Chen Lifeng was reprimanded by Manager Liang over the phone as he was now more aggrieved than anyone else. Chen Lifeng also could no longer get through to Chu Xiang no matter what method he tried. He couldn’t believe that Chu Xiang, who sobbed and intoxicated herself over him the day before, was this heartless the next day. For a moment, he felt that Chu Xiang didn’t love him at all and all this time, his self-satisfaction of stringing her along was nothing but his ego speaking.

This was initially a matter that could have propelled him to victory and was something that he could have taken advantage of. Now that he suddenly suffered such a big loss, he didn’t know how many followers he would lose and how many resources he no longer was able to access.
