Huo Mian, or Leila, looked at him in surprise, finding he was unreadable.

She had thought she knew him well, but looking at his unreadable face, she realized she had never understood him.

"I thought you… don't want to sleep with me," Huo Mian said hesitatingly.

"But you're right. You're my wife; we can't always sleep in separate rooms. Do you want to take a bath with me?" Qin Chu asked her.

Leila felt nervous…

"I'm… not ready yet. Give me some time."

"Hehe. When do you need time to get ready for our intimacy? Mian… you said I changed, but I think you've become a stranger to me."
