[HP] End of Death
Chapter 114 The Secret Plan
Harry was scolded by Ron and Hermione after he left the dressing room. They complained that he took too long, and Mrs. Weasley and Hagrid were getting impatient.
"We have to leave quickly, I still want to visit Fred's store!" Ron said.
"They've got a shop in Diagon Alley? - is it doing well?" Harry asked.
"Business is good? They are making a lot of money!" Ron shook his head, "I really want to go and see right away. Mom is not too opposed to them now, and she probably never thought they could do it." so good……"
They walked down the street in the other direction, and the sky was obscured by clouds and the light was dim and gray.Ron stuck his head and looked around, looking for the joke shop that Fred and the others opened. However, Harry soon discovered that they didn't have to look for it, because it was so conspicuous—
The first thing that catches the eye is all kinds of things jumping and screaming at the entrance of the shop. Small lights in the shape of five-pointed stars that change colors hang from the eaves of the door, and small boxes that reach the ceiling are piled up next to the glass windows. The store was full of excited boys and girls, pointing at all kinds of bottles and cans, and discussing fiercely with their heads together.
Harry and the others managed to open the door, and squeezed their bodies into the narrow gap.Fred and George were standing in the middle of the store greeting customers, and waved to them when they saw them.
"Hey, you guys are here!"
Hermione and Ron immediately dispersed to find the goods they were interested in. Harry walked up to Fred and George and looked around on tiptoe. He wanted to touch everything he saw, but he tried his best not to do so.
"Oh, Harry, take what you want, we won't charge you." Fred caught his gaze and patted him on the shoulder.
"Uh, how can this work, I—"
"Stop talking, you gave us the money to open the store, Harry," Fred said with a serious face, "we won't take your money."
At this time, Ron walked up to them with a bunch of small boxes. George glanced at them and said, "Ten Galleons, seven Sickles and two Knuts, Ron."
"What? I'm your younger brother!"
"So the two knuts are saved for you. If you don't have any money, put the stuff back," said George sharply.
Ron glared at them and put the boxes back in their place, cursing.
Harry looked out the window, from which he could see the corner of the street diagonally. He saw Draco walking alone on the street, looked around vigilantly, and turned into an alley on the right.
Narcissa must not have wanted her precious son to leave her side, and Draco must have had a hard time shaking her off...Harry didn't know what he was going to do, but subconsciously he thought he must have plans.
While looking out the window, Harry said to Ron, "I'll be right back after a while." Regardless of his stop, he quickly put on the invisibility cloak, and sneaked out of the joke shop.
Wrapping the Invisibility Cloak tightly around him, he walked into the alleyway Draco had entered. The alley is very deep, with iron poles and cobwebs everywhere, and the light is dim.He clumsily squeezed through the crowd, his eyes closely following the golden light and shadow that sank and floated.
Draco walked out of the alley, leaning on the wall, and disappeared to the right.Harry hurriedly bypassed a witch in black who was selling teeth on a plate, and hurriedly followed. He spotted Draco walking into Knockturn Alley, hesitated for a second before continuing to follow him.
There were never many people in Knockturn Alley, but now it is even rarer. There seems to be no one in the dark shops-it may be revealing to go in and out of such places during this period.
Draco turned and entered the Borgin Burke shop that Harry used to visit when he visited Knockturn Alley, which sold all kinds of dark magic items of unknown origin.Harry hid in a large locker there during the summer of his first year, when Draco and Lucius came to sell their stash.
Harry tiptoed to the door of the shop, lying on the door panel, trying to hear what they were saying. However, at the moment he heard the voice, he was surprised to find that there was a third person in the store—he didn't know when he appeared, and he didn't see him enter the store—the only possibility was that he had been waiting here , waiting for Draco to appear.
"You're here, Draco," the man said, "I've been waiting for more than ten minutes."
"Sorry, Theodore - my mother is not easy to get rid of," Draco said draggingly, and Harry heard his fingers tapping the glass window, making a crisp drumming sound.
"I wonder, Draco, what exactly is that plan you speak of?"
"It's not convenient to discuss here, Theodore." Draco turned his head, his voice changed direction, "Mr. Bokin, you should know how to fix that thing, right?"
"Well..." Mr. Bojin, the owner of Bokin Burke, licked his lips and said with some hesitation, "I think you can bring it here, I have to see what it looks like... to Draw conclusions, you know..."
"I can't bring it here. It has to be left where it is." Draco cut him off. "You just have to tell me how to fix that thing."
"This... well... um..."
"Ah, I thought maybe it would give you more confidence to see this." Draco said, resting his left arm on the glass counter and pulling up his sleeve.Harry heard Mr. Borgin gasp, while Nott's expression remained unchanged, as if he had known about it for a long time.
"This……"
"You know Fenrir Greyback, he's a regular with us...he'll come and see how you're doing, if necessary..."
"There's no need to—"
"That's up to me." Draco said coldly, pulling down his sleeves and clasping his hands across his chest.
"Okay, okay..." Mr. Borgin's voice became a little flattering, with an imperceptible tremor, "So, Master Malfoy, Master Nott, are you going to take this thing away?"
"Of course not, you stupid little man, what do we look like walking down the street with it? Just keep it for us," Draco shrieked, kicking the glass counter before turning his head to Nott. After saying a few words, the latter nodded, told Mr. Bo Jin a few more words, and walked out of the shop with him.
Harry didn't react when they reached the door, and he hurriedly hid aside when Draco reached out to push the door, tightened the invisibility cloak on his body, and checked whether his legs were exposed.
Talking, the two boys descended the steps and strode down the dark street. It was windy in the street, and Harry couldn't hear what they were saying, but he saw a secret smile on Draco's face, talking to Nott with his hands in his pockets and his head thrown up.They quickly disappeared around the corner.
Harry was still standing there with the Invisibility Cloak on.He found that he was still holding his breath, his chest was full and uncomfortable, and he couldn't breathe.
He knew what Draco was showing Mr. Borgin, he'd seen it on his arm last term too. That was the Dark Mark, proof he was a Death Eater.
He remembered Nott's words, Draco was really planning something... For some reason, he felt extremely uneasy in his heart, and he felt that it was not a good thing - of course, nothing related to Voldemort good thing. He didn't know exactly what Draco needed to fix, or how it would play into his plans.Harry stood still for a while, then slowly walked out of Knockturn Alley with his stiff legs.
If he'd asked Draco, he wouldn't have told him, Harry thought. He said it to make him believe him, so he should keep silent and ignore it?
Harry knew he couldn't do it.
"We have to leave quickly, I still want to visit Fred's store!" Ron said.
