#32 - Chapter 32: First Experience of Dragon's Kingdom of Solbe

As Monkey D. Dragon walked out of the ship's cabin, he saw the bustling city of the Sorbet Kingdom. He rubbed his head, which was tired from the long journey, and then looked back at the cabin.

"Sorry for making you bring us, Dragon," a gentle voice sounded from inside the cabin.

Then, a woman with tea-colored hair walked out of the cabin with a child in her arms, her face full of smiles.

Dragon said sternly, "We're going to the same destination anyway, it's no trouble."

Dragon and the woman got off the warship, and then followed the information to walk through the bustling streets, heading directly to the naval base.

There were many shops on both sides of the street, and many of the things they saw were for the first time, but they didn't stop. These things weren't too attractive to them.

After crossing several streets, a much more luxurious naval base appeared before them. The number of marines on the street was also significantly higher, but most of them were walking in a hurry.

From time to time, gazes lingered on Dragon, mostly from young girls, and occasionally there were giggles, full of youth and vitality.

It could be seen that even in the economically prosperous Sorbet Kingdom, there were not many men as handsome as Dragon.

Dragon didn't care much about the gazes cast at him. He kept a cold face from beginning to end, his black eyes like a deep abyss. Although he was not very old, he had the appearance of an old soul.

"Dragon, there are quite a few young girls looking at you with interesting eyes," Zephyr's wife said with a chuckle, covering her mouth with one hand.

Hearing this, Dragon's expression tightened a little, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly, "I'm still young..."

"Hehe, I'm just kidding, look at your reaction," the woman laughed directly, disregarding her image.

Sometimes Dragon really wanted to cry. His elders were all unreliable, and they didn't look like they were supposed to at their age...

Suddenly, there was a commotion on the street ahead, and people scattered in all directions. A group of soldiers in armor marched in formation towards the port.

"The armed forces of this country are not bad, but why are people so afraid of them?" Dragon felt that there must be something fishy about this.

"You must be from out of town," a sweet-looking girl next to him noticed Dragon's confusion and lowered her voice, "This is actually a traditional performance of the current king, you don't need to take it to heart."

"Can you tell me what's going on?" Zephyr's wife's curiosity was piqued.

The girl looked around and, seeing that no one was paying attention, explained to Dragon and the others, "In the past two years, with Colonel Jhin's governance, the sea has been much calmer, and people have become more and more admired and respected Colonel Jhin."

"Well, I've always heard that Jhin is loved and respected, I didn't expect him to do so well, this should be a win-win for your country," Dragon nodded, very much agreeing with Jhin's approach.

"You're wrong about that. Maybe the king feels his authority is threatened, so he's increased a lot of unnecessary drills," the girl sighed.

This is just gods fighting and mortals suffering. The king wants to show his people that his army can also protect the country, but people are very resentful of the king's actions.

This has had a serious impact on their lives, but they don't dare to speak out...

"This king is too much!" Dragon said angrily, "Isn't there anyone to take care of him?"

"......"

The girl looked at Dragon with a 'are you stupid' expression.

"What's wrong? Am I wrong?" Dragon was a little confused.

Zephyr's wife looked at the young man who had been focusing on catching pirates: "Dragon... who do you think has the greatest power in a country?"

"Of course it's the Kin...g?!..." Dragon blurted out.

The girl spread her hands: "Look, don't you know..."

"I... you... he!" Dragon was dumbfounded by his own stupidity, "How can this king be so outrageous, he's simply inhuman."

"Colonel Jhin also personally went to communicate with the king face to face, but unfortunately, in the end, nothing could be changed," the girl felt a little better when she talked about Jhin.

The king manages all the affairs of the country, and no one can object. The navy is only responsible for maintaining security and has no right to question the king.

The king can even order the navy of his country to work for him.

"But it's okay, this kind of thing is rare to see once a year. What's wrong with this old emperor, it hasn't been long since the last time," the girl had a good attitude and was only slightly dissatisfied with her current life.

Dragon pursed his lips slightly. If someone familiar was next to him and saw Dragon's action, they would know that he was angry.

"I have something to do, so I'll leave first. Be careful to avoid the king's soldiers," the girl saw that the soldiers had disappeared, so she said goodbye to Dragon and left.

Zephyr's wife looked at Dragon calmly: "Don't you feel it's absurd that just because of a decision of the king, people can only silently endure those things that could have been avoided?"

"......"

"There are many things like this in this world. While focusing on catching pirates, you can also take a look at what this world is like."

Karp has always protected his son very well, so Dragon's experience is still too little.

Maybe Karp discovered this, so Dragon is here now.

"Let's go, let's go see what Jhin, who has always been praised by Karp, looks like," the woman said as she walked forward with the child in her arms.

Dragon felt a sense of powerlessness as a marine for the first time, and he began to doubt the justice he had always believed in.

"Navy... Navy..."

Dragon was lost in thought, his feet moving lightly to keep up with the woman's pace.

In the lobby on the first floor of the naval base, the staff in charge of receiving guests looked helpless. Every time someone looked for Colonel Jhin, he was never there.

"We have already called Colonel Jhin to inform him," the receptionist estimated the time, "We can only ask you to wait a little longer. He has gone to deal with some matters and will need some time to return."

"You guys go ahead, we'll just wait here."

Zephyr's wife didn't mind. She knew that the closer you were to the grassroots, the more things there were to do and the busier you would be.

Originally, she didn't need to wait here with Dragon, but after what happened just now, she was still very curious about what kind of person Jhin was.

"......"

"Kid, you better be honest with me! Do you think you're still that high and mighty World Noble?"

"Under my hands, if it's a dragon, it coils for me, if it's a tiger, it crouches for me. If you give me any more attitude, be careful I'll spank you!"

Under the gaze of everyone, Doflamingo was dragged to the naval base by Jhin, who was holding him by the collar.
