It was already dark when they arrived.

A group of people got out of the car, Xiao En looked up at the house, and said in a teasing tone: "It should be said, now I have finally opened my eyes and see clearly what is going on with those problems on your body." Calling this a "house" might make people laugh out loud. This is basically a huge mansion in the style of classicism.

The little bee clapped her hands excitedly. "The palace!"

"Don't be silly," said Emily in a superior tone. "The place where kings and princesses live is called a royal palace. There is no royal family in our country."

① Emily said but "loyalty" (loyalty), the royal family should be "royalty".

"It's 'royalty,'" Rutledge corrected her as she locked the car. "When you call someone stupid, make sure you're right."

The little bee smiled brightly at Rutledge and grabbed his hand. "I like you, Mr. Rutledge!"

Rutledge stared down at the little girl with a slightly confused expression on his face, then he turned to Sean.

Sean suppressed a laugh and said, "Don't bother Mr. Rutledge, Bee. Come here and take my hand."

Although the little bee pouted, she let go of Rutledge's hand and took Sean.Emily was holding his other hand as a few servants came out of the house to help them carry their luggage inside.

"I don't like him," Emily said as they walked toward the house.

"Don't be so rude, sweetheart," Sean said, glancing back at the man mentioned, who was beside them. "Mr. Rutledge can hear you."

Rutledge was looking intently at the room; he looked as if he hadn't listened to the words at all.

Sean looked away. It's hard to imagine that just a few hours ago, such a well-dressed man with a solemn expression pressed him down and growled emotionally at him, rubbing his ears together.

"But I just don't like him," Emily said stubbornly, though she whispered a little more. "I don't like the way he looks at you."

"The way he sees me?" Sean repeated her words.

"Like a bee looking at a pancake."

Sean forced a smile. This time it was embarrassing to a whole new level. "That's just your imagination, Pumpkin."

"But--"

"That's just your imagination," Sean repeated, hoping Rutledge hadn't heard Emily speak.

Rutledge's expression was stern and tough, and there was no blood on his face.It was the first time in 15 years that the man had returned home to visit his father and family. He was almost as happy as going to jail.

A butler—and there was a butler—opened the door to greet Rutledge and whispered to him, "Master Drake."

Sean led the two girls into the house. They both looked shy and nervous, and Sean had to admit that he wasn't much calmer than they were; he just hid it better.

His first impression of the hall was that it was big—marble and columns everywhere, as well as busts of classical shapes and high raised domes.

"Drake!"

Sean looked up, and saw a tall black-haired woman walking down the stairs, with a smile on her mouth, as if she was vaguely relieved. She hugged Rutledge and kissed him on the cheek.

"Vivian," Rutledge murmured. "You look good."

So this was the sister who persuaded him to come home.

Sean looked at her curiously. The blood relationship is clear at a glance between the siblings. She looks like she is a few years older than her brother, maybe 35 now.

Vivienne pulled away after kissing, and stared at Sean and the two girls over Rutledge's shoulders, but before she or Sean could say anything, two old people walked into the room.

One of them, the taller one, bore a striking resemblance to Rutledge. In fact, if the old man were 30 years younger, they could almost be regarded as twins.Sean thought this must be Rutledge's father, Joseph Rutledge.

"The bad boy is back," Joseph sneered. "I knew it would happen sooner or later."

"Then you're dead wrong," Rutledge said grimly. "I'm only coming back because Vivienne is nagging me. With her attitude, you're pretty much dead."

"Drake!" Vivian said angrily.

"So I'm sorry to disappoint you," Joseph said. "My body is very strong." He was lying. His complexion was almost pale gray. "So you won't be able to get my money for a while."

"You know very well that I don't need your money," Rutledge said.

They stared at each other coldly, and they resembled each other in every way.Sean couldn't help but wonder if Rutledge knew this and hated it.

At this moment, Joseph cast his eyes on Sean.

His piercing black eyes surveyed him from head to toe, making Sean painfully aware of what shabby, cheap clothes he was wearing.

Old Rutledge twitched the corners of his mouth mockingly. "Who is this?"

Rutledge stepped forward to Sean, putting a hand on his shoulder. "This is my love, Sean Wyatt."

The other old man next to him took a sharp breath.

Joseph's expression was impeccable, but even so, the temperature in the room seemed to drop by more than ten degrees all of a sudden.

Sean felt very uncomfortable, although he did not foresee such a situation.

"Sean, this is my father, Joseph Rutledge," Rutledge said softly. The bastard must be secretly laughing in his heart at the moment. "And this is my father's old friend, Nathan Brooks."

"Nice to meet you," Sean said dutifully, wondering if the girl Joseph wanted his son to marry might be the daughter of Mr. Brooks.

"I see," Joseph finally said, and then he looked at the twins with serious eyes. "Are these two?"

Sean resisted the urge to hide his sisters behind him. "They are my sisters, Mr. Rutledge. Emily and Melissa." This time, the little bee shut up obediently and did not argue with the adults about her name. Both girls were moving closer to Sean.

"I see," repeated Joseph Rutledge, and then ordered a maid: "Get the room ready for the guests."

"Just a room for the kids next door to mine," Rutledge interjected. "Obviously Sean is going to have sex with me."

Sean couldn't help flinching.

The veins in Joseph's temples were twitching.Vivian looked at her father worriedly.Mr. Brooks had a look of disgust on his face and made no effort to hide it.

"Do as he says," said Joseph Rutledge, breaking the silence, gnashing his teeth. "Take them to their rooms. Dinner starts in half an hour. Drake, take a step and talk."

Sean turned around and was about to follow the maid when a hand grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"I'll be with you later," Rutledge said, leaning forward to give him a light kiss.

At least the kiss was intended to be light at first, but Sean found his lips stuck to Rutledge's and parted eagerly. He sensed Rutledge's surprise, and Rutledge grabbed him by the neck and began kissing him earnestly. The kiss seemed to never stop.

By the time Rutledge finally pulled away, Sean was almost out of breath.

Sean didn't look at the reactions of the people around him - he could imagine it.

He took the hands of his sisters and followed the maid.

His face was burning hot.
