love letter

Chapter 6 5

When Will Collins returned to London, only his family and Helena came to greet him.Yes, he's keeping his comeback a secret.

"Will! Let's see, what gift did you bring back for us?" The naughty Rudolph pounced on Will and asked him.

Looking at his naughty brother, Will missed his lover more and more.

He and Helena were engaged and fixed for September - while Lady Swinton was still able to walk.

"Are you thinking that you should cherish the last six months of being single?" Helena asked him jokingly.

"Where is it! It is my honor to marry a beautiful and noble lady like you." Will lowered his head and kissed the back of Helena's hand, "I bought a box ticket for "Hamlet" tomorrow night. We haven't watched an opera together for a long time gone."

"To be honest, I like Wilde's plays, especially "Salome," said Helena. "It's a pity that he doesn't write plays for the British now."

When Will heard the three words "Wilde", he immediately thought of "chicken, adulterer", and recalled the immature wording that Alex used in his love letter back then, the corners of his mouth raised unconsciously.

"What good thing did you think of?" Helena asked.

"It's nothing, it's just a joke." Will casually found a reason to prevaricate.

There seemed to be traces of Alex everywhere in his life, which really made him feel happy and disturbed.

The next night, Will arrives at the theater with Helena. The view from the box on the second floor is very good, and he can clearly see every scene on the stage. The actor who played Hamlet was Mr. Owen, a famous actor at that time. His words and deeds brought the characters in this book to life, and his every move and smile touched the hearts of all audiences. At the end of the performance, deafening applause erupted in the venue.

At the end of the show, Will and Helena walked with the crowd to the theater door. The evening wind of early summer comes in through the open door, bringing with it the coolness of spring. When they were discussing which restaurant to eat at noon tomorrow, a loud call drew their eyes to the back—"Will!"

Will turned his head to see who was coming, and couldn't help but gasp: it was Philip. He came over with a big grin and patted Will on the shoulder: "Will, when did you return to London? Why didn't you tell us? Oh, I see, you must want to be alone with Helena..."

"Philip, long time no see." Will's smile was a little stiff, "Sorry, I'm back in a hurry this time, I forgot to inform you..."

"Wait, let me introduce you, the old man with white hair moving forward is my father." Philip said to Will. When Mr. Lawrence walked in front of Will, he introduced to his father again, "Father, this is my friend Will."

"Hello, Mr. Lawrence." Will offered to extend his hand, "I'm Will Collins."

"Your name has long been known throughout London, Mr. Collins." Mr. Lawrence smiled very kindly, and he looked like a very kind elderly gentleman. "It is my honor that my child has a friend like you."

Will greeted Mr. Lawrence on the surface, but his heart was pounding: he caught a glimpse of the silent Alex standing not far away.

"This is my youngest son Alex. Maybe you already know each other." Mr. Lawrence introduced to Will.He wanted Alex to come over and say hello to Mr. Collins, but his youngest son just turned sideways to look at Will and walked out of the gate without looking back, ignoring the roar of his father behind him.

"I'm really sorry, I was negligent in education." Mr. Lawrence made a guilty expression, "Tomorrow I will ask Philip to bring Alex to invite you to lunch."

Will looked at Alex's back, his heart seemed to be accidentally involved in a meat grinder, and was twisted into messy pieces.

At noon the next day, Will and Helena arrived at the agreed place - Willis Restaurant on time. They met at the noble ball held here.

On entering, Philip greeted them with his characteristic warm style, while his younger brother Alex sat in the seat next to him, buried in a book, not once looking up.

When ordering, Philip asked for many complicated and expensive dishes; Alex only ordered a tuna salad.

When it was Will's turn, he thought for only a second before answering, "Tuna salad." He seemed to be trying to attract the attention of his lover in this way, but unfortunately his boy didn't take it.

Helena gave Will a keen look. She knew that Will hated salad more than anything else.

While waiting for the food to be served, Philip told many interesting things that had happened in London over the past few years. Will responds perfunctorily, occasionally saying "I can't believe it" or "That sounds like a fantasy".He looked at Alex from time to time, hiding himself behind the book so his face could not be seen.So Will could only stare at his beautiful hand.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Alex suddenly closed the book and left the seat.

Before Alex left the table for a few minutes, Will left with the same excuse. He saw Alex smoking a cigarette at the bathroom door.

"Alex!" Will apologized to his lover, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hide from you..."

Alex looked at him, put away the cigarette pack with a blank expression, and took a puff of cigarette: "You said in your letter that you will not be back until October. It seems that you want to cherish your freedom in these few months, don't you?"

"No, Alex, I have to..."

"Oh, I almost forgot, you still have a fiancée." Alex pointed out sharply, "You plan to tell me when you get married, right?"

Alex leaned against the wall, looked down at the ground, gripped the cigarette handle with two fingers of his right hand, and took a puff.

At this moment, Will suddenly took the cigarette out of his mouth and blocked his mouth. The smell of tobacco in Alex's mouth hadn't had time to dissipate. He stares at Will with wide eyes in surprise, while he closes his eyes and enjoys the kiss. Will stuck his tongue into Alex's mouth, sucking his sweet juice all over, as if the choking smell of smoke was gone.

It took a while before Will left his lips, and coughed violently from the inhalation of tar.Alex laughed at his reaction, a small dimple forming at the corner of his mouth. When Will saw him smile, he laughed too.

"Do you love me?" Alex asked, looking him in the eyes.

"Love," Will replied, coughing.

"What about Helena Swinton?"

"...Love too. I love you both." Will's eyes are a little dodgy, "Alex, you know, I'm a public figure, and all eyes in London are watching me. I need marriage, I need child."

Alex's bright blue eyes dimmed a bit.He was silent for a while, and replied: "Okay. Seeing that you are not a devout Christian... After all, variety is the spice of life."

The two walked back to the table side by side.Seeing that the two reconciled, Philip asked curiously, "What did you say?"

"Nothing," Will replied. He glanced at Alex, who put away his book and looked back at him.The two looked at each other and smiled.

As for Helena at the side, her sixth sense told her that her fiancé must have an unusually intimate relationship with this boy.
