Draco was sitting in Lucinda's, the best, less Muggle-heavy restaurant he could find.He looked sullen, not because of the rude service from the three waitresses, but because Harry didn't show up until 7:45.He better have an unassailable reason, Draco thought, looking at his watch for the third time in thirty seconds.
"One more glass of red wine, thank you." He said, grabbing the arm of a waitress who hurried past.
"Okay, sir." She nodded, then walked on,
Five minutes later the door to the dining room in front of Draco was opened, and a disheveled Hermione rushed in.He remembered that he hadn't invited Granger to dinner, but his face paled immediately after seeing her flustered and impatient expression.
He stood up abruptly from his seat, not noticing that he dropped the napkin on the table: "What's wrong with Harry?"
"Harry has been attacked. He's in St. Mungo's bed. We've got to get there now." Hermione took his arm, and Apparated to St. Mungo's.
--------
Harry, Hermione, and Ron sat in Lucinda's dining room, smiling warmly and happily at each other.Harry and Ron have just got their dream jobs, the honorable membership of the Aurors. They came out to celebrate it.It was the happiest day of Harry's life, and two years after the Battle of Hogwarts, there was hardly a day they could spare for something like this.
"To Harry and Ron," said Hermione, raising her glass to touch her boyfriend and best friend. "I'm so proud of you."
"Isn't that Malfoy?" Harry asked, distracted by the platinum hair in the dining room door.
They all turned to look at Draco Malfoy at the door of the dining room, his mother standing aside, her arm on him.He was paler than the last time Harry saw him two years ago.He was wearing his usual all-black suit and wore his trademark smirk.
Hermione and Ron glanced away quickly after recognizing Draco. But Harry was staring at his platinum hair carefully and intently. He was whispering to his mother, and then she looked straight at their table.
"Should we leave?" Hermione lowered her voice.
"No," Harry replied before she could finish, "they're not a threat to us right now."
The waiter guided Draco and Narcissa to sit at the table next to Harry's, and the frozen air between them became even more tense.
"Good night." Unexpectedly, Mrs. Malfoy greeted them kindly.
"Good evening," Harry replied equally friendly.
"I'm sorry," he then stood up, thinking that it was necessary to sort out his emotions and get some fresh air, "Excuse me."
Harry stood in front of the men's bathroom mirror, staring at himself in the mirror, breathing raggedly.
"I didn't expect this to embarrass you so much that it ruined your evening." A voice came from the door, and Harry turned to see the owner of the gray eyes leaning against the closed door.
"Oh, no... I mean you... well, I'm fine," Harry said nervously, hating how easily Draco could make him nervous.
A self-deprecating smile appeared on Draco's face: "You see, I'm not the same person I was two years ago. Although I was a jerk, I longed for my father's approval."
"You didn't have to tell me all this," said Harry, the back of his neck burning.
"Actually, I think it's necessary. I was just appointed as Mr. H. Potter's assistant today." Speaking of the new news, he looked away from Harry with some unease.
Harry didn't know what he was supposed to think. He was surprised and worried, even a little confused. Is this a Draco Malfoy trick?
"You should say something," Draco said after a while.
"Why would they put you and me together, especially after what you've done with your family?" Harry's words were far less friendly than he wanted to convey.
"My father is atoning for the crimes he committed in Azkaban, and I am forgiven," Draco stated the facts calmly, the anger and hatred in his heart had been smoothed by time, "I understand that we both Hatred, but I'd love to start over, okay?"
Harry looked Draco up and down, just as Draco was looking at him too.He had never been the kind of guy who lived on vengeance and hatred, and they weren't boys from those two schools anymore.
"I think I'd like to give you a second chance." Harry took Draco's hand, and Draco shook his back, and the two smiled at each other.
--------
"I don't see any need for me to be here, Draco."
"Because he is your son's lover, father, and mother can't come because of work."
"He's been like this for three days and I don't think my arrival will change anything."
"Can't you show some support, Father."
"Oh look."
Harry's eyes fluttered open.He didn't know where he was or who was speaking vaguely. When he opened his eyes fully, he was stunned by what he saw: two platinum-blond men looking down at him.
Lucius and Draco Malfoy.
Harry sat up quickly, forced to let out a groan from the pain. Why is there pain?he thinks.
"Don't sit up," Draco said.
"Why are you here, are you going to kill me?" Harry said hoarsely, the voice was not as loud as expected.
"No, Harry, it's me, Draco."
"Of course I know who you are: your hair betrayed you, why isn't your dad in Azkaban?"
"You were in the hospital and you were injured on a field trip." Draco replied, ignoring Harry's question about Azkaban. "Father, please go and call Hermione."
"What did you do to Hermione?" Harry tried to grip his wand, but he found a spoon instead.
"Hermione is St. Mungo's healer," Draco said.
"Where are my glasses?" Harry asked, and after a few seconds his vision cleared and Draco put them on the bridge of his nose.
"Oh, Harry." Hermione's voice came into the room, and Harry looked at her—with Lucius behind her.
"What's going on, Hermione? Why is Malfoy here?" Harry asked, ignoring his question being heard clearly by everyone in the room.
"Harry, Draco is your husband." Hermione looked at Harry in bewilderment, then turned her eyes to Draco sympathetically, "That's what I was worried about."
"He doesn't remember me, does he?" Draco asked quietly, nodding his head.
Hermione turned her eyes back to Harry again: "Do you know what year this year is, Harry?"
Harry closed his eyes and thought for a moment. "Year 2000, January 2000."
"Damn it." Draco sighed, cursing.
"No, Harry," said Hermione slowly, "today is April 25, [-]."
"That's, no, that's not possible." Harry's eyes filled with confusion. "What's going on, Hermione?"
"You and Ron were under a spell three days ago when you were tracking Theodore Not. We're, well, not sure what spell you're under. Harry, you've lost 15 years of memory."
Harry gasped. He looked at the three people in the room: his best friend Hermione, his old enemy Draco, and the Death Eater Lucius. They both had worried looks on their faces, and looked older than he last remembered. Was he really married to a Malfoy?
"What are we going to do now?" Lucius asked softly, the worry in his tone startling Harry.
"Hmm... I don't know if he'll get his memory back on his own or if we can help him get it back," Hermione replied.
"Harry, I'm sorry." Draco sat on a chair beside him, took Harry's hand, and was disappointed to see Harry pull it away.
"It's completely incomprehensible to me," Harry said to a disappointed Draco.
