Chapter 6
One day, Dustin asked, "Mark, where's Wardo?"
Mark, who was obsessed with the construction of Facebook, suddenly looked up, Wardo?
Dustin yelled, "Oh my god! You forgot about Wardo, didn't you? You agreed, well, you promised Wardo to pick him up yesterday! I thought he might be sleeping in a room somewhere right now!"
Mark thinks, oh, Wardo, he forgot about Wardo.
"He has an internship." So Mark made an excuse for himself.
Dustin took two steps back, then shook his head: "No! Mark, Wardo didn't have an internship, he turned down his internship to advertise for Facebook, remember?"
"Facebook doesn't need ads." Mark stated his position.
"You should call Wardo and apologize or something," Dustin suggested. "Although you always miss appointments, but... well, you have to call, Mark."
"Oh." Mark responded, continuing to program.
Dustin waited for a few seconds and still didn't see Mark pull out his phone, then he sighed and turned to leave.
He's not Wardo, he doesn't have the power to convince Mark.
Dustin is a very easy person to get along with, he is cheerful, warm and informal, but Dustin is not Mark's best friend.
Everyone knows that Mark Zuckerberg's best friend is Eduardo Saverin, because only Eduardo can bear Mark's extremely bad personality.
Two weeks later, Eduardo appeared after a long absence, and Mark was not in the line to greet him.
Eduardo hugs Chris and Dustin, and they introduce some Facebook employees to Eduardo, including Sean Parker, who is still an outsider.
With the exception of Sean, Eduardo reaches out to him as a gesture of friendliness.
Hey!This doesn't fit the plot, does it?Where did the young master's undisguised dislike go?
Thinking of this, Sean shook Eduardo's hand back, after all, he was more comfortable with superficial skills than the brat in front of him.
At this moment Mark came out, he saw Eduardo, came over with a bit of surprise and patted Eduardo's waist.
"Hey!"
Eduardo twitches like he's been electrocuted.
That's definitely not the reaction that an emotion should have.Sean, who was standing by, noticed it keenly.
fear?
"Hi, Mark." Eduardo gave Mark the brightest smile, but didn't give his friend a long-lost reunion hug.
When Mark told Eduardo that he intended to win over Sean Parker, he was actually a little nervous, because Eduardo's attitude towards Sean before was very obvious.
Eduardo doesn't like Sean, thinks he's flashy, and they argue for a long time about the future of Facebook.
Mark remembers this and says he doesn't want to argue with Eduardo again at all.
Eduardo is a wonderful friend, aside from his Facebook presence.Mark thought after he calmed down.
Eduardo sat on the sofa and looked up at Mark in front of him, and Mark couldn't decipher whether he agreed or disagreed on his face.
"Sean has a certain profile, and his network is very helpful for the growth of Facebook. He understands computers and the Internet, and understands how people want to integrate these two technologies into their lives. So..."
"I agree."
Mark's remaining reasons are stuck in his throat.
Probably because it was too funny for him to look like the pause button was pressed at this time, Eduardo laughed: "What's wrong? You didn't have full confidence before trying to convince me?"
Mark responded with a shrug and said, "I thought we'd be arguing for a long time."
"Really? I think I'm pretty easy to talk to. Every time you don't remember the agreement with me, I'll let you go."
"So you agree with Sean's joining?"
"uh-huh."
"Fine, we have an agreement." Mark went back to his computer and was busy, "It was sometime."
"What?" Eduardo didn't understand what he was talking about.
"You talk only sometimes, more often you are quite opinionated and difficult to persuade."
"You know me? Why don't I know, when?"
"On Facebook."
"..." Eduardo licked his lips, his heart was beating hard, "How about leaving all Facebook decisions to you from now on?"
Mark turned his head and looked at his friend who said this in surprise.
"Actually, I'm not suitable for this at all. You see, you may be right about the advertisement, so I won't interfere with your decision in the future."
"Are you sure?" Mark asked a little uncertainly.
"Yeah." Eduardo nodded, "And, I'm glad you brought up the Sean Parker matter with me, really."
Mark shrugged and turned his head back, "Sean said he didn't want to make an enemy of you, and since you didn't seem very friendly before, I think it's mainly because you're the decision maker with 30% ownership."
Eduardo felt his stomach ache: "Are you mocking him?"
"That's who he is, but now I need him."
"…" Eduardo stands up, he thinks, he has to get out of here.
When Eduardo grabs the doorknob, Mark says, "Thanks, Wardo."
For a split second, Eduardo wants to rush over and punch him.
"For what?" The voice was soft, and Eduardo found himself asking when he realized it.
"Facebook's decision-making power."
The fingertips of the five fingers holding the doorknob turned white, and he turned his head to look at the back of Mark's head.
After a long time, he said, "You're welcome."
Eduardo wonders, how on earth has he been able to stay by Markzuckerberg's side for so long?
