Myriad Realms Store Owner of Harry Potter
Chapter 7 Entering the Castle
The cold air on the platform made Ryan shiver when a rough voice came, First-year freshman! First-year freshman here!
Ryan saw a burly man standing out among the group of students, holding a lamp in his hand. The hair on his head was so thick that it almost covered his entire face. A pair of beetle-like black eyes gleamed in the tangled hair.
This should be Hagrid, the guard at Hogwarts. Above the crowd of thousands of people, Hagrid's bearded face was smiling. Come on, come with me, any freshmen? Watch out for your feet, alright! Come with me!
All the freshmen followed Hagrid down a rough and dark path stumbling down the slope. Neville almost slipped, but Ryan helped him in time.
Cut this corner and you're about to see Hogwarts for the first time, Hagrid called back.
Turning the corner, even though Ryan's soul was in his thirties and mentally prepared, he still opened his mouth wide and exclaimed with his classmates.
At the end of the narrow path suddenly opened a black lake. On the high hillside on the other side of the lake stands a majestic castle with spires and windows twinkling under the stars.
No more than four people per boat! cried Hagrid, pointing to a line of boats moored on the shore. Ryan and Hermione got into the boat, and Neville followed.
Are they all on board? cried Hagrid, who was in a boat by himself. That's good to move forward! A group of boats immediately sailed forward across the lake with waves as flat as a mirror.
This is the entrance ceremony of the freshman. Ryan looked at the towering castle and recalled the books he read in his previous life.
Back then, the four founders should have followed this road, driving a boat across the Black Lake to Hogwarts, so the later students have to walk this road again.
The fleet approached the castle slowly, Bow your heads! Hagrid shouted as the first boats approached the cliff. All bowed their heads, and the boat carried them through the ivy curtain that covered the face of the cliff to the hidden open entrance.
They followed what seemed to be a dark tunnel to the base of the castle, eventually reaching what looked like a subterranean pier, and then climbing up a ground of rubble and small pebbles.
Everyone followed Hagrid up a flight of stone steps and gathered in front of a huge oak door. Are you all here? After asking, Hagrid raised a huge fist and knocked three times on the castle gate.
The door opened immediately. A tall, dark-haired witch in an emerald green robe stood before the gate with a serious expression. This should be Professor McGonagall.
First-year freshman, Professor McGonagall, said Hagrid.
Thank you, Hagrid. Leave it to me here.
Then Professor McGonagall motioned for all the freshmen to follow her. The stone walls on either side of the passage can be seen surrounded by flaming torches; the ceilings are barely visible; and on the front is a grand marble staircase leading upstairs.
Turning a corner, Professor McGonagall led the first-year students into a small empty room down the hall. Everyone swarmed in, rubbing shoulders together, staring nervously at everything around them, because it would be a very important moment.
Welcome to Hogwarts, said Professor McGonagall. The opening feast is about to begin, but before you enter the dining room, you must first determine which house you are going to. Classification is a It's an important ceremony because the house is like your home at Hogwarts while you're at school. You're going to class with the rest of the house, living in the house's dorms together, and spending time in the house's common room together. After school time.
The names of the four Houses are: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own glorious history, and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards.
During your time at Hogwarts, your outstanding performance will earn your House points, and any infractions will cost your House points. At the end of the year, the college with the highest score receives the College Cup, which is a high honor. I hope that no matter which college you are assigned to, you can win glory for the college.
In a few minutes, the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school. I suggest that while you wait, you should sort out yourselves and be more alert.
I'll pick you up when it's ready over there, said Professor McGonagall. Please keep quiet while you wait.
After speaking, Professor McGonagall left the room.
The atmosphere in the small room became tense, except for Ryan, who was a traveler. Neville next to him seemed to be shaking slightly. And Hermione's lips kept squirming, as if reciting something. After all, Hogwarts is the only wizarding school in the UK, and it would be a lifetime of shame to be kicked out.
Ryan looked around and found that everyone, including the freshman from a wizarding family, was nervous. It seems this is an ancestral prank. He couldn't help but pity the British sense of humor.
Just when everyone was very nervous about the situation afterward, twenty or so ghosts suddenly appeared on the wall behind them. The ghosts slid across the room, paying little attention to these first-year students. They seem to be arguing about something.
Suddenly they seemed to have discovered the new born, New born! a chubby monk smiled at them. I think, presumably preparing for a test?
Some students nodded silently. Hope you get a Hufflepuff! said the friar. I used to go to that house. Move forward now, said a high-pitched voice. The sorting ceremony is about to begin.
Professor McGonagall is back. The ghosts drifted in a file through the opposite wall and disappeared. Now, in a single line, Professor McGonagall said to the first-year students, follow me.
Passing through the foyer, the door of the auditorium opened, and the freshmen lined up to enter the auditorium. There were four long tables covered with golden cutlery. There were many students at the tables, but each long table had a section, which should be reserved for Newborn.
Ryan raised his head and looked at the miraculous ceiling. Through the transparent dome, he could see the little stars in the sky. It's hard to believe it's really not open air. Thousands of lit candles floated in the air, illuminating the entire restaurant without a drop of wax oil, not a shred of smoke. It also shows the extraordinary and school heritage of these candles.
Hermione's voice came from the side: Spells have been cast here, and it looks like the sky outside. I read it in Hogwarts, A History of the School.
Professor McGonagall gently placed a four-legged stool in front of the first-year students, and placed a top wizard hat on the stool.
This should be the Sorting Hat that has been infused with wisdom by the Big Four, and one of the cornerstones of Hogwarts, but seriously. When he thought that this thing was used every year, but it had never been washed, Ryan felt that his scalp seemed a little itchy.
Soon, after listening to the hat's annual song, Professor McGonagall took a few steps forward, a roll of parchment in hand.
Anyone whose name I call now puts on a hat, sits on a stool, and waits for the branch.
The highlight of the opening of the school, the sorting ceremony began.
