My Special Ability is Perfect Replication

Chapter 249 - One-Man Show, Killing Machine

While a dozen giant dragonflies surrounded the three stellar beings, the Plasma Bugs launched brutal attacks, causing enormous damage to the city wall and massive casualties to other arcanists.

The situation had taken a turn for the worse and became parlous.

Everyone fell into despair upon seeing what happened.

Would Bao’an Base City fall and be destroyed like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other coastal base cities?

Yang Ling’er was one of the arcanists fighting the Insectoid army. She was now in despair. Previously, she dominated the leaderboard in the training camp every week, well-deserving as the number one arcanist, and beat every single direbeast on the Australian mainland.

She had been so good at the game that she became overqualified for the Super Training Camp. And that was why she went to the Ultimate Matriculation Camp. She had always been confident of her strength.

She had every reason to be so.

At only fourteen, she had become a Level-8 arcanist and possessed two extremely powerful arcanas of Complete Manipulation and Complete Annihilation. She deserved every bit of her confidence.

But at this moment, she had never been in such despair in front of an endless army of Insectoids.

Those insectoids were so powerful that she had to use all her strength just to kill one of them. It took her a long time before she could kill six ordinary giant bugs.

When the ordinary Insectoids were already so difficult to kill, more so the stronger Plasma Bugs, Tanker Bugs, Pulse bugs, Dragonflies, and Reaper.

What made matters worse was, the Insectoid army was pouring onshore like an endless sea.

How would they fight this battle?

Could they really withstand the Insectoid army with just a few of them?

“Are we going to die here?”

Yang Ling’er had thought of this more than once.

“What is that?”

Just then, a surprised cry came to ears.

“Come on! Concentrate on fighting the enemy!” Someone was not too happy and scolded.

“No! Look. It looks like someone is hovering over there!”

That person quickly explained and then pointed in a direction. The others looked toward where that person pointed and saw a figure.

“Huh? There really is someone!”

“Who is that? Why is that person hovering there?”

The arcanists looked puzzled, and the personnel in charge of the live stream panned the camera at the person in the sky.

“Who is that? Reinforcement?”

People saw that person through the live stream.

When Yang Ling’er saw that person, her heart skipped a beat, her chest heaving in excitement. “My brother! That’s Ling Jiu, my brother!”

That someone hovering in the air was none other than Ling Jiu, who had arrived at Bao’an Base City just in time.

He had first swept his eyes over the city the moment he arrived. After knowing that Ling’er was safe, he could not help but breathe a sigh of relief. As he cast his eyes on the sea of Insectoids, there was a murderous look in his eyes.

Since I’m already here, here goes nothing!

With this thought in mind, Ling Jiu locked a dozen Plasma Bugs with no hesitation.

Since the Plasma Bugs were the nastiest, he would grab the bull of the horns by targeting them first.

“Kill!”

With the Emissian war blade in hand, he performed a Blink Arcana, appeared over the head of a Plasma Bug, raised the war blade, and slashed down.

When he struck, the weapon in his hand expanded into a 400-meter war blade right above the Plasma Bug.

The Emissian war blade slid down as if on a guillotine, slashing the Plasma Bug in half in an instant. The Plasma Bug struggled a couple of times before becoming lying motionless on the ground.

It so happened that a camera captured this scene and streamed the live footage to the 200 million residents of Bao’an Base City. Everyone went bonkers.

“It’s dead!”

“The Plasma Bug is dead!”

People were cheering in euphoria.

But this was not over yet. After killing a Plasma Bug, Ling Jiu performed a Blink Arcana again and appeared in front of a second Plasma Bug. Without the slightest mercy toward an ugly and cruel invader like this insectoid, he raised his war blade and struck.

Before the Plasma Bug could react, Ling Jiu had cut it in half with his Emissian war blade. Its body collapsed to the ground, motionless.

“Down with the second one!”

Ling Jiu’s face looked stern as he performed a Blink Arcana again and came in front of a third Plasma Bug.

The third Plasma Bug was dead.

He then moved on to a fourth, a fifth, and a sixth Plasma Bug.

Eight Plasma Bugs had died at the hands of Ling Jiu in slightly over ten seconds. The scene pushed the emotions of the 200 million people watching the battle through live streaming to a new height.

Students screamed, their faces flushed with excitement, and their voices hoarse but still screaming like crazy.

“Who is this guy? He is amazing!”

The three stellar beings under siege had also noticed Ling Jiu. It shocked them to see how he killed eight Plasma Bugs so effortlessly.

They swore they did not know this guy.

Plasma Bugs were Stellar-Class Direbeasts, their attack was absolutely comparable to that of stellar beings. There was no doubt about this.

Yet this stranger who was called Ling Jiu had killed the Plasma Bugs as if he was cutting some melons and vegetables.

Who was he, really?

How could he be so unbelievably powerful?

“It doesn’t matter who he is. The important thing is, he is on our side to fight off the Insectoid army.”

“Well said.”

On the other hand, the Insectoid army became desperate after Ling Jiu had killed eight Plasma Bugs in a row.

Over a dozen giant bugs over 150 meters long, resembling cockroaches, rose from the Insectoid army and flew toward Ling Jiu. These were the infamous Stellar-Class Direbeast, the Reapers.

