Potter, your mind is obviously not telling you the right thing. The attacks of ghosts cannot be blocked, understand? They will not attack your body, but directly damage your spirit, so compared to armor For body protection, you need to use your own head to think about other countermeasures—”

"Isn't it okay to protect yourself with armor?" Harry said still, "but what about—"

"Think with your head, Potter, or do you just hope that someone will continue to guide you when you encounter difficulties one day? Remember what was written on page 7, Potter."

"Not everyone memorizes every page in detail, and that's not practical."

"And yet I remember things that you think are impractical."

"Obviously, it's kind of nerdy."

"Or would you like to experience it for yourself?" Snape stared at him sternly.

"..." Harry didn't speak for a moment, not because he didn't want to refute Snape, but because he... his eyes drifted unconsciously to Snape's body... to experience it for himself?

Or their relationship has been too bad?

Harry began to write letters to Snape every week, sending invitation letters to Snape regularly.

---

They met for another 2 weeks.

Harry was beginning to notice that Snape was staring at him.

Snape was actually silent.

This occasionally panicked Harry.

He tried his best not to ask, to ignore it.

---

This is their 5th meeting.

But Harry noticed that Snape's silence today became even colder.

Or, is there something else?

……

Another Saturday.

Harry hooked Hermione up, and they went to see Snape together.

"I prefer the strawberry flavor..." Harry saw the matcha cake being served, and said something indiscriminately, trying to stir up a conversation.

No one responded to him.

Hermione, who was sitting next to Harry, also noticed it.

She looked carefully at the thin-cheeked Snape.

Snape stared indifferently at the empty front, seemingly oblivious to the scrutiny of others.

"You don't look very refreshed, Professor Snape," Hermione asked.

Snape rolled his black eyes, and his averted gaze, fixed on Harry, suddenly stopped moving.

But it didn't look like he was looking at him.

With his head down, Harry took two sips of his coffee, which had been stirred with sugar.Snape wouldn't be... oh, come on, Harry told himself, don't be sentimental.

The old bat, of course, should be so gloomy all the time, it's not...uncomfortable.

Harry kept his mouth shut, staring at the coffee in his hand, maybe he just felt guilty...

"Professor Snape?"

At this moment, across from Harry, Hermione said softly, "You seem disappointed?"

Her words, not to Harry, made Harry turn to look at Snape...

Snape seemed to think they were asking, and he paused abruptly, his expression flickered weakly, and he became annoyed and uncertain again.

Harry's heart beat violently.

"...Yes, I'm sorry." Hermione said cautiously, "...I didn't mean to hurt you on purpose. But, but, maybe you, you can tell us...we can help you."

Snape lowered his head, his expression blurred by the shadows of the sun.

Harry's regret came flooding back.

"He's gone," Snape said softly.

Hermione held her breath, and Harry's heart skipped a beat.

"...Are you looking for him?" Harry didn't make a sound out of fear of his question.

Because Snape didn't answer, just looked directly at him quietly with black eyes.

That gave Harry the illusion that he had been seen through... He must have exposed himself, Harry lowered his head to avoid it, showing a hint of panic for a moment——

"Yeah, sorry." Harry stammered.

"I don't know where he is," Snape said.

"Oh..." Harry replied blankly.

Harry's mind sank into a quagmire of guilt, he shouldn't have messed with Snape!

"...he didn't show up?"

Hermione on the side spoke softly and couldn't help interjecting into their conversation, "Can you... take the initiative to find him?"

However, Snape did not answer, and this silence made Harry and Hermione feel tortured.

"Then what does he look like?" In the silence, Hermione, the only girl who didn't know anything, couldn't help asking again.

Snape's thoughtful downcast eyes glanced at Harry, their eyes fixed on him, making Harry stiff, and he and Snape looked at each other for a few seconds.

"Blue eyes." Snape's low voice disappeared like running water.

Harry ducked his head sharply.

This morning, there was complete silence.

No one dared to ask Snape any questions.

Even though Harry and Hermione were gone, Snape didn't react.

Maybe he should go back.

At least, meet Snape? No, just let Tommy bring him a sentence. But no, Harry chose not to meet Snape again.

No audio was left either.

---

On Friday, following ordinary Harry, he chose to sort out materials in the office.

It's 5 o'clock.

Ron threw him an invitation, and Harry picked up the gilded invitation and opened it to examine it.

This is an invitation to a charity banquet, and the leader: Draco Malfoy.
