"Bring them all to the court!" the King said fiercely.

The booklet showed the old soldiers from the Jiang Family, namely General Jiang's disciples, or some who always visited Madame Jiang.

He had made a list of all of them, and was thinking about getting rid of them until today.

"Madame Jiang is missing?" The King was displeased, but it was okay, those people were already enough. The King continued. "Take them all to the gate and release the news that they helped Lord Huai escape, so they will be beheaded every fourth hour, until Lord Huai appears," the King said without showing any emotions.

The guards were shocked.

Some of the officers were their friends.

They had never made any mistakes. Instead, most of them were devoted to the civilians and the country.

Why must they be beheaded because of Lord Huai?

"Do it now!" The King shouted furiously.

The guards got up and hurried away, but even if they were confused, they could not change the King's order.

The news was spread all over the capital, and the civilians were already making a fuss out of it, but it was very quiet in the court.

No one dared to interrogate the King, in case they were beheaded as well.

The Jiang Family was already gone, and they did not want to get involved.

Gu Chaoyan heard the news very fast as well.
