"But to think her endowments in the way of the sword has already reached such a level. No wonder she was able to kill that old goat." Old Bi couldn't help but sigh. While his disciple was young with good cultivation, he lacked everything else. While Elder Ning's disciple was already able to jump levels.

Elder Ning, though, felt that something was wrong after he thought about it. Kana had both spiritual qi and a beast core. Theoretically, she should be much stronger than she was now.  He went through the fight with Kana just now and realized something major! Kana had no techniques! He turned and looked at Kana, who was meditating, trying to heal her wounds, and felt that this little girl was truly a prodigy. With only using sword qi, her innate fire breath, and her special movement technique, she was able to do the impossible. She may have resorted to her soul at the end of the battle, but the fact that she pushed the old bastard into such a position was already enough to make her one of the best of the younger generation. If she can make the list of the heavens chosen, she would be known far and wide.

It was not clear who controlled the heaven's chosen list, but there was one thing that Elder Ning did know. And that was that there were two ways to get on it. First was the heaven's chosen tournament that happened every ten years, and then there was defeating someone stronger than you. If your achievement and power are greater than someone else on the list, then your name would take over that spot. But the list only had one hundred names. And the names were constantly changing. In truth, no one really knew who had control over the name list or how they knew who battled who. But which clan or person it was that oversaw it, never missed anything.

As far as he knew, there was only one person in the entire Dustwind Kingdom that was on there as of this date, and that was the heavens chosen of the He family, He Tangqi. And he got on by entering the top one hundred during the last tournament. The Heaven's Chosen torment was even more prestigious than the Dragon Festival. Elder Ning made a mental note to be sure to check the scroll of the heaven's chosen when he went back to the sect. Killing Di Sang, even if he was weakened, was still a major thing.

"She has always been good with the sword." Thinking further, Elder Ning realized that Kana's daughter was also a freak when it came to the sword. Letting out a sigh, he couldn't help but mumble out loud: "Her whole family is a bunch of freaks…."

"I can tell she has put in a lot of work. Han, you can learn from her." Old Bi turned his attention to his disciple, who was standing there lost in thought. His words seemed to have snapped him out of his daze.

"Master is right…. I was too overconfident." After thinking it over, he really could not be angry with Kana. He had thought too highly of himself and thought that there was no one his match below the foundation establishment realm. But he learned today that a single casual swing of a sword from this girl could easily kill him. Now he couldn't help but take in the words his master told him that the peak foundation establishment realm cultivator she killed was an old monster. Seeing her wounds, the battle must have been fierce. "Master, the person she fought before coming here?"

"Hmmm? Di Sang. He is an elder for a devil sect…." Old Bi's words left Han Yuming even more dumbfounded. A devil cultivator was in a sense stronger than a normal cultivator, and for him to also be someone who was once very powerful with lots of experience, it seemed he truly kicked a metal plate when he tried to be prideful in front of the young girl.  Now he felt ashamed. But a light was burning in his eyes that he had not felt in a while. "Master, I will grow stronger. Much stronger, and one day, I will beat her."

"Haha! Good! This is what I wanted to see. You still have time until the dragon festival. Grow stronger, and hopefully, you will be able to have a rematch with her." Old Bi was happy his disciple was able to grow some out of this. And much faster than he had ever imagined. That was a good sign. He had been stuck fighting people much weaker than him for so long that his arrogance had nothing to keep it in check. But one loss to a little girl of a lower realm than him fixed it all in a matter of minutes. He was very happy with this outcome. "When you are in the mystic realm, keep an eye on the little girl. She is still injured."

"Yes, Master." Han Yuming nodded. All his hate was now gone. He now wished to befriend someone who he could finally use as a rival to grow stronger. Unlike other boys, he did not see Kana as a person to try to form a man and woman relationship with but a pure rivalry relationship.

At that same moment, a voice came from overhead as a shadow cast down on the ground. "Elder Ning."

Elder Ning looked up to see Lord Yong with a few disciples slowly descending from the sky. "Oh, you are earlier than expected."

"Yeah, these brats wanted to hurry up and get here when they heard Kana was going to be showing up."

Elder Ning looked over to see Ming Xiafan and Li Tangxin both looking down from above. There were also a few inner sect disciples with them as well. He knew the two of them would be showing up but never realized they had such a good relationship with Kana. But when he thought about it, the two might look up to Kana more than anything.

When Lord Yong landed his flying boat, he looked over at Kana, and his eyes instantly became cold. "Elder Ning, what happened!?"
