Detective Inspector Glenn Harlow of the Bell Lake Police Department was last seen on Sunday afternoon between four and five as he was driving out of Pocatello Airport.Harlow, who has worked in the Montpellier Police Department for more than ten years, did not go to work that day, and no one knows where he went until now.

Sheriff Collier said the department had been investigating Harlow's disappearance since Monday morning and needed to know if Harlow left voluntarily.

Harlow was Caucasian, white, six feet one, and of a thin build. He has brown hair and eyes between light blue and gray.Police have not yet ruled out the possibility of murder.

â‘ Approximately 1.85 meters.

"There are countless possibilities behind Harlow's disappearance, so we cannot draw conclusions," Collier said. "The kidnapping of a police officer is not unprecedented, so we are still investigating and hope to find out the real reason for Harlow's disappearance as soon as possible."

According to Marilyn Bennett, a victims' advocate in Montpellier, Harlow's day job includes overseeing the police's daily schedule and involves some personnel management. As a conscientious and responsible police officer, his sudden departure is obviously an "abnormal behavior".

"The unique nature of this case is serious enough for us and for Harlow's family to be deeply concerned," Bennett said.

According to the investigation, Harlow's family is in good financial condition. At work, he has not encountered setbacks, his personal safety has not been threatened, and he has not received any intimidation, so his disappearance has nothing to do with the above factors.

Bennett also mentioned that, as a healthy and strong man, Harlow often went camping and fishing in his spare time.

At present, this case is mainly investigated by the Montpellier Police Department, and the Bell Lake Valley Police Department will also provide appropriate support. If the former couldn't find Harlow within 48 hours, they would file a request for assistance with the state police.

Collier said police have no leads at this time.Harlow was last seen wearing light-colored jeans, a dark blue hoodie and a pair of Nike basketball shoes. The car he was driving was a silver 2007 Nissan Estella SUV.

"I want to say to Glenn, if you can see this interview, please call us and let us know." Collier said, "Also I am here to urge the public, if you see Glenn or suspected Glenn Anyone with information on the matter, please call and let us know. Any citizen with information can contact the Montpellier Police at 208-847-4000."

The Montpellier police station is under review by the district attorney over allegations of abuse of police force. After that, the two cases investigated by the police station were stopped because of suspected violent law enforcement. The Idaho State Police Guild confirmed that the two cases were in fact the same officer, Ron Previn, a detective who had been fired.Collier said Harlow himself had no connection to the investigation of either case.

Glenn Harlow stepped out of Pocatello Airport into his own car and vanished. The last person to see him was the airport security officer who waved to him at the airport exit.

Nash made a formal request to assist in the investigation, but was denied. It is not the FBI's job to find a missing police officer, let alone that the officer may have voluntarily deserted his post; and the Montpellier police department will not seek assistance from the FBI, so Nash used his never-taken annual leave, Back in the Bell Lake Valley.

Glenn had been missing for 36 hours when Nash returned. If Glenn did not disappear on purpose, then the possibility of him returning unharmed is very small; if Glenn disappeared on purpose, it would be impossible for the police to find him.The police suicide rate is twice that of the general population. They are two to three times more likely to commit suicide than to die at the hands of criminals. And most of the time, friends and family are totally unprepared for their death.

Glenn probably parked the car in a deserted place. At this moment, he was sitting in it, half of his head had been blown off by a bullet.Nash tried not to think about that scene, but he had reviewed so many crime-scene photos over the years that it was all too easy to conjure up all kinds of bad scenarios.

Chief Collier told Nash: "Glenn was...has always been...a man of few words. Sometimes he was in a bad mood, and he seldom went out with his colleagues after get off work."

"Why are you in a bad mood?"

Collier's office in the Montpellier police station is small and untidy. Collier's bulletin board doesn't seem to have been updated since 1896, when Butch Cassidy's gang tried to rob the local bank.Nash was sitting in Collier's office. The sheriff took a sip of his coffee and put down his cup gently: "I don't know. Like I said before, he doesn't talk much about himself. And, Agent West , do you mind if I ask why you are interested in this case? You are crossing the line a bit."