Apparently, these Reapers were going to encircle Ling Jiu and kill him.

This tactic looked all too familiar; it was exactly what was happening to the three arcanists. Those people watching the live streaming were silent, watching with bated breath at Ling Jiu.

They would be in grave trouble if those giant praying mantises besieged Ling Jiu, just like what happened to the three stellar beings.

“Be careful, Ling Jiu!”

Yang Ling’er had her heart in her mouth as her eyes were fixated on Ling Jiu in the sky.

The Insectoid invasion had only been going on for three days, but the notoriety of the Reapers had spread far and wide. Even the most powerful Ultimate Arcanists were no match for the Reapers.

Could her brother defeat so many reapers?

Yang Ling’er could not be more worried.

Ling Jiu was the calmest person of all on the scene. He licked his lips as he looked at the giant praying mantises flying toward him from all directions.

“Bring it on! I have some surprises for all of you!”

Ling Jiu put away his war blade and hovered casually in the air, as if he had given up fighting.

This baffled the arcanists and the residents watching the live streaming.

“Has he given up fighting?”

“What is he doing?”

While everyone was watching in puzzlement as a dozen giant praying mantises had come in front of Ling Jiu and were about to strike with their raptorial legs, Ling Jiu opened his mouth all of a sudden and drew air into his mouth.

A black hole of over 1,000 meters in diameter appeared in front of him with super powerful suction force.

Those dozen giant praying mantises were caught unawares and pulled toward the black hole.

They flap their wings frantically, trying to get away from getting swallowed by the black hole.

But it was useless. The suction force of the black hole was too powerful and swallowed them all.

The next second, the black hole vanished, and the sky returned to normal, but the dozen giant praying mantises had gone forever.

“W—what skill is this?”

“Where have the dozen Reapers gone?”

Everyone was stunned.

It puzzled the three stellar big brothers besieged by the giant dragonflies, the arcanists fighting the Insectoids on the city wall, and the 200 million residents watching the live streaming. They were overwhelmed by what they saw.

Was he still a human when he could swallow over a dozen giant praying mantises of over 150 meters long?

Was he transformed from a Taotie?

“Definitely a Stellar-class direbeast!”

Ling Jiu did not know those people were in shock. He was enjoying the pure vitality that kept pouring into his body. He burped with satisfaction when it ended.

These dozen giant praying mantises had provided him an impressive amount of vitality, enough for him to fight another round of intense battle.

But before this, he had to eliminate the Plasma Bugs that posed the greatest threat to the city wall. So he launched an attack with this thought in mind.

Ling Jiu retrieved and sheathed his war blade ten seconds later and looked at the remaining dozen Plasma Bugs—all of them had been cut in half and had died on the spot.

“Those Plasma Bugs are all dead!”

“Dead! They are all dead!”

“The Plasma Bugs are all dead!”

“Long live!”

“Long live!”

Everyone shouted in excitement.

Right now, people treated Ling Jiu as a hero. Even the cameraman doing the live streaming panned his camera at Ling Jiu and filmed his every move.

Ling Jiu did not continue to stay in the air after killing all the Plasma Bugs but swooped down into the midst of the Insectoid army.

“What is he doing?”

People were scratching their heads at seeing what Ling Jiu was doing, wondering why he did not fend off the attack in the air but going down to the army of the Insectoids.

The three stellar big brothers were even more stupefied. Should Ling Jiu not help them get rid of these giant dragonflies and free them at this time? What was he thinking when he lunged into the midst of the Insectoid army?

They had no idea what was on Ling Jiu’s mind. Of course, Ling Jiu could not control what they thought of him. He had only one thing in mind when he jumped into the Insectoid swarm: to fight them with his bare fists.

Yes, fist fighting.

He needed to burn the stored vitality in his body to strengthen his physical body.

“Kill!”

He shouted and came in front of a giant ladybug almost instantaneously, striking at the giant ladybug with a punch and shattered it in an instant.

“Kill!”

He came to another giant ant and again greeted it with a punch.

Ling Jiu slaughtered the Insectoid army around him like a killing machine. None of those Insectoids lunging at him was his match. They either lost a limb or ended up dying instantly as they tried to get near to him.

All the Insectoids within a one-kilometer radius had died within a few minutes. There were no survivors.

His crazy action infuriated the Insectoid army. They stopped attacking the city wall and turned around and rushed toward Ling Jiu.

It seemed that those Insectoids were using the tactic of saturation attack to overwhelm him.

As those Insectoids left the city wall alone, those arcanists could finally launch a counterattack. Just then, Ling Jiu was heard speaking. “Don’t come here. They all are mine!”

Those arcanists looked at each other, struck dumb. What the heck? He did not need our help? Are you kidding me?

As stupefied as they were, they all stopped in their tracks. But they were still at the ready, lunging out to help at once in case Ling Jiu was in danger.

Danger?

Of course, this could not have happened.

Ling Jiu started to show everyone what a real killing machine was.

He was as if a machine that would never feel tired. His fists, legs, elbows, and every part of his body were peerless weapons.

They killed at the slightest touch.

Anything that came near would die.

Ling Jiu started his killing spree from the east to the west, and then from the foot of the city wall to the seashore, leaving behind trails of bug corpses, broken limbs, and body parts.
