My love game is too abstract

#5 - This chicken drum is so tender

Three days later, at dusk.

"Yarrow, I'm hungry ~" Ji Xiaofei followed behind, dragging out her voice as she called out.

"How long has it been before you're hungry again?" Yarrow couldn't help but say.

Although it was already evening, it had only been four hours since the last meal, and if she hadn't dawdled at noon, they wouldn't have wasted so much time today.

"I can't walk anymore," Ji Xiaofei's dissatisfied voice amplified.

"Tsk."

Yarrow looked at the setting sun and decided to rest for the day.

He put down the large pot, set up a campfire, and took the two fish he had caught at noon to the river to clean.

These past two days, they had been walking along the river, camping by its banks.

While cleaning the fish, he pondered the journey ahead.

At this rate, it would take another two or three days to reach the nearest town, where they could take a carriage back.

Actually, he couldn't blame Ji Xiaofei for wanting to rest. They had been rushing from morning till night for the past few days. Yarrow was used to it, but Ji Xiaofei had only recently turned into a girl, so it was normal for her physical fitness to not keep up.

In the past few days, through bits and pieces of conversation, Ji Xiaofei's affection had reached 200, but the challenge that could earn him tokens hadn't been updated. He wondered if there were any other triggering conditions.

After returning, there were still many things to do. Although he had said before that he didn't want to care about Ji Xiaofei, now that he had discovered the wonders of the system, he couldn't leave her unattended anymore. After returning, he would have to get her a kingdom citizenship and find her a job...

While he was thinking, Yarrow suddenly felt a chill, rising from his feet to the crown of his head.

He immediately stood up and looked around, but found nothing. The forest was quiet, with only the sound of flowing water and wind.

"A hallucination?"

Yarrow had the feeling of being watched.

He immediately drew his sword, vigilantly looking around.

"Yarrow, I'm back."

Ji Xiaofei emerged from the forest with a skirt full of mushrooms. Seeing Yarrow holding his sword and looking around warily, she tilted her head in confusion.

"Is something wrong?"

"Xiaofei, do you feel like we're being followed?" Yarrow asked her.

"Followed? Ji Xiaofei doesn't know," she said, tilting her head.

"Forget it," Yarrow thought it was useless to ask her.

Maybe he was just imagining things.

But just in case, Yarrow still kept his sword by his side.

"Yarrow, Yarrow."

"What is it now?" Yarrow looked at her.

"I want to take a bath."

"Whatever," Yarrow lowered his head to prepare the meal, but immediately looked up and added, "Just don't wash in the pot."

"Okay ~"

Ji Xiaofei didn't shy away, took off all her clothes, and jumped into the river.

"Didn't they say chickens are afraid of water?" Yarrow thought, gazing at the joyful figure frolicking in the water.

After washing, Ji Xiaofei climbed ashore, completely naked and wet, and ran towards the forest.

"What are you doing?" Yarrow immediately stopped her.

"Potty," Ji Xiaofei said, "Want to come with me?"

Yarrow waved his hand, telling her to hurry up.

Looking at Ji Xiaofei running around naked, Yarrow was speechless.

"After returning, I have to teach her the rules of human society. How can she be so shameless all day long?"

Dinner was ready, but Ji Xiaofei, who had gone to pick flowers, hadn't returned.

"Why is she so slow?"

Yarrow had just complained when he suddenly remembered the feeling of being watched earlier.

"Crap, could something have happened to her!"

He immediately realized something was wrong, picked up his sword, and ran into the forest.

It was already night, he took out a fluorescent crystal stone, and cautiously stepped into the bushes.

"Xiaofei?"

He whispered, but the dark and silent forest had no response. Every bush and tree trunk illuminated by the fluorescent stone seemed like a figure spying on him.

Yarrow maintained a high level of vigilance, paying attention to every rustle of leaves.

Cold sweat ran down his forehead. He didn't know what he was facing yet, and the fear brought by the unknown fermented in his heart.

If it was just a wild beast, his immature fireball spell could scare it away.

And magical beasts generally don't appear outside the Sano Forest or ruins, so it could only be a person.

Yarrow held the sword in one hand and the glowing stone in the other, ready to fight at any time.

Suddenly, a sound came from the left. He immediately turned around and stared at the bush where the sound came from.

He swallowed and stepped forward slowly.

"Ji Xiaofei?"

He called out tentatively.

There was no response.

He raised his long sword and slowly pried open the bushes.

What he saw made Yarrow's eyes widen!

Half of Ji Xiaofei's body was stuck in a tree hole, leaving only her lower body flailing outside, her little wings flapping, and a muffled groan coming from the tree trunk.

"What are you... doing..."

Yarrow's eyes twitched as he asked.

"Yarrow! Yarrow, quickly get me out! I accidentally got stuck here while chasing a squirrel!"

Hearing Yarrow's voice, Ji Xiaofei immediately shouted.

"Are you an idiot?"

"Ugh, I was just careless, please help me."

Yarrow really couldn't bear to look. He had worried for nothing.

[Ji Xiaofei is in trouble, what to do?]

Heartbeat Options:

[Why are you so careless? I'll help you out right away.]

[I can help you, but how will you repay me later?]

[You useless thing, just stay stuck here for the rest of your life!]

Yarrow stuck the sword in the ground, intending to go up and help directly, but suddenly thought of the previous things.

He stopped, a grin appearing on the corner of his lips:

"I can help you, but how will you repay me later?"

"Repay? I don't know ~"

"Don't know? If you don't know, then get slapped!"

With a snap!

A crisp sound echoed in the silent forest, and Ji Xiaofei in the tree trunk let out a painful groan.

"Ouch! It hurts, Yarrow..." Ji Xiaofei said aggrievedly.

"You only know how to cause me trouble, I must teach you a lesson this time," Yarrow said, shaking his hand and snorting coldly.

Even with her upper body stuck in the tree hole, Ji Xiaofei felt that terrible gaze, and her body trembled.

"Yarrow... has become so scary..."

"Do you know you were wrong?" Yarrow said, rubbing his hands together.

"Ugh... I... I know..."

Feeling the burning pain, Ji Xiaofei's voice was tearful.

Only then did Yarrow pull her out of the tree hole.

Ji Xiaofei, who was finally freed, wasn't happy. Her head was lowered, and she sobbed softly.

"Yarrow is so mean..." she said, sobbing.

Yarrow chuckled in his heart, but still hugged her gently, stroking her head.

"Okay, I was too heavy-handed, but don't make me worry in the future, understand?" he said gently.

Ji Xiaofei raised her head, her pretty and cute face already flushed red, her rosy lips were watery, her eyes were teary, and her golden hair was scattered on her face. This scene was simply irresistible.

"Mmm," she pouted and nodded gently.

Discipline followed by a treat, this formula is too easy to use.

Yarrow wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and took her little hand.

"Alright, let's go back and eat."

Just as he turned his head, he suddenly saw that behind them, a tall figure wearing a tall hat was standing there.
