The next day, Ethan was woken up by a violently vibrating alarm clock.

He stared at the birds jumping on the branches outside the window for a while, then lifted the quilt.

I played at the Savoy Gentlemen's Club until past two o'clock last night, and had another drink when I came back. If I hadn't had to go to work today, I would have had to sleep until the afternoon before getting up.

Yawning, he came to the living room and saw two people lying in the living room covered with blankets. Ethan slapped his head and hurried back to the room to put on his pants.

"Wake up."

Ethan kicked Jabber's foot and shook him awake.

"Did I sleep all day?"

Seeing the dazzling light, Jiabo rubbed his eyes, thinking it was a light.

"I'm going to work. Remember to close the door when you leave."

"Okay, I understand, please leave quickly and don't disturb me when I sleep."

Jiabo pulled the blanket and fell asleep again. Candy had no intention of waking up and fell into a deep sleep.

These two bastards almost drank all their wine last night. After getting drunk, they fell asleep on the floor of the living room. Ethan looked helplessly at his wine cabinet.

After changing into his uniform and going out, he first looked at the place where the clothes were burned last night. There were only a few ashes left inside.

After picking up a shovel and covering it with some soil, Ethan drove away.

When he came outside the police station, he unexpectedly saw someone he hadn't seen for a long time. He quickly parked the car.

"Hey, long time no see."

Rebecca was wearing a white dress and leaning against the wall of the police station, playing with her fingers boredly when she heard Ethan's voice. She raised her head happily and said, "Why did you come here? I've been waiting for you for a long time."

"What are you doing?" Ethan pointed to her outfit. Rebecca was not wearing traditional Amish clothing.

"Let's find a place to sit." Rebecca forced a smile.

Ethan looked at his watch and said, "Let's go have breakfast."

I walked through the parking lot and arrived at Miles Restaurant. After saying hello to Daria who was busy, I came to my usual seat.

This location is in a corner of Myers' restaurant, with its back against the wall and facing the entire restaurant. It's a good location to get some peace and quiet in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

Rebecca glanced at Dalia, walked over and sat down opposite Ethan.

"Bring me a sandwich and coffee, thank you." Ethan ordered two things casually, and then looked at Rebecca.

"What do you want?"

"Just the same as yours."

"Okay, let's have two."

Dahlia nodded, poked the notebook in her hand with a pen, smiled at Ethan and walked towards the kitchen.

"You and her?" Rebecca put her chin in her hands and blinked.

"Like you, we are all friends. By the way, I haven't seen you for a long time. I sent you a message but there was no reply."

Rebecca leaned back in her chair, her eyes suddenly dimmed

"I was grounded by my tribe for a period of time and was expelled from home yesterday."

"why is that?"

"My family found the mobile phone, cosmetics, and magazines I had hidden at home." Rebecca glanced at the side, and then whispered:

"And some little toys."

At this time, Dalia came over with breakfast, Ethan thanked him and reached out to take it, looking at Rebecca.

Rebecca looked at the sandwich in front of her in confusion. "When I deviated from the way of life of my tribe, I thought they would avoid me, but I didn't expect that I would be directly expelled from my home."

Ethan didn’t know much about the Amish community, except that they were a traditional, conservative religious group composed of descendants of German-Swiss immigrants.

They reject modern high technology and live in isolation.

For tribesmen who violate their way of life and beliefs, they will not talk to you, look at you, or even eat at the same table with you until you repent for what you have done.

The more serious situation is direct expulsion, which is what Rebecca is experiencing now.

Ethan took a sip of coffee and looked at Rebecca, whose eyes were red.

"Then what are your plans next?"

"I don't know either. I just stayed at my uncle's house yesterday. I came here to see you today."

"I can see that you must have been doing well during this time. Did the waiter just have an affair with you?"

Rebecca picked up the sandwich and took a bite, cheering up and teasing him. Ethan smiled and picked up the coffee cup.

After the two chatted for a while, the glass door of Myers' restaurant was pushed open, and Proctor walked straight in.

Ethan put down his cup and said hello, "Mr. Proctor."

"Uncle, why are you here?" Rebecca was a little surprised, then happily stood up and hugged Proctor.

Proctor hugged Rebecca with one hand with a smile on his face, and then took a half step back.

"Ethan, this is my niece Rebecca. Rebecca, this is Officer Ethan Morgan from the Banshee Police Department."

"But I guess you already know each other, right?"

"Uncle, please sit down first, I'm going to use the bathroom." Rebecca smiled sheepishly, and then left quickly

After watching Rebecca leave, Proctor turned around. He sat down unceremoniously, the smile on his face disappeared and his eyes became cold.

"Have you ever fucked my niece."

Proctor's style was still so simple and direct. Ethan said nothing and slowly stirred the coffee with a spoon.

The next moment, a cold light flashed.

Proctor picked up the table knife at hand and quickly stabbed Ethan in the neck.

Ethan's reaction was astonishing, and he blocked Proctor's hand with one hand.

"Can you calm down?"

After a stalemate with Proctor for a while, Ethan said slowly.

Proctor took a few heavy breaths, and after the coffee dripped from his eyelids, he nodded slowly.

Ethan then took back the spoon that dug into Proctor's eyes, and then let go of his hand. The episode ended quickly without disturbing the people next to him.

Proctor threw the fork aside and pulled his tie loose. Ethan smiled, put down the spoon, pulled out a tissue and handed it to him.

"Thank you." Proctor wiped the coffee on his eyelids with a tissue and said stiffly:

"You are brave enough to take action against me."

Ethan finished the coffee in the cup and said, "You are also very brave. You dare to attack the police in public. Believe it or not, I will kill you with one shot."

"Oh, you can try it."

"Okay, let's not say harsh words to each other here. That's boring. What do you want?"

"You stay away from her from now on."

"It depends on what she means. It doesn't matter what I say."

"Hey, calm down." Ethan saw Proctor looking ready to act again and said quickly:

"What, do you want to raise her like a canary? Even if you want to protect her, it's not like this."

"She has been expelled from her family, and you want to expel her friends."

"Friends?" Proctor sneered.

"Anyway, you want her to have a normal life. Do you want her to try again after the sin you suffered?"

After Proctor was silent for a while, he slowly leaned back.