Are you out? That's what Nash asked at the time, and Glenn smiled bitterly and said that this matter is not black and white. To be precise, I have not hidden my sexuality, but there is no one worth coming out to.Do you understand?

Of course, Nash understood. This is what happens to comrades in law enforcement in small towns and rural areas. If you don't even have the opportunity to have sex, then there is no need to cause trouble for your own sexual orientation.

Nash really has no position to come out to his superiors for Glenn. After all, Glenn may come back. After all, apart from coming out, they may find other ways to get along.Nash said: "I like Glenn. We hit it off. He dropped me off at the airport and disappeared. I feel like I need to take some responsibility."

"Yes, you are the last person to see Glenn." Collier looked at Nash seriously, his eyes full of understanding.

Nash smiled: "You don't mind multiple helpers, do you? I'm experienced, willing to help, and just available."

"You have the final say on your vacation," Collier stroked his white beard and fell into thought: "But you'd better remember that your assistance is only available until this Sunday night, and we will watch you go to work." Airplane."

Nash nodded and didn't continue to argue: "If you don't stare, I won't have any objections to your police station."

Montpellier is a nice little town.In fact, it's officially a city, but the last census showed a declining population, so it's not the metropolis you know. There are many farms and wildlife sanctuaries around Montpellier, 97% of the population is white, and the median income is about $[-].There are plenty of parks and a few good restaurants in the local area, as well as some pretty sights to see.

Overall it's a quiet and peaceful place. But then, the investigation has to start with the victim.

On the surface, Glenn's life looks like an open book, or a public website. In this case, his life is the official website of the Montpellier Police Department.Nash had dinner with the entire department on his first day in Belle Lake Valley. After that, he returned to the hotel and began to recall the basic information collected that night.

Inspector Glenn Harlow - Office No. 2B2: He lives in Belle Lake most of the time. After graduating from Bell Lake High School, Officer Harlow began working in law enforcement while taking a law enforcement course at Idaho State University. He graduated in May 2001 and was hired in June 5 by the Custer County Sheriff's Office in central Idaho as a dispatcher and corrections officer.Officer Harlow was hired by the Montpellier Police Department in August 2001 as a patrol officer.Since then he has participated in a number of training programs, including Inspector and New Criminal Investigator courses, Sheriff Academy, Incident Command and Breathalyzer Specialist courses.Officer Harlow is delighted to be working with the Montpellier Police Department and looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of Montpellier in the years to come. From June 6 to August 2002, 8, Harlow was appointed Acting Superintendent of the Montpellier Police Department.

Nash fell in love with Glenn the first time he saw him.He likes Glenn's appearance, after all, he is very handsome, and he also likes Glenn's temperament.Glenn was easygoing, quiet but capable, and this trait deeply attracted Nash, because he was not a pushy person himself.Glenn's questions during the training are often to the point, and he has expressed a lot of useful insights. He is not just a rhetoric like Officer Walker.

Nash didn't realize Glenn was gay until that night at a team dinner. He doesn't believe in Kedar, but he admits that there is an unspoken sensibility between comrades, and it doesn't just come from eye contact or the swipe of fingers when passing a salt shaker .But whatever it is, it's pretty accurate. Before the apple pie and coffee were served, Nash knew that Glenn was gay, and that Glenn was interested in him.

It's a pity that everyone on the night was very interested - although not about the same things. The freshness of the arrival of the FBI agents made a group of police officers extremely excited, and everyone quarreled all night until the restaurant closed.

"Good night." Nash greeted with a wry smile, and shook hands with Glenn in the aisle outside the restaurant.

Under the moonlight, Glenn's smile was somewhat regretful, not much better than Nash's wry smile. "Good night." Then, he asked impulsively, "Can I treat you to breakfast tomorrow?"

Nash grinned: "Okay, what time do we have to get to the office tomorrow?"

"Eight o'clock."

"Pick me up at seven."

That's how it started. They had eggs and bacon together the next morning, but before that, Nash knew they were going to sleep together that night.

Of course, the actual sleep did not last long.

But how much can you understand a person in just one week?If there's one thing his work in law enforcement taught Nash, it's that it's that one person can't really know another.Humans are the most elusive animals on this planet.

It is also the most dangerous.
