Heart-finding notice
Chapter 5 Clues
As night fell, I quickly slipped to the door of the room after dinner, and talked to Aunt Wang about the piece of wood.
"I'm a little tired from going to the hospital today. I'm going to rest now. Don't disturb my sleep if I have nothing to do." My voice revealed infinite fatigue, and my eyelids drooped slightly. I don't think they could see the clue at all.
"Then go to bed quickly, master."
Aunt Wang tidied up the room and left, and I glanced at Mu Mu standing back by the door, guessing that he had no doubts about his expression.
"Don't bother me, I wake up very angry."
"Yes, master." He bowed respectfully, thinking that he only prevented outsiders from breaking into the room, but didn't prevent the people inside from escaping, so he couldn't help snickering in his heart.
After closing the door, he turned off the light, and suddenly there was only moonlight shining through the window in the room, and he sat on the window sill, frowning, looking at the rope I tied in advance.
"Don't be afraid, it's taught online, it should work." I swallowed and said in a breathy voice.
"Be careful, I'm always by your side."
"I really imagined floating directly to the first floor like you." Pulling the fairly strong rope, he took a deep breath and stepped one foot out of the window.
"I want to replace you too." He smiled helplessly, but his expression was still a little nervous.
"It's a good thing you still have a conscience." I clung tightly to the rope, and my whole body was already suspended in mid-air. The wound on my leg was a little painful due to the friction with the rope.
"I mean, I have a better chance of success than you old man."
"Damn..." He covered my mouth that I forgot to lower my volume due to momentary anger, and looked at me with some amusement.
"I'll settle the score with you when I go down from the damn third floor." I shake off his hand with my head, and suddenly I feel that the garden is much closer.
"Waiting for you, master." He imitated the tone of that piece of wood, and saluted without a beat.
When my feet finally stepped on the ground, I screamed happily in my heart, and quickly hid the end of the rope behind the wide tree. The rope with the same color as the house was considered invisible at night.
"Let's go!" I deliberately avoided the location where the surveillance cameras could take pictures. For this reason, I first investigated all the surveillance images at home. I really couldn't help but admire myself.
I hailed a taxi and arrived at the hospital smoothly. I changed into the hospital clothes I left behind as a souvenir, and walked into the somewhat dim cardiology branch.
"Hey, why are you still here so late?" The guard immediately noticed me and asked with his head out.
"I was hungry just now, I went shopping for something to eat." The voice was a little weak, and my messy hair made me look very embarrassed.
"Hurry up and go back to the ward."
I responded, and before I left, I still heard him chanting non-stop.
"Which department's nurses let patients walk around late at night, it's outrageous..."
The nurse on duty was absently swiping her phone, and the empty and deserted corridor looked a little scary.
She was the only nurse in the ward, so it seemed that what the person said about the major personnel change in the cardiology department was true.
"She will be busy later."
"Why?" he whispered, lying under a row of chairs with me.
"Patients nowadays like to ring the emergency bell randomly...Look, it's coming!"
The red light in Room [-] was constantly on, and the nurse hurriedly ran to the corridor on the right.
"You go and help me, she yelled right away after she dealt with it, anyway, only I can hear your voice."
"Okay!" Excitedly, he walked directly through the chair and floated to the ward where the nurse was.
I immediately got up and walked lightly, walked into the room where the medical records were stored, and began to dig through the drawers.
Looking forward from the most recent date, fortunately, there were no patients due to the lack of staff in the hospital in the past month.
"Brother Xiaochen! She's done!"
Hearing this, I immediately turned off the flashlight and hid behind a tall cabinet beside me.
The emergency light in the other room came on again, the nurse hurried away again, he floated behind her, and I continued to search.
After several rounds, I finally saw the familiar face in the fifth drawer.
I couldn't help but burst into joy, but it wasn't time to celebrate, so I quickly took out my phone and took a few photos of the more important medical records.
"Brother Xiaochen, she's healed again!" He floated back to my side in a flash, the moonlight shining on him was a bit transparent.
"I found it, retreat quickly!" I secretly turned my head away, trying to ignore his no longer so obvious outline.
"Really? Yay! Brother Xiaochen is the best!" He laughed loudly with difficulty concealing his joy, and threw his feet on me.Unable to feel the weight, I just let him hang on my body, the corners of my mouth raised involuntarily.
We ran out of the hospital after the emergency bell flashed next time. The guard glanced at me as I changed into the hospital clothes, probably thinking that I was another doctor who was forced to leave work very late.
To find the rope that is still in place, it takes more work to climb up than to slide down. After climbing a floor, you have to rest next to the window sill.
"Brother Xiaochen, be careful."
"I see, are you a mother-in-law or not, how many times have I told you since just now?" I panted slightly, and the sweat on my face still involuntarily slid down even though it was a cold autumn evening.
"I'm worried about you." He gently wiped the sweat from my sideburns, a white shirt was hanging in the air at the same height as me, and his whole body exuded a silver-white light.
"...The next floor will be there, I hope the wood doesn't find it." I swallowed, my voice was a little hoarse, I forced myself to look away, and the pain from the scratches on my hands brought back the concentration that had just flown away.
"I went to see him, and he's still standing there."
After a lot of tossing and turning, I finally arrived at the room, and it was still the same as when I left, as if no one had been there.
"Great, let's take a look at your medical records." I put away the rope and hid under the bed, excitedly took out my phone, wisely I didn't turn on the light.
He happily responded, and moved to my side, looking expectantly at the dimly lit screen in the dark.
"Let me see...your name is Ling Zifan."
"The name sounds nice." He stroked his fluffy hair stupidly, and smiled happily.
"No one said it themselves." I gave him a blank look and continued to slide.
"Date of admission... 19xx, based on your date of birth... 20 years old?"
"So I passed away at the age of 20? I died young..." He looked at me with some frustration, and sighed aggrievedly. Not wanting to deal with his narcissism, I continued to slide down.
"Congenital heart disease...retinal loss?" I looked at him in surprise, the weak light from the phone couldn't clearly see his facial features, but I could see that he was also confused.
"It's true that I'm nearsighted, but I can still see!"
I tilted my head and thought for a while, and the unsolved mystery was wrapped in a new layer of paper, which made people a little irritated.
"Wait, how is it possible, I obviously found it in the nearest drawer..." I frantically swiped back, skipping the detailed disease data, and finally saw a similar form.
"Yes! This is the latest medical record! The date of admission is 20xx... He died of a heart attack at the age of 33."
"33? Isn't that just like Brother Xiaochen? We are really destined!"
"It's a pity that there are no photos at this time. I really want to know what you looked like when you were 33."
"Who wants to take pictures when they're sick!"
"Anyway, I must look much older than me. Back then, you dared to call me an old man." I snorted and continued to study the medical records.
"Congenital heart disease, could it be that your heart was necrotic and was used for research? I didn't expect this..."
"That's the best possibility right now."
"Then the next step is to find the doctor who handles the knife!"
He gave a thankful sound with excitement, stared at me with wide eyes and zoomed in on the photo. Although it was a little blurry, he could still see two characters written profusely in the corner: Luo Yu.
"I'm a little tired from going to the hospital today. I'm going to rest now. Don't disturb my sleep if I have nothing to do." My voice revealed infinite fatigue, and my eyelids drooped slightly. I don't think they could see the clue at all.
