London is a rapidly developing city, like the smog that is constantly filling the city.

One of Tom Lefroy's favorite things to do is to observe which are Londoners and which are tourists or businessmen from the countryside on the streets of London.

For him, Londoners are special.

As Mr. Macaulay said in "History of England":

"When a manor from Lincolnshire appears in London, he is quickly distinguished from the inhabitants of the land, for he looks as conspicuous as a Turk or an Indian sailor."

All in all, Tom Lefroy is proud of being a city guy.Even though, he is still attached to his uncle and has no independent assets.

When he first met Lydia Bennett, he had the heart to laugh at her, because she was a country lady who couldn't read and was only noisy.

When she came to the underground boxing ring to watch him fight, he deliberately ignored her.

But watching a beautiful and nimble little sister follow behind him, Lefroy felt his vanity inflated.

After the two chatted about life and ideals, and encouraged each other to make progress, they were only one step away from clarifying their relationship.

However, Lefroy is very clear that his economy is very dependent on his uncle who is a judge, and will his uncle agree with his marriage to a country lady?

One day, he asked insincerely: "I met a lady from the country at the gate of the court today. Her name is Lydia Bennett..."

Uncle paused while flipping through the newspaper.

"Tell me again, what's the lady's name?"

"Miss Lydia Bennet."

"Are you sure it's...Miss Bennet?"

"Yes." Lefroy was a little confused.

"Where is her hometown from?"

"Longbourn, twenty miles from London."

"Oh my god! It's really that Bennet family!" Uncle said in surprise, "Do you know each other?"

Tom Lefroy was stunned.He didn't expect such a weird result.

I didn't know until I found out that Lydia Bennet's sister turned out to be Her Royal Highness Viscount Elizabeth Bennet!

With this relationship, his flattering uncle was naturally very satisfied with this marriage.
