Myriad Realms Store Owner of Harry Potter
Chapter 12 Flight Lessons
Throughout the weekend, Lane was called by Hermione to the library to read books except for a lap around the Black Lake on Saturday morning. Originally Ryan didn't want to go, but after observing in the common room for a few days, he found that the entertainment projects in the wizarding world were nothing more than chess and card games or Quidditch. For Ryan, who had traveled from the information age, it was really boring. In contrast, the various magical books are more interesting.
In addition to reading books, Ryan sat by the fire in the common room and chatted with his classmates on vacation nights. Sometimes, some classmates would ask about their homework, and Ryan patiently helped them answer them.
While helping his classmates, Lane finally understands why professors get angry when they grade their homework. Some people copied the original text from the textbook in large paragraphs, and some people didn't make sense of the logic of the paragraphs before and after. In the most extreme case, even when the number of words in the deformation class homework was not enough, they took a section of the potions class homework. Not to mention a ton of grammatical and spelling mistakes that even Ryan hadn't made in his last life.
It can only be said that the teachers at Hogwarts are very good-natured. If he were replaced as a teacher, he would definitely swell the paws of a few opportunistic bear children.
Looking at the pleading eyes of the classmates like small animals, the soft-hearted Ryan could only sigh silently. Inspire these little guys to do their homework a little bit, and teach them the format of writing papers in previous lives.
However, on Sunday night. Ryan also firmly refused some students' requests to copy homework.
Days passed by like this, and Ryan slowly established an image of a good man with principles among his classmates in Gryffindor. At the same time, of course, is Hermione Granger's somewhat withdrawn nerd image. Ryan had hinted to Hermione about this a few times, but unfortunately she still went her own way.
Finally, more than a month after school started, a notice was posted in the Gryffindor common room that flying lessons were to begin on Thursday—Gryffindor students were going to join Slytherin students. Aside from being a bit frustrating with Slytherin, the other news is pretty exciting.
In the days after the notice was posted, everyone from the wizarding family was chattering about Quidditch except Neville Longbottom. Ryan had heard a lot of stories, but he really couldn't understand the fun of Quidditch.
However, Lane also learned from the chats of his classmates that every few years, there will always be one or two little wizards who are forced to apply for exemption from studies because of an insurmountable fear of heights, and then die socially as cowards in the courtyard. He silently prayed that he would not be one of these unfortunate people.
In the heated discussion of everyone, the time came to Thursday. At breakfast in the morning, Hermione kept reciting some flying instructions she had read from a library book called Quidditch Origins. All but Neville were a little annoyed by her chatter.
Looking at this situation, Ryan made a quiet gesture to Hermione. This is actually the same as swimming. No matter how much theory you learn, it's useless. The most important thing is to try it. Hermione opened her mouth, as if to refute something. But the owl's letter interrupted what she was about to say.
Neville's grandma sent her a memory ball. The result was almost snatched by Malfoy, but fortunately, Professor McGonagall came quickly to deal with the matter.
At 3:30 in the afternoon, the first-year students of Gryffindor and Slytherin came to the former field to prepare for their first flying lessons. The weather was fine and it was a good day for flying.
There are dozens of flying brooms neatly lined up on the ground. I heard from the seniors that these brooms are old, and some of them can even be called antiques.
Ryan glanced at the broom. It turned out that many broom branches had fallen off a lot, and the place where the end of the hand was held was also glowing with the warmth of the plate. It appears that the condition of these brooms is worrying.
Their teacher Mrs. Hooch came.
She has short grey hair and yellow eyes like those of an eagle. She is a very capable looking lady.
Okay, what are you all waiting for? she snapped. Everyone stands next to a broomstick. Quick, quick, hurry up.
When everyone is standing. Mrs Hooch shouted from the front: Put your right hand over the broom handle and say: 'Get up!.'
Get up! A messy voice came out.
Less than one-fifth of the brooms obeyed. Clearly Ryan was the four fifths, and his broom just rolled on the ground.
Fortunately, after a dozen repeated shouts, the broom finally jumped into his hands.
Then Mrs. Hooch showed them how to get on the broom without slipping off. Ryan looked very seriously, although he knew Madam Pomfrey's craftsmanship was very good. Even if an entire arm's bones are gone, they can regrow in one night. But as a normal person, I definitely don't want to enjoy the advanced medical level of the magical world.
After correcting everyone's gestures, they entered the actual operation stage. After a whistle sounded, everyone floated up and hovered about one meter above the ground. After a few minutes of testing, Ryan found that he might not be good at broomsticks, no matter how he practiced, he could at most be able to ride.
Just as Ryan returned to the ground according to Mrs. Hooch's instructions, there was an exclamation from the side. It turned out that Neville was too nervous, which caused his broom to get out of control, and the whole person rose rapidly. Then he failed to grasp the broom, and fell from the sky.
Lane originally thought, according to his memory of the original book, that Neville would fly up and have an accident before Mrs. Hooch blew the whistle. So be prepared to act early to avoid things from happening. But there was no problem until Mrs. Hooch blew the whistle, and Ryan thought his butterfly wings had fanned the accident.
After seeing Neville soar, Ryan subconsciously took out his wand from his pocket. Then, when he fell, he chanted a floating spell on him.
It's a pity that Ryan's spell is self-taught, and the effect is not good. Neville just paused in the air for less than a second, then fell heavily on the grass.
Madam Hooch nervously ran forward to check Neville's situation.
I broke my wrist, maybe a little bit of a bone fracture. Everyone heard her whisper. It seems that the floating spell still has some effect, which is much better than the original fracture. However, it is very likely that the system did not respond because the change was small, but at least it helped one person, and Ryan felt very happy.
All right, kid—it's alright, get up. ' said Mrs. Hooch, helping Neville up.
She turned and warned the rest of the class to put the broom back in its place. After that, I took Neville to the school hospital.
