Belgrade, located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, is the capital of newly-born Serbia. Although Serbia has only been independent for 12 years, this country is very ambitious, and its relations with the surrounding Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania are not good. The only one that is slightly better may be the Principality of Negro, which is still separated from the Ottoman territory.

In just over ten years, Serbia has made trouble for its neighbors, which is considered very powerful.

As for Romania, the relationship between Serbia and Russia is more involved. Romania, as an anti-Russian country, certainly does not want to see a Russian younger brother behind it.

Originally, Tsarist Russia supported Bulgaria the most in the Balkans, but then there was a crisis in Bulgaria due to a change of kings. The Russians, who were somewhat disgraced in Bulgaria, focused their attention on Serbia.

Since you have received benefits from Russia, you need to contribute to Russia, so later there was a war between Serbia and Bulgaria.

Of course, this war has passed, but isn't this a new war emerging? It is still the war between the Ottoman Empire and the Italians that it has been peeping at. The Serbian government, which feels uncomfortable if it cannot get some benefits, is of course eager to get involved and get a share of the pie.
