Mystery: I Married the Queen of Mystery

#332 - I am a dividing line

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their support and understanding!

The second part is finally finished, and towards the end, it really felt like I was forcing myself to complete it.

In the latter half, the number of subscriptions was much lower than at the end of the first part. When I noticed this problem, I thought it was because the original characters hadn't appeared for a while, so I immediately arranged an adventure with Fors and further development of the original plot.

But I soon discovered that the subscriptions only increased a little. Then I thought it might be because the advancement was too slow, so I quickly arranged for the advancement to Sequence 5, but the subscriptions still only increased a tiny bit.

At this point, I noticed that the chapters where Bernadette appeared had particularly good subscription rates, even better than the Tarot Club chapters. Only then did I realize that the problem was that the female lead didn't have enough screen time!

So I thought about adding more scenes with Bernadette. But then I realized a drawback of having the 'Mysterious Queen' as the female lead: whenever she appears, the difficulties the protagonist encounters will be easily resolved.

Therefore, I could only grit my teeth and finish writing the remaining dozen or so chapters that were difficult to cut.

At the same time, I was also thinking about how to handle the interaction between Bernadette and the protagonist, because if Bernadette is too proactive, it would be uninteresting, and the protagonist is only Sequence 5 right now, so it's not good for him to be too proactive either.

Before, Bernadette appeared less often, largely because of this. I felt it was difficult to control the plot when the two of them were together. It was precisely because she appeared so little that my original plan to advance their relationship at the end of this part fell through.

Just at this moment, I came across a video, a clip from 'My Sassy Girl,' which gave me an idea. I could handle their interaction in a way that the female is slightly more assertive.

So, in the future, Bernadette's scenes will increase significantly.

Having talked about my self-reflection process, let me preview the plot of the third part.

The timeline of the third part will roughly be when the war between Loen and Fursac begins.

Next, the protagonist will use the 'Iceberg General's' channel to go to Lenburg and develop his own power there, and Bernadette will accompany him in this process. After developing for a period of time, the protagonist will also return to Backlund.

The Backlund plot is mainly designed to strengthen Audrey's scenes, as requested by the majority of readers. These plots were not in my outline.

Finally, let me report to everyone that the average subscription for this book is almost two thousand. After it exceeds two thousand, I will definitely add an extra chapter.

In addition, I will continue to write during the Chinese New Year. I feel that the New Year is quite boring now, and I am not very willing to visit relatives, so I will still update 10,000 words for a few days at the end of the month, like last month.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone an early Happy New Year and thank you again for your support and understanding throughout the year.

Thank you all!
