Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#67 - Anduin's Forbidden Forest Lodge
"Hot pot? What's that?" Hagrid asked, unfamiliar with the term.
"It's just delicious food, you just wait, let me deal with this beef first," Anduin said confidently.
Immediately afterwards, Anduin took out his wand and directed the knives in Hagrid's room to cut the beef. There was so much meat that he couldn't eat it all at once. He first sliced out four large plates of beef slices, and then hung the remaining beef outside the hut to freeze.
Then, he took out the large copper pot he had bought in Chinatown from his linen space bag. Anduin didn't expect to use it so soon.
He picked up a few pieces of charcoal from the stove, put them in the copper core in the center of the pot, added water, and chopped some green onions and ginger to cook, and that was it.
Anduin took out chopsticks and said to Hagrid, "Okay, once the water boils, we'll put the meat in and swish it around, then add the sauce I made, and that's it."
Hagrid also sat at the table with a fork in his hand and said, "Is it that simple? What's the difference between this and ordinary boiled meat?"
"You'll know when you taste it," Anduin didn't say much, and smiled.
Then Hagrid began his first hot pot journey. The originally ordinary meat slices, paired with Anduin's sesame sauce, instantly created a complex aroma, assaulting his taste buds, making Hagrid constantly exclaim how enjoyable it was.
The two of them kept adding ingredients to the hot pot, eating with great relish.
After the meal, Hagrid patted his full stomach with satisfaction and said, "Anduin, you know so much, I wish you could live here."
The speaker didn't mean much, but the listener took it to heart. When Anduin heard this, he had some ideas. It didn't seem impossible. Usually, besides going to class, he basically stayed in his room in the Slytherin common room. Staying underground every day, although seeing the scenery in the lake was nice, it wasn't as good as the open scenery here, and he could enjoy bonfires and delicious food. It wouldn't be bad to live here occasionally.
So Anduin said to Hagrid, "It's not impossible to live here occasionally. This place is big, and it's convenient for me to practice spells and martial arts, but you only have one house here, where would I sleep if I lived here?"
When Hagrid heard that Anduin was willing to live here, he was very excited to think that someone could accompany him, and said, "It doesn't matter, I can build another room for you next door. There are many trees in the Forbidden Forest, and it won't take a few days to get you a room."
Anduin thought about it and felt it was okay, so he nodded and said, "Okay, I'll come over to help every afternoon starting tomorrow. I'll move in to accompany you after the small house is built. Although I can't stay with you every day, it's no problem to live here two or three days a week."
When Hagrid heard this, he naturally nodded in agreement. You know, he stayed here to watch over the Forbidden Forest. Usually, besides raising some small animals to accompany him, Professor Kettleburn would occasionally come to see him. Although he was also staying at Hogwarts, he was usually very bored.
After discussing it, Anduin went straight back to the castle.
The next day, at about three o'clock in the afternoon, Anduin, after finishing his class, ran towards Hagrid's hut.
When Anduin arrived outside the hut, he found that Hagrid had already chopped a lot of wood and piled stones next to him, and Hagrid himself was cleaning the land next to the hut, and had already leveled the ground with a radius of ten square meters. It seemed that he was even more active than Anduin.
Seeing this, Anduin quickly stepped forward to help, and together they cleaned the surrounding ground, and then used a cutting curse to cut four thick logs, inserted them in the four corners of the leveled ground, and then used magic to lift the stones one by one, arranged them in a long line to cover the ground, and then used a cutting curse to level the ground to ensure there were no uneven places, after all, they were not bricks, and the flatness could not be guaranteed.
Then it was time to build the outer wall, also cutting the wood and laying it seamlessly on the ground. Hagrid took nails and a hammer to nail the wall panels firmly. After the horizontal and vertical planks were nailed, Anduin used a floating curse to control the wall panels to stand on two wooden stakes, and Hagrid nailed the wall panels and wooden stakes firmly. In this way, one wall was completed.
After repeating it three times, the four walls were installed. One of the walls was directly nailed to Hagrid's hut because it was close to Hagrid's hut.
After finishing all this, it was evening. Anduin followed suit and had another hot pot meal with Hagrid before returning to the castle.
In the following days, he went to Hagrid's to help build the house after class, the roof, the indoor fireplace, the wooden floor, the door, the windows. Hagrid also thoughtfully built a small balcony outside Anduin's room, so that he could sit outside the room to rest or have afternoon tea when he had nothing to do.
Two doors were installed in the room, one leading directly to the outside, going out through the balcony with eaves, and going down a three-section small wooden staircase, which was Hagrid's vegetable garden, and the other door leading directly to Hagrid's house.
Hagrid personally made a lot of furniture for Anduin's small room. It must be said that Hagrid's woodworking skills were really good, and he also helped lay leather carpets. Soon, this room was completed.
Anduin also moved to live next door to Hagrid. The style of the room was very similar to Hagrid's hut. Whether it was the bed, tables, chairs, or wardrobe, they all gave a rough feeling. The carpets and bedding were also made of fur products. The whole cabin gave a feeling of a hunter's cabin.
Since Anduin ran to Hagrid's to live from time to time, it was even more difficult to find Anduin in Hogwarts. Even Vivian couldn't find him sometimes. Except for when he suddenly appeared from nowhere during class, she couldn't even see him during meal times now.
This day, after Anduin finished his History of Magic class, he did not go directly back to Hagrid's hut, but turned upstairs and walked into a boys' bathroom, where someone was waiting for him.
"Randall, you are very punctual," Anduin said with a slight smile, looking at Randall Rosier in front of him.
"An, Anduin, what do you want to do to let me go?" Rosier looked at Anduin with fear in his eyes.
Anduin walked forward, put one hand on Rosier's shoulder, and said with a smile: "Don't make me sound like a devil, you see I haven't treated you badly, haven't I? Wasn't your brother killed? This way your order of inheritance in the family will be improved, right? By the way, did you bring this month's protection fee?"
Rosier, who was being held, was already very nervous, but after hearing Anduin's words, he trembled even more, and said tremblingly: "Evan's death is indeed related to you. His matter has turned the family upside down. How can I have the time to think about inheritance? I really have no money. I risked taking a few magic books from the family, see if they can be used to pay off the debt."
